Keanu is a real man's man. Dude is just cool. Buys a motorcycle company so he can ride a bike with a design he wants. Grows a beard, wears that beard in all his movies. Long hair, don't care. Wants to start a band, starts one and Fender eventually sponsors them. Dude just loves everything we love and is happy to share it.

Dude just could not get any cooler. He teaches you how to be in the moment and enjoy your life. He is not about big money and shimsham, he's like any a kid, like any of us, enjoying the journey just like we do and smiling through that. What a dude
Seeing him move around not in a character... Normally you see him sitting on a panel show talking. Here you see him moving around... Having fun... Being human.
He's fucked in the head, the world's fucked in the head, and YOU'RE fucked in the head because MY fucked up head is inside it. Guess if you wanna save the world, that's the first step; get fucked in the head. -Johnny Silverhand
It’s his childlike wonder and excitement, plus his humanity towards others that makes my heart feel good. If half the people in the world could embrace this concept, the world would be a better place for future generations.
It's tough to do because we produce a system that encourages you to tamp that down pretty early. You go to school to learn but what you find out is that the adults are wanting you to demonstrate you're able to let go of childish notions to prove you're worthy of responsibility. That's what they want from you. To saddle you with responsibility and yoke you to productivity and labor. Keanu literally played the role of Ted; his militant father demands obedience and conformity to a culture that disdains "daydreaming". I think the result is that we generate people who take themselves very seriously and it is that state of being that snuffs out the imagination and free spiritness of child-like wonder and appreciation. Chasing after the allure of prestige through commerce and accumulation instead of the splendor of beauty all around us and within us. Children exude it and the elderly reconnect with it. In-between is lots of wasted time.
New experience, new achievements! I'm truly grateful for the opportunity I had to meet Reeves last week through Radiant Reservation. I'm still amazed at how he took the time to interact with his fans; he's incredibly down-to-earth.
Wow, that's incredible!I have a lot of questions on my mind . How did you get to meet him, meeting him would feel like a dream come through! Yet, does becoming a club member pose its own set of challenges?
In 2023 I watched an interview on E-news where Reeves shared his experiences meeting devoted fans. Intrigued by the topic, I delved into some research and found an exclusive fan club via Radiant Reservation. As member there is a chance to meet him Reeves sets aside time at the end of each month to meet with active club members.
Becoming a member of this exclusive fan club is very easy, all you need is simply pay attention to your email , meet certain criteria such as active participation in fan events. The opportunity is worthwhile,I have always imagined how it would feel to meet him. He exceeded my expectations ,we talked about a lot of things, and he often laughed heartily before answering most of my questions. He mentioned that he changed his hair because he's preparing to film Constantine 2.
I stumbled upon RR, the Radiant Reservation community, which excels in facilitating arrangements with celebrities/public figures and private organizations. Their tremendous support makes them an outstanding resource for such endeavors.
That sounds amazing! I'll definitely explore the possibility of joining the club. Appreciate you sharing this information! Indeed, it's a fantastic opportunity for fans like us.
I love how Fender probably reached out and was like “we wanna interview you for our Artist Series” and Keanu was probably like “hey is it okay if i show off my motorcycles too?” and they just went “yeah, sure” Literally one of the coolest dudes alive, would totally love to meet and jam with the dude. Keep it up, Keanu, we love you! 🎸🤘❤️
Keanu is the most down to earth person. Yes, he is a famous star, but he doesn't see himself as that, it's just a job to him. I have so much respect for this man and how he treats people and life.
i think it's a job and a dream, a passion even maybe, but he doesn't forget he's only human, just like any of us, and aims to make the world a better place, that comes with first being nice to people and as uncomplicated as possible
The fact that this dude names Hooky, Joy Division and The Cure as some of his bass influences, have elevated my respect and admiration for him. Those are some of my early influences as a bass player myself, as well as many other bands in the Post Punk, Goth, New Wave, Coldwave, Darkwave, Synthwave and Shoegaze genres. Not to mention that the guy is not only super cool but, a genuinely nice and kindhearted soul. I wish I could meet him someday. It would be cool to discuss bands, bass, bikes and more over a cup of coffee and breakfast on a cold, rainy morning...
Totally. And the great thing about most of those artists is that new bass players can play along pretty quickly. Hooky was just learning to play bass himself during Joy Division so the parts aren’t complicated. Newbie bass players trying to follow in the footsteps of somebody like Geddy Lee, on the other hand, can’t get anywhere close to playing Geddy’s parts. (I speak from experience!)
I'm starting bass and have similar tastes/influences! Saw Keanu at that same guitar center in Hollywood! I regret not talking to him more and taking a picture :( Asked him if he was there to get his bass fixed (he was placing his bass back in the case) and he said just nodded and said yeah, but I noticed his face got kinda red so I figured he was shy or maybe wanted to stay low-key. I ended up being too shy myself and didn't bother him for a picture. I should've just asked :'(
I’ve been scrolling through the comments, expecting to find at least one negative remark about this man-because, let’s face it, no one is universally loved, right? Wrong. Turns out Keanu Reeves defies the odds. He’s genuinely admired by everyone. I really hope I get the chance to meet him one day.
I once had the chance to meet Keanu Reeves privately, inspired by an old E! News interview where he mentioned connecting with fans through an exclusive members club. It was an incredible and unexpected experience.
I recall seeing an E! News interview where Keanu Reeves mentioned connecting with fans through Radiant Reservation-it's incredible that you were a part of that!
