I think Primus's "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver" in that game was one of my first exposures to the band. I'm still a huge fan years later, having seen them live several times and playing bass in a band that covered Primus a lot in highschool.
Goldfinger was awesome. Spokesman gave me chills back in the day. Mega cheers to whoever included it in 4. Hours spent skating to that song!

Tony Hawk made sure younger millennials got a chance to experience an insane amount of good music that we weren’t being shown anywhere else in the 2000’s. For that he’s always got my respect.

"Police Truck" was the coolest thing I'd ever heard as a 12 year old in 1999. Not a chance I'd ever have heard it without the immaculate THPS soundtrack.

@grimrecords7656 you should get the remaster. It's 1 & 2 and the devs added mods so you have perfect balance, perfect grind and never fall. For whatever reason Spiderman isn't in it but it's like a trip down memory lane.

Absolutely. Put a lot of good hip hop on the map. As do a lot of skaters and the culture. Certain groups like Jurassic 5 and styles of beyond, living legends are all my favorites

I thought for sure that would happen after they remastered 1+2 a few years back, and the studio behind it did have plans to re-release 3+4 and maybe both THUGs later but as I understand it all plans were scrapped after the Activision buyout, which sucks cuz 3 was my shit growing up, best soundtrack imo

Them tony hawk games were something else. I remember playing the demo disc of the first game and being blown away as a kid. I think I liked the third one the most. And the music in that game was so good.

I’m still mad at myself, when the first Tony Hawk came out I got a demo disc from Sega for the Dreamcast system and it was AWESOME! 128 bit. I wanted the game so bad. I was supposed to go visit my friend out of state for like a month over the summer and he didn’t have a Dreamcast he had an N64, so I foolishly decided to get the N64 version so we could play it that summer. After playing the demo from Dreamcast I couldn’t even play the 64 version. The graphics were so terrible in comparison and the game had horrible lag. Still resentful like 24 years later.
Dreamcast was insanely ahead of it's time, no console even came close. Too bad gamers refused to buy it and waiting for Playstation 2.
@@cattysplat - I couldn’t agree more! When I got my Dreamcast and played games like NFL2K, Sonic, Soul Caliber, etc. I was blown away! I was probably one of the only kids in my age group that never bought a PS2 (or any PS for that matter). I already had a DVD player in my room so I didn’t need that feature, and I’ve always hated the PS controller - even now, I’m an XBox guy.
Growing up around alot of Hip Hop and R&B music where i lived the Tony Hawk series was my introduction into Rock and Alternative music good times.
