This is why I treat them as my extended family. When we eat, we eat together as family. We share each other's stories and joke with each other. My mother made sure that we didn't take them for granted. Their help is a privilege. Now my mom is gone, we let our employees make decisions when it comes to managing the house. They are unsupervised. We (siblings) live abroad. So, we trust our employees. They have been with us for an exceedingly long time as a family.

I miss my nanny who has been with me since I was 7 years old. She knew me so well, she saw my flaws but she still loved me. We fight sometimes because of misunderstanding but i always love her no matter what. She is like my big sister to me. Every night before we go to sleep, we always have a small talk about her life, her family in the province, her future plans, etc. And now, she’s married with an american guy and is now a mom. I’m so grateful for her because she took care of me and my siblings when my mom is busy at work (which we completely understand bc shes a single mom) LETS NOT FORGET TO THANK OUR NANNIES🥺♥️♥️
My family had a maid, she worked with us for years, eversince i was a smoll lad. You could say she's a big part of our family. She's old now, but i was surprised that she still want to work with us despite having a family in Indonesia. She's a very cheerful person. God bless her.
But that's why they hire immigrants, because they can pay them less. They would never hire an american white woman to do this job, because they would have to pay her minimum, fair wages.
A genuine salute to all the domestic workers who leave their family behind in order to provide them with a better future, and create memories with their employers for their coming future.
Very touching. It takes a special person to have the kind of positive attitude these ladies have about working as domestic helper. They take pride in their job.
My mother left Puerto Rico to work in the U.S. I will never forget all her sacrifice s. Like these incredibly strong women, she swallowed alot of bs because she was not stupid. She will always be my hero. To all women putting the needs of their families first, I thank you.
This makes me sad because my aunt is wealthy enough to hire these live-in maids but she taught her kids to treat them only as maids. The few times that I came over to her house and hung around, I could see how disrespectful her kids were being to those ladies, with one being significantly older than the women in this video (must be in her 60s). One time around 11pm, she even told her kid to come to that maid's room, woke her up and asked to come make some food for her husband. Then in the morning, she would have to be up at like 5 to prepare breakfast for their whole family. I just felt so bad because that lady was sweet and honest just like the people in this video, yet she was treated poorly and with no respect whatsoever from my aunt's family.
Thats messed up. We used to have a non live-in maid around 7 years ago and we all treated her like our family. My grandma was still very rude tho but the auntie knew how to stand up for herself so it was so funny to see how defeated my grandma would look after. Probably because the whole family was on the maids side because we knew my grandma was wrong. We moved countries now but I wanna visit her again when we go back
This is the problem with inequality, I can get why this is preached, you know how old and alone people in the developed countries are robbed and harassed more? Because human nature tells you the odds there, here if you become too warm with your maids they can get jealous as well and cause you harm, there is always some news article of families in developing countries being murdered by their own maid and their allies because they have first hand information about the wealth of their employer, of course all of this inequality is reducing only because the economy is getting more stable, unlike the past, stable and good economy dictates human behaviour, let's not blame anyone trying to keep anyone in check, as a warm modern society we still keep a check on a lot of things and still wrongly let misdeeds flourish as well
This shows how hard it is to make a decent living in their home countries. They would prefer to stay with their families but have to leave out of necessity. Much respect to these women.
god bless these angels, they are wonderful and caring and self sacrificing. may god take care of their families i hope they can visit their families soon one day
In india, we used to have a domestic helper too and it was much easier to talk to her than my own mom. My parents were in a different country at that time so we only talked around once a week. I also used to hang out with the domestic helpers kids more than my own sister and cousin because they only lived 5 minutes away and we went to the same tutor. I definitely miss hanging out with them more than I missed my family while they were in Canada and I was in India.
I loved my auntie. She worked for us for 10 years, basically my whole life. She retired to be with her family, but we wre super close and she was my best friend. Im still in contact with her but looking back now, she had to leave so much behind to come work for my family and she msut have missed them a lot. I was too young then, but they sacrifice so much for their families.
