1:58 "Nothing like the charge shot that X normally fires"... but it does seem to vaguely resemble the mid-charge shot. The green one that is neither "lemon" nor full-charge shot.
It vaguely resembles it, but why put emphasis on a low level attack? That was basically the point, though I intentionally included footage showing the green shot too
I wouldn’t be surprised if maybe the green thing was something they might have made for toys specifically that might have been considered for the game but it went unused
I've always kept thinking that the Tree-Shaped blast was how the charge shot was gonna originally look like. But knowing now that it was going to be a blade, makes it even more interesting. ^w^ Thanks for the info, ColeFam! ;D
It isn’t a blade! It’s a drill! The drill that will pierce the heavens! Or maybe just shovel the snow. Frost Walrus’s stage is hard enough to traverse as it is.
Oh wow! So does that mean that the Ultimate Armor was unintentionally a precursor to both the Falcon Armor and the Blade Armor: being able to fly just about anywhere and also materialize a beam blade from the buster? That’s kind of neat!
Pretty crazy, eh? Really glad they revisited the concepts. Though, I wish the X6 Ultimate Armor used the saber from the Buster like Blade Armor does. Oh well, maybe next time, haha
@@ColeFam Agreed, hopefully Capcom decides to revisit these ideas in a potential X9, being able to fly freely like you can with the Falcon Armour sounds way better than having that awkward Force Armour hover.
Just had a thought what of when kotobukiya make an ultimate armor kit the x4 one will come with the hover board and Christmas tree and the x6 version will have the nova strike
It may also be a reference to the Zeros Cut ultimate armor, which had the same thing but purple. I'm guessing they didn't have time to add these features due to time constraints and could only finish a watered down Ultimate armor so they could actually finish Zeros campaign. Because Zeros Story is unfinished, lacking weapons and armor, replacing the missing weapons with features from the cut armor, like Zero's blade becoming purple and a double jump. So its capcom time constraints causing them to be unable to make new sprite animations and them never having time to add them in later games. X5, X6, and X7 all being unfinished and X8 regressing the series quite a bit in several aspects and the armor all being recolors of each other.

Happy to help, thanks for watching!

It's his X-mas shiv!
EDIT: Oh my God it actually IS a shiv...

Awesome vid! I wasn’t expecting the Christmas tree to be a blade, but it makes sense!
It kind of bugged me as of to what that was on the D-Arts figure, I kind of assumed it was just the half-charge shot.
That's what I assumed for a long time, too. But seeing it as a small blade is such a cool idea.

Couldn't resist!

I'd definitely be okay with that happening
Merry Christmas! Great work as always
Thank you for the help!
4:24 - Did you say "Reploid Research... Lavatory"?!
It's a website. And the name comes from a typo in Xtreme 2
_Please, never make your armor wink every again._ It is terrifying. ):
I cannot promise this
This isn’t the video I was expecting

What if it was used during the Nova Strike?
Like an extra strong kill point?
@@ColeFam I mean, it does penetrate enemy defenses.