I enjoy watching educational videos on TH-cam, especially Keanu Reeves interviews. If he ever launched his own insightful channel, I'd definitely share his wisdom with my future kids
I'm still in disbelief-I had the opportunity to join an exclusive club via Radiant Reservation . Meeting Keanu Reeves was incredible; he's even more charming in person than I ever imagined.
They appear to be well-resourced and well-connected in fostering relationships between fans and their favorite stars. A quick online search led me to their website-thanks for sharing!
Learning to play an instrument when you are in your 50’s is exactly like he’s talking about, the process is where the magic is, you’re not in a hurry for anything because you’ve learned that rushing through life is just not worth it, slow down and enjoy the ride, the fun is in figuring it all out, it’s magical!!!
I started playing guitar in my 30's... just for me, no expectations or stress or any rush.... I figured if I can learn 1 song well enough thats good enough for me... Now I'm in early 40's and in a band and getting paid to have fun.... beyond amazing to me, totally magical.
Blister on your thumb ? Ive never had that one haha sore fingertips and a blister on plucking fingers but never that. Maybe that is more of a plectrum playing injury ? I play finger style im terrible with a pick, i ignored playing with it.
@AspiringSpaceWizard I mainly play guitar so I'm used to using my thumb on the low e when I'm going fingerstyle so when I play bass I do the same thing so maybe it's something similar to that for them
I saw Reeves in a cafe a few years ago, he was sitting 2 tables next to me. Fans asked for autographs and photos and he was really friendly to everyone. A friend is an agent and looked after him on a promotional tour. She said that she had never had such an uncomplicated star as him. the guy remained completely normal.
He bought a sandwich from me in Vermont once. Came in with his motorcycle helmet on but when he placed his order I knew that voice and said "Keanu?" He laughed and took off the helmet and we talked while I made the sandwich. Just as I was done a tour bus pulled up out front and he got a panicked look. I pointed to the back door and he grinned, threw me a $10 for a $5 sandwich and skedaddled out the back. Sigh, it was a mighty fine moment.
Thats really rare for an American star on his level of fame. Happens in Europe though. His humility and humanity always set him apart. Nice to hear he still feels safe out and about and being as spontaneous as he feels like in the moment. Very few actually do, for very real reasons. I'd never dream of bugging someone like this for autographs or attention. That's a huge deterrent for moving freely in public. I have aquaintances that bought homes here in rural Europe for the singular reason of being able to go grocery shopping with their family and do normal stuff without being bugged by people (or even recognized alot of the time). Once yoy get how limiting that feeling is, you understand that kind of fame has huge set backs although it's integral to doing well in the performing arts. You have to be very level headed to not loose touch with yourself and start evolving solely within a weird and unhealthy bubble of "superstars". The thing about Keanu is his was always really level headed, and not driven by other peoples ideals or ambitions, but his own passions and interests. He also somehow managed to handle the angst of existance alot better than most, though he's been more challenged. He didn't lose sight of himself and join a cult (not naming here) or reach for religious dogma to deal with the blows. It takes a certain type of inner stregnth and humility to remain anchored in who you always were, in his scenario. It's a gift, but also something I assume he's worked really hard on. Huge respect for that. I can see why music suits him. He's more of a musician type of personality and the typical actor. And I disagree with the "dudes dude" comment. I think he's entirely disinterested in the alpha/beta binary view of people, genders and self. But if he's a rolemodel for men, that's very positive.
In the first matrix and Constantine, one actor plays under the name Keanu Reeves, and in John Wick, under the same name, Keanu Reeves is played by another actor, he is his understudy both in the movies and in real life for almost 30 years (just like Tom Cruise's understudies) . They've been bullying their fans like this for 25 years. In the last matrix, they both played under the same name Keanu Reeves in different episodes. Programmers, run this through a special face recognition program and see for yourself.
As someone who considers Keanu Reeves a personal hero of sorts and has been considering trying to take up the bass again as a hobby, watching this feels like receiving a sign from the universe.
I love how genuine he is. He’s obviously not on par with the big dogs out there in terms of bass playing, but he loves the bass, he loves making music, it translate very well.
this is the big "secret" to Keanu. he's not a GREAT actor, he's not a GREAT bass player...he's just a GREAT human. he is what we all want to be, to hang around, to be friends with, to just know him would surely elevate a vibe of....relax and be there. his persona is just having fun, not so serious about life, doing his thing and being Keanu. this is what people adore about him.
Coming off Cyberpunk 2077 fresh, this video was like Johnny Silverhand telling his life's story, the parts of him we never got see or learn. He really lives and act his life out in the films and the video games. Keanu Reeves, what a guy.
I love seeing him so animated. I know his acting montra is kind of the dead pan, not much talking (at least since Matrix and amplified in the John Wick series), but this was a great change. He must really love the music and motorcycles. He seemed so alive. He doesn't need to be as animated as he was in Bill & Ted's, but it might be nice to see him in a move where he's closer to Point Break or Speed.
Keanu is a legend, humble and down to earth guy. I'm a big fan of him not only as an actor but as a person. Bet that person was so stoked to have met Keanu Reeves.
Keanu, he is always full of surprises! Where does he find the time? I bet if you would ask him that, he answer would be “ you don’t find it , you make it.” He is like a big kid! His humbleness is awesome and when he talks about music or bikes or acting you can just taste his passion! Can you imagine being that dude with the hockey T-shirt on and Keanu Reeves just walks up to you and asks you about hockey? Then you end up jamming with him! Unbelievable❤️🎸✨

