- Hello guys and welcome to our first "long" tutorial. It's about rigid bodies simulation in Blender 2.74.
I hope that my bad English is not "too" bad for you :)
This tutorial shows how we made the balloons simulation in Blender that we used for our short video "Up and down", you can watch it here:

Critics and comments are very welcome, let us know what you think and what you would like to see on our channel !
Our first "looong" tutorial is here, it's about physic simulation in Blender and i hope that you will enjoy it! Only.. be patient with my bad English :)
Excellent tutorial. It's rare to find information on Blender rigid body physics in such detail while referencing an impressive example. Good work sottozen!
Your Reel Memories thanks for kind words, really appreciated
Thanks Brother..!! A❤️ from India👍🔥
Thanks, some really useful tips and well explained.
thinkingbigthoughts thanks for nice words.
Thank you so much for your great tutorials! Your English is just fine ;)
Great tutorial. Thanks for share.
Excellent video ! Was looking to recreate a scene from Up, your tutorial is very helpful. Thumbs up + subscribe
great tutorial
simply amazing!!!! Thanks a lot for sharing such a wonderful tutorial! It helped me a lot.
Thank you. Btw this is a quite old one, you may want to watch more recently done about balloon sim.
thank you for this amazing tutorial
thank you.. this is an old video btw, you may want to visit my tutorial channel for more recent ones :)
gracias amigo

keter binah Thanks to you!
Amazing! :)
Your English is fine. Understood you completely.
Awesome!!!
Thanks.
nice
Bye bye ballon! thankyou. very helpful Tut. Ciao!
thanks for the tutorial... nothing wrong with your English... ciao :)
Grazie :)
haha I totally digged that intro to your town, first time I enjoyed an intro in a long time
Thank you soooo much :) This is one of my first tutorials, outdated now I am afraid...
@@sottozen I learned something! But I can't change the gravity of the whole scene for my use case...
@@robinschmid1639 I made another tutorial about balloons simulation, fresher I guess. I invite you to watch that :)
@@sottozen i couldn't find it . please share it here
Excellent material my friend. Would love a follow up on the string cloth simulation. Currently doing a project with a simulation of balloons, I will send you the result. Good luck!
+Guillermo Limon Thanks man. I will watch your work with pleasure! Best wishes! :)
Thank you for this tutorial. Would be nice if you could make an additional tutorial about the hole scene.
froehlichWL You are welcome. Maybe we will do it soon, stay tuned :)
Just one note. One doesn't need to create vertex groups that you mention as "clusters" @ 11:20. Hooking to selection will do just fine. At least it works without vertex groups in 2.79.
Otherwise, great tutorial and simulation! Thanks a lot! And no need to apologize for English.
Eugene Didkivskyy thanks for this :)
can we set a keyframe to choose what frame we want start the animation??
your accent is cute man love your way of speaking and your English is pretty good
Thanks man ! I really appreciate
@@sottozen you should make more long tutorials man we'll love to watch
@@hannankhan9658 I made some on my personal channel. Ceck them out if you like :)
@@sottozen SURE
Hi any plan to recreate similar tutorial like this with latest Blender?
When I anchor my string, it stays straight up and down when the balloon moves and it flies all over the place when the cube moves.
How are you doing this test by the way I love your videos
Daddo & Hotrod thanks man... this is an old test I made while ago. I don’t even remember it, I also must watch it again LOL
I think this might not work in newer versions as I tried it and the duplicating didn't work. Could you do an updated version?
VisuallyImpaired-Art i will have a look soon to find out if it works on 2.78
Thanks for the notice
@@sottozen I don't get it to work too. Apart from that, great tutorial!
@@Yowl I made a more recent tutorial regarding the same topic. Try also that, maybe can help. Cheers :)
Could you please update how you make balloons in a tutorial?
Ok... I will try it soon :)
Can't figure out how to constrain it to the box @ 4:20
In 2.9 the options are different and there is no Constraint to Point.
Yes. This is an old tutorial. many things have changed in newer Blender versions.
Maybe I will make a new one on my personal YT channel.
@@sottozen What is your personal YT?
Hi i have a question please! can you help me about it ??
Sure, I ll try!
I'd like to simulate two rigid Balloons or more into a rigid structure (Stratobus) and these balloons are fulfilled by Helium, in order to fly this structure. Is that possible with Blender or there other recommendations to do that ?
Thanks in advance.
@@hamzamouharrar4331 Mmmm.. not easy to answer. It really depends on which kind of animation/simulation you need. If you can animate your balloons Blender will work.
If you need a "real" simluation, then, it may be more complicated.
@@sottozen just i need to simulate the landing of the two balloons (few seconds) inside the stratobus that's all.
@@hamzamouharrar4331 Perfect then. Any 3D software should be fine. Blender is free and very powerful, give it a try! good luck :)

Tho I cant find rigid body .-.
Rigid Body Tools is found on the Objects tools.
