I was lucky enough to discover Snow Patrol in '07 back in high school as an angsty teenager. I was in love, but had to move to another state for college. This album helped me through some really tough depression. Fast forward 10 years and I'm still listening to this same album remembering those days only to realize they weren't so bad. I still remember the first time listening to this song with my dad in the old Mini Cooper. We were driving to the dealership. But then my dad put a CD in the player and this song started playing. It's one of the earliest memories I have with him. I think about this whenever I hear this song.
"Dwight, listen: no matter what happens, you gotta forget about all the other stuff. You gotta forget about logic and fear and doubt. You just gotta do everything you can to get to the one woman who’s gonna make all this worth it. At the end of the day, you gotta jump. You love Angela, Dwight. I think you always have. " - Jim
Always think of this when i listen to this song: Dwight, listen: no matter what happens, you gotta forget about all the other stuff. You gotta forget about logic and fear and doubt. You just gotta do everything you can to get to the one woman who’s gonna make all this worth it. At the end of the day, you gotta jump. You love Angela, Dwight. I think you always have.
This song always reminds me of a horrible time in my life, where my Ex-Girlfriend cheated on me, in the same time my mum betrayed me financially. I ended up alone and homeless in my car. I didn't know what to do with myself at this time. So i drive for hours and hours to deal with my feelings and past the time. That song played all the time in the radio, when i drive around the country. One day after finally getting out of that hole and I moved into my own place and this song started playing on the radio. it was a new beginning for me and the start of a new life. Music is sometimes a mystery.
IM reading what u write here from Brazil and what i can say 4 u is, keep strong cause everything is passenger, u are a strong human and the pot of gold is few miles ahead
The footage for the video was taken from a film called c'etait un rendezvous (it was a meeting) in Paris. It was shot in one take and the actor caused outrage at the time by driving through red lights, even though it was shot at 5.30a.m! I find it fascinating how the length of the clip fits perfectly to the music!
It was a rendezvous and for real. There was some one almost driven off his sneakers. Maybe theylle meet again. On top of the hill. Could be the last time. She is sick.
In 2004 My best friend died. We had both just turned 24. Everytime I hear this song I think of him. It hits me like no other song. Make sure you tell the people you love that you do love them. Once they are gone it is too late. It's literally the only true soul crushing regret I have. Please learn from my mistake, I can assure you it will save you a lifetime of pain and regret. I would give anything for him to open his eyes one more time so I could tell him how much I loved him.
If you were best friends he knows you loved him dearly, let that go, his legacy lives in you remembering him, so make the most of your life, its the best way to honor his.
Can relate. I lost my true best friend in a car accident in Melbourne Australia in 1987, he was only 20 yrs old. The older you get the more those people mean to you.
Just came here again after that episode. The Office is one of the best series that‘s ever made. It’s funny, emotional and makes you really think. I wish it would have continued forever…
Dwight, listen. No matter what happens, you gotta forget about all the other stuff. You gotta forget about logic, and fear, and doubt. It's incredible how music has the ability to bring you back to a past moment in your life. How you can remember the first time you listened to a song, or a specific memorable time when you listened to it, and your mind go back for a moment, though now you are not there anymore. I wish I could actually go back to the moment I listened this song for the first time.
I had feelings for this girl at law school. Felt that for two years. Unfortunately, it was one sided. But I don't have quarrels about that. I told her how I felt, respected her essence, time and space and gave her "Eyes Open", dedicating "Open Your Eyes" for her, telling that this song summed up everything I felt during these two years that I loved her. I cherish every memory I have with her, but I'm moving forward.
Lyrics 🌹 All this feels strange and untrue And I won't waste a minute without you My bones ache, my skin feels cold And I'm getting so tired and so old The anger swells in my guts And I won't feel these slices and cuts I want so much to open your eyes 'Cause I need you to look into mine Tell me that you'll open your eyes Tell me that you'll open your eyes Tell me that you'll open your eyes Tell me that you'll open your eyes Get up, get out, get away from these liars 'Cause they don't get your soul or your fire Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine And we'll walk from this dark room for the last time Every minute from this minute now We can do what we like anywhere I want so much to open your eyes 'Cause I need you to look into mine Tell me that you'll open your eyes Tell me that you'll open your eyes Tell me that you'll open your eyes Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Érico Roque Valeu a aula.
The Office was for me and many others, the best show ever made and I still miss it today. A.A.R.M. is by far my favorite episode, but overall, just thinking about this wonderful show and it's characters can make me smile or chuckle at anytime. Thanks, The Office, for all the laughs!❤
I watched this video many times over the years and never even thought that this video shows Paris. I visited Europe for the first time this year and I had déjà vu because I recognized all these places when I was walking around Paris.
Sempre avante. 🙌