@@decimus81 Yes! Make kids, spend all your time & money on them, dump your own joy and expression, and then be happy for the last 5 years of your life 'cause they will HOPEFULLY take care of you :D
This video inspired me to play electric guitar, and I ended up picking one up a few weeks after this video was posted. I love music and I love playing it. Best thing I picked up. Thank you fender for the inspiration and Keanu for his wonderful personality.
Playing music with other musicians is a feeling you can't explain...it all just comes together when you start jamming. It's cool to see Keanu in this light. Excellent dude. His view is on point.
9:30 Such a genuine moment for every musician, when you hit the wrong note or messed up the rythm, Keane really gives us his true self and thank you Fender for showing that. He is the best.
How inspirational!!! I love this! I always loved and admired guitar player and their talent. Now I'm 60 years old and retired. I bought my first guitar 2 months ago. Never played before, but I'm going to learn and live the next dream of my life. Thanks for this video.
5:53 "One time I was doing a film and Flea was in it" and he quickly reformulates to "or... I was in a film with Flea". I felt it so representative of Keanu's humility. Wholesome moment.
This makes me feel so much better about my guitar playing. My dad is a blues lead guitarist/frontman - for all his life. He bought me a guitar on my 10th bday and I never really caught any stride with it until I was about 26 or so. Keanu is a role model of mine, and seeing him just throwing himself into something kinda new like this and making it work despite not being some hotshot uber-talented child protoge (as my dad kind of was) gives me a healthier perspective on patience and the time it takes to get good at something as difficult as music playing. But also, more importantly, that no time is ever too late (until you die, as he mentioned about starting his motorcycle company). Love this video, and my primary guitar is a Fender '96 Mary Kaye relic strat. Wouldn't trade it for anything. \m/ \m/
I'm 26 now and started guitar around 10-ish too. Never really serious since I am always aware that I don't have any musical talent whatsoever. On and off, playing super casual. Recently I just started picking back the hobby and this really reminds me of the feels, to just simply have some fun. The fact that it features him, Keanu Reeves is such a bonus too, someone whose demeanor I admire, what an inspiration.
I wish. More celebrities were like this guy. Humble, down to earth, friendly. He seems to be a regular guy who just happened to hit the fame lottery. Good for him.
Gotta confess... I saw that thumbnail "Don't quit your day dream", and it made me shiver and gave a lump in my throat. Never such a simple little quote has made me question so many stuff all at once, about my day job and how it makes me so unhappy, or how it made me forget my passion, my happiness, my guitar, and the music I love playing... all the to the depths of my core... I love this man. I'll swear to you, Keanu, I'm gonna persuit my happiness for real this time, and let my day dream actually go somewhere.
Keanu is very much like Johnny Cash just cool and everyone can relate to them and be inspired to be like them. Regardless of our differences we have people like Keanu.
Thank you Keanu, its inspiring that you were so successful at many of the professions that I and many others have merely dreamt of pursuing, such as acting, music and engineering. I hope I can attempt to follow in your footsteps as far as learning guitar, as well as taking more classes in mechanical engineering, as well as art. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all.
Keanu's expression and the way he said "don't quit your daydream" reminded me of something Johnny Silverhand would say to V in one of those moments where you could actually tell he was starting to actually care for him/her
His kid like curiosity and enthusiasm for things is so infectious. That’s what makes life worth living, if you aren’t curious what’s the point. Long Live Keanu 🙏
I love how optimistic and kind Keanu is. Not a lot of people know that a lot of bad things have happened in his personal life. It’s super rare for a person of his stature to go through that and remain humble and not become bitter and jaded, especially in Hollywood.