This song, this album brings me to a breakup with an girlfriend and it still cuts to the bone today. In many ways this album helped me through the grief of the split. Little did I know that this was a key moment in my life that shaped me and set me off on a new trajectory. It is without doubt a perfect video to a perfect song. The melancholic revelry this song brings to be really is beyond explanation.
I know life can be rough, i feel you and hard times are why I'm here, too. You are not alone in this and there are better times ahead. There always are.
I rewatched this video years after I first found this song and, this time, it felt so much better, because I used to daydream about going to Paris back then. Now, having been there myself, I can recognise a lot of places on the screen and imagine that, as I watch, I'm reliving my memories there all over again ☺
when I feel anxiety, start a panic attack or just can't stay at peace in my mind, I watch this video and it gives me an inexplicable feeling of peace, due to the combination of the music, the image, the voice... thanks to the band for having created this, I don't know you, but know that you heal me every time for more than 10 years

I come back to this song at least once a year, and every time repeat it for days or weeks. It plays in my head to the soundtrack of my not-yet-existent-book-based-fantasy-film-franchize. One day hopefully you'll all get to see ❤
After 16 years, my cat passed away this past weekend. I sat there and held him during the injection and my world flew apart at the seams. No thoughts or emotional walls could have prepared me for that moment. This song is utterly beautiful and I don't think I have ever cried so much over sung words that I didn't write myself. This is a musical masterpiece and while I wish that it made everything easier, it has honestly made the past couple days harder. I cannot get this song out of my head. Love is so powerful. The character of the song lost a loved one and the words couldn't be more perfect for expressing the same feelings that they go through. Your world ends for a brief while. It becomes strange and untrue... For that reason, I am glad I heard it. Because for the first time since last friday, someone was able to actually put into words what I was feeling...
The Batman I have no idea why you would even bring that into this, but it is completely out of place. Quite frankly, nobody asked for any such opinion.
So because nobody asked for it that means I'm not allowed to express my opinion or that it's somehow invalid? To be frank with you, no one asked for your story about your cat but you told us regardless.
I never judged Paul for expressing himself. In fact the only one judging someone for an expression of theirs is you. I expressed my opinion on the classic dog vs cat debate and now you're judging me. If I want to express my opinion you can't stop me.
***** Then why comment. You are only here for a reaction, not to confess your hate for cats. Quite frankly, I don't care what animal you like or hate. Move along, little boy.
During the quarantine time, or French people here called it "Le Confinement", watching this video is such... a relief. i live in Paris, and i know all the single street in this video. it's like a little fire from the matches that lighting up inside of my dark deep sadness moment during this hard time. Damn, i can't wait to walk around my city again. i really do can't wait.
Not being from Paris(or having been there), I wondered if my guess was correct. What struck me was how and when this filmed. My guess is on a bike at late afternoon or morning and at quite a speed(although I have been told that's a normality in Paris :D)...through what looks like a few red lights. Quite mesmerizing! Stay strong through these trying times. Solidarity.
Wari Murphy its a short movie by Claude Lelouch, it tell the story of a men who love a women and he have a rendez vous with her and he dont want to be late
Few years back I heard this song at a friend's place and I was blown away by the video, after that I completely forgot about which song that was, and only the cinematic shots played in my mind. I searched litrally for years. Today I heard this song in one of the OFFICE episode. After so many years I had actually forgotten the song but the moment I saw the thumbnail, Nostalgia kicked in....I found that song❤️
If the video mesmerizes you so, you'd be interested to know that this is an unedited 10~ minute movie by Claude Lelouch who, in 1976, simply gave himself the task of crossing the city of Paris as fast as possible with a camera attached to his car, which he pushed to it's absolute limits through the streets in the early morning. All of that to meet a date of his for breakfast. It's called "C'était un rendez-vous" and there is nothing else quite like it.
This clip along with yellow by coldplay are my two favorite music clips ever produced. There is something so simple about both of them, yet they are both genius. This is pure art, I love the improvisation and naturality behind this; the day dawning and the world awakening. The melody perfectly in sync with the visuals. I once ran across the city and felt so connected yet disconnected at the same time. I think this is what art is all about - you can try and describe how u relate and how it makes u feel, and sometimes u connect but It's not necessarily something objective rather it's subjective to each one's interpretation. There is order from this chao and there is chaos from this order. This video is amazing and it is a true gem. I love the element of improvisation and how one is a part of the system yet transcends it at the same time - Running on his own clock
A long time ago I listened to this song on repeat for 3.5 hours straight on a solo road trip. Phenomenal track that reaches one’s soul in ways impossible to articulate.

I still remember the first time listening to this song with my dad in the old Mini Cooper. We were driving to the dealership. But then my dad put a CD in the player and this song started playing. It's one of the earliest memories I have with him. I think about this whenever I hear this song.

literally almost cried when i saw this THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME OF WHERE THIS SONG FIT IN MY MEMORY. this is awesome
literally just watched that episode
I don't know why, but this song brings me incredible peace
This song always reminds me of a horrible time in my life, where my Ex-Girlfriend cheated on me, in the same time my mum betrayed me financially. I ended up alone and homeless in my car.
I didn't know what to do with myself at this time. So i drive for hours and hours to deal with my feelings and past the time. That song played all the time in the radio, when i drive around the country.
One day after finally getting out of that hole and I moved into my own place and this song started playing on the radio. it was a new beginning for me and the start of a new life.
Music is sometimes a mystery.

They actually cut it short, the original movie was around two minutes longer. they've cut out the beginning actually

That's true but people choose not too, just like they choose too. it's not a perception it's the truth.
If you were best friends he knows you loved him dearly, let that go, his legacy lives in you remembering him, so make the most of your life, its the best way to honor his.

It's incredible how music has the ability to bring you back to a past moment in your life. How you can remember the first time you listened to a song, or a specific memorable time when you listened to it, and your mind go back for a moment, though now you are not there anymore. I wish I could actually go back to the moment I listened this song for the first time.
Great comment mate and I’m 100% right there with you. I know EXACTLY what you mean. Peace out man
I had feelings for this girl at law school.

All this feels strange and untrue
And I won't waste a minute without you
My bones ache, my skin feels cold
And I'm getting so tired and so old
The anger swells in my guts
And I won't feel these slices and cuts
I want so much to open your eyes
'Cause I need you to look into mine
Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Get up, get out, get away from these liars
'Cause they don't get your soul or your fire
Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine
And we'll walk from this dark room for the last time
Every minute from this minute now
We can do what we like anywhere
I want so much to open your eyes
'Cause I need you to look into mine
Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Tell me that you'll open your eyes

ele pudesse.

Dogs > cats
Been walking around my hometown at night and it really is a beautiful thing.
Solidarity.
It's weird to see so many roads empty and than crowded again.
All womens sad and frustrated, the solutuon are sex, are wonderful for the body and soul.

Same here 😁
The Office is wonderfully British and so is this song.
@@HazelSolitaire thanks for the info buddy🤝

This was not a music video. It was a professional car driver racing in the streets of Paris (I think it was on a mercedes benz). The band used that.
Both filmed very early in the morning at daybreak
@@cartelerainmobiliariatv6553 It was a Mercedes 450SEL 6.9 :D, the film made it out to be a Ferrari 275 GTB tho
@@cartelerainmobiliariatv6553 yes it was a film called "c'etait un rendez vous" which was a high speed drive though Paris, that's all it was though

A long time ago I listened to this song on repeat for 3.5 hours straight on a solo road trip. Phenomenal track that reaches one’s soul in ways impossible to articulate.