Keanu Reeves is an inspiring example of someone who follows his dreams and does not quit his daydream. He shows us that we can have more than one passion in life and that we can pursue them with dedication and joy. Thank you.
It’s cool to see Keanu so moved about these things in his life. The most I’ve heard him in an interview. Speaks volumes about him. Love to have a beer and jam with him.
lovely to see how someone who has a completely different life and is in a completely different state in life can enjoy the same things i enjoy with happiness and a big smile in the face
I'm glad Keanu is still doing stuff with his band Dogstar - I went to see them when I was at Glastonbury in 1993 but a huge part of the audience just booed before they even came on. I asked the girl in front of me what was going on and had they said something awful but she said "no, he's just using his fame to get a place at Glastonbury". I replied that he was probably asked to come and play (more than likely by a young Emily Eavis begging her Dad to get to him there so she could meet him) and that didn't they want to hear what they're like at least and she looked confused and turned away from me. I was also doubly pissed off with the crowd as it took me ages to fight my way to that stage through the sea of people and poor Keanu and his band just had to come out and get abuse and then they left the stage. The lowest point of Glastonbury '93 for sure and if they come to the UK again I will try and see them.
In the first matrix and Constantine, one actor plays under the name Keanu Reeves, and in John Wick, under the same name, Keanu Reeves is played by another actor, he is his understudy both in the movies and in real life for almost 30 years (just like Tom Cruise's understudies) . Such an all round sweetheart and the sort of man we would all want as a friend. Keanu has always struck me as being very grounded, he hasn't become self-important despite his phenomenal film career and he has experienced things that have probably strengthened his convictions about what matters in life. Great that he makes time for music and wheels.
I love this mans soul ❤ he's so passionate about everything, kind and caring to. I love that he has dreams n just goes for them. I wish all celebrities were like Keanu. He's famous but still so down to earth n hasn't lost who he really is just bc he hit the fame lottery he's a national treasure ❤
Thank you Fender for another chance to hang out remotely with Keanu! Yeah, the Arch bikes are a dream for this old Harley rider. And a Fender Music Man was my first bass in 1978. My last and favorite bass is a Fender Jazz that I traded my Kramer 8-string for in 1981. That Jazz has been through so many nightclub gigs and now I play it at the best gig of all: worship at my church! My Jazz bass is the most reliable, playable axe I have ever owned. And, yes, it smells good too! Thank you Fender for making a bass that feel so good to play I do not like putting it down!
It’s good to see a famous and successful movie icon that doesn’t think he is above everyone Keanu is a breath of fresh air keep being you dude and keep jamming
Keanu has so much drive and passion for life. When he has a guitar strapped on and is on stage you can see that he is in the zone. He is a musician. Yes. Keanu has great Mana.
Most down-to-earth, very giving actor out there. Rides the bus and just lives life and treats people like we all should. Does his own stunts and firearm training in John Wick movies. Just an awesome guy.
I had no idea he played in a band! I’ve been watching him since bill & ted. He’s my absolute favorite actor! He’s the only one I’d care to meet. I’d love to spend a day just talking and picking his brain. He’s the one person that didn’t let fortune and fame change him. He’s the kindest most caring humble honest man. We need more people like him.
He doesn’t have to be an outstanding bassist and he knows full well! His PASSION and unadulterated LOVE of the instrument comes shining through! Full force! Something many of us forget or otherwise lose sight of as we struggle with ‘perfection’ or theory or chasing another’s style/tone rather than our own singular voice with the bass. Sometimes….”just play and just love it” is solid advice.
I have always loved bass guitar (💓Flea) And hope that when I grow up, I'm only forty-four😉, to get a motorcycle (I kinda want a Spyder, I know, I know lol) . And I will never lose my daydream of Keanu Reeves 💓❤️💓❤️ Three my five favorite things😁 Rock n Roll , my son 24 and daughter 13🥰

He paid some dues before he was able to do what he wants.
He’s a great example of real masculinity…he’s true to himself, and not afraid to accept and fight for others ❤️
Keanu would be first to say that “a man’s man” is a ridiculous notion of gender.
Keanu played in Dogstar way back in the 90s. They've reunited the band.
I’d play guitar with this dude anytime! Just love the way he thinks about music.
“I asked him if he wanted to start a motorcycle company and he said no, I said come on, he said why, and I said ‘because we’re gonna die’”. This right there, acceptance not fear leading to action instead of paralysis. Love it.
I loved that part! 😊
…”because we’re gonna die and I have this good-for-nothing fucking pile of money just sitting there.” Full quote. Probably.

(I speak from experience!)
cocteau twins are good too and killing joke.
I should've just asked :'(
@@Cntricnah man, you did the right thing!! he's just a dude, after all. a real human being should never be seen as a photo op
The excitement and passion Keanu has when he's talking about motorcycles or bass guitar puts the hugest smile on my face. 😊
Absolutely! What is better than bikes and guitars???
Love him. The one above all. An amazing human being and a bass player. What else can you ask for?
Also a motorcycle enthusiast
We need more Keanu's in yhe world today
Learning to play an instrument when you are in your 50’s is exactly like he’s talking about, the process is where the magic is, you’re not in a hurry for anything because you’ve learned that rushing through life is just not worth it, slow down and enjoy the ride, the fun is in figuring it all out, it’s magical!!!
I'm going through this now
I started playing guitar in my 30's... just for me, no expectations or stress or any rush.... I figured if I can learn 1 song well enough thats good enough for me...
Now I'm in early 40's and in a band and getting paid to have fun.... beyond amazing to me, totally magical.
Or in your 60's... during the pandemic, I didn't get a puppy (I'm allergic), and I didn't learn to make bread, but I did pick up the bass.
@@markmadonna4099 Slappin da bass mon!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
That's actualy wise
Keanu's joy is contagious. I picked up my bass again and got a blister on my thumb haha!
Blister on your thumb ? Ive never had that one haha sore fingertips and a blister on plucking fingers but never that. Maybe that is more of a plectrum playing injury ? I play finger style im terrible with a pick, i ignored playing with it.
@@AspiringSpaceWizard Look up Victor Wooten, and "funk/slap bass" and discover a whole new dimension of bass playing 🔥
Try using a pick it’s better for heavier baselines like Nirvana
@AspiringSpaceWizard I mainly play guitar so I'm used to using my thumb on the low e when I'm going fingerstyle so when I play bass I do the same thing so maybe it's something similar to that for them
Imagine not liking Keanu. It's so refreshing to see just how excited he is about this, you can see how at home he feels. This is precious.
@@Lelabearthat's so dope
It is literally impossible to dislike this guy! Absolute legend and a great guy.
Sei super fantastico❤❤❤
I love how genuine he is. He’s obviously not on par with the big dogs out there in terms of bass playing, but he loves the bass, he loves making music, it translate very well.
Some of the best music is the simplest
Ac dc is one of the biggest bands ever. Look up the bass lines on those songs. Keanus lines are probably a little more complicated then that even
That’s it man it’s about the passion
@@AspiringSpaceWizard Bass playing is about more than how many notes there are and how fast it is.
this is the big "secret" to Keanu. he's not a GREAT actor, he's not a GREAT bass player...he's just a GREAT human.
he is what we all want to be, to hang around, to be friends with, to just know him would surely elevate a vibe of....relax and be there.
his persona is just having fun, not so serious about life, doing his thing and being Keanu.
this is what people adore about him.
Keanu, what a man!! ❤️

A martial artist as well.
What a dream life, his daughter and his girlfriend died, what a dream life
I love seeing him so animated.
Fender knocked it out of the park with this suprise collaboration, with such a likeable star and person as Keanu Reeves!

His humbleness is awesome and when he talks about music or bikes or acting you can just taste his passion! Keanu just makes you smile when you watch him. Great human being trying to lead life to the fullest.
Keanu is an amazing human being and seems really down to earth I love that.

Keanu has such Golden Retriever energy I love it!

I hope I can attempt to follow in your footsteps as far as learning guitar, as well as taking more classes in mechanical engineering, as well as art. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all.
Keanu's expression and the way he said "don't quit your daydream" reminded me of something Johnny Silverhand would say to V in one of those moments where you could actually tell he was starting to actually care for him/her
He’s such a dreamer. I love him!

Whoever booed him would have regretted it after watching John Wick.