Taking care of my mom is my greatest desire and honestly, I have failed at it, so I completely understand the lady who sends everything back home and remains with just top-up money to make calls. It doesn't matter what you do if you can take care of your family, that's priceless💖
There is this woman who worked as nanny for elderly in singapore from my hometown. The sweetest thing was that when she chose not to continue working, beside gave the salaries, the family she worked for build her a house and visit her from time to time..it is like a new set of family living far away
this video reminds me how close i used to be with my Nanny when i was a kid 🤧 we spent time together and she took care of me a lot.. how respectful it is to be a helper ♥️
I practically grew up with domestic helpers since young. My family has hired domestic helpers 6 times and the helper that took care of my family the longest was 11 years All of them holds a special place in my heart and I think about them from time to time. (except for 1 because she was abusive to my brother and I when we were much younger) My family still keeps in contact with a few of them as well
My mom work as domestic helper in her whole life. My father didnt take responsible for me. Sometimes when i finished my classes, i went to the house where my mom work to help her. And now, i am 3rd year university student, my mom still work as domestic helper, but the owner let me live in the same house with my mom. ❤️
Our maid actually have her own room and bathroom and we always give her food from what we cook but i still feel sorry for her since she left her kids and came to work as a maid just to let them live a good life.
First few seconds I recognised the Filipino from the clearer English lol but like all their stories are touching, esp the one from Indonesia, seeing a child grow up to that extent like what I was able to practice my Filipino by speaking to them often, it was fun having people to talk to
Life is too short but it's hard too... Every country should provide enough things for every citizen so that they can live with their family together. 🥺
I used to have home helpers too, she’s very nice and we treat her like a family, but she doesn’t sit on the dining table to eat, instead she eats in the kitchen cuz she knows that when I smell spice I will sneeze, and she likes chilly a lot XD. I will cook with her sometimes too, especially Indonesian food (she’s from Indonesia) since frying food is very fun
We have like more than a dozen of maids in our house but I have never spoken rude towards them because they are just so sweet and caring. Sometimes, they understand me more than my parents. They sacrifice not seeing their children grow up and some are even being cheated on by their spouses just so they can earn more for the future of their family
I guess it’s sorta different everywhere. When I was still back in China I remembered families who have maids or babysitters who we called “hourly caretakers” are families who were super wealthy and if they would have live in maids then that was like billionaire level. After my family moved first of all we didn’t have that much money to hire anyone to take care of me second it was honestly hard for us to accept anyone who’s a total stranger to live in ur house or even do the most basic daily things with/for you. I just that’s kinda hard to imagine. My uni friend from Hong Kong told me they all had maids from southeastern Asian countries, I was shocked how it’s ubiquitous for them. I respect everyone who sacrifices their own time with family and has to work in another country. I’m also touched to see how these families hiring maids to help them in a way and treat them so well
though i understand Singapore parents are busy but many had been there and regretted it. as for the maids because most if not all of them are mothers with children without being able to see them so they pour attention and love to the young one that is what made them so suitable for their jobs.
That comes with choice. The Americans have the privilege to complain. These women often times do not. Because firstly, they cannot find a job that pays them this well in their conturies with their level of education. Secondly, they cannot afford to quit if the conditions are not good because of the responsibilities back home, sick kid, brothers , parents etc. Let's not glorify, poor women being forced to stay away from their family for many years and also apparently cannot complain about their job. Btw, this is not an attack on you.
Si Zhang I agree! Great that these women can do as well as they are within the system (I'm sure they consider themselves "lucky") but they shouldn't have to leave their families to send money home in the first place
@fka Pearl. My mother was a maid for 36 years. We are American. I can count on one hand the number of times my mother ever complained, and it was always to my grandma, when she thought my sister and I weren’t listening. Usually about missing my brothers and I. My mom worked in California, we lived with my grandmother 3000 miles away in rural South Carolina. Generalizations aren’t good.
@fka Pearl. These women also deserve better. Mothers belong with their children. The system is unfair that people are forced to leave their homes and go across the world just to survive.

@@ATRI007 where I come from the word "maid" is an insult. No one uses it. People who work in people's homes are called helpers
i never refered to them as nanny or maid because they're more than that
In the US, we call them “housekeeper” unless their duties are primarily childcare, then it is “nanny” or “nursemaid”
It's so sad the way these woman's grow someone's else children to grow their own :/ poor kids
That's a job, they got pay alot, same with other profession
@@Regina-lz4sj when did I deny it? I'm saying that they left their family (it isn't said literally but pay attention the way they speak about their family) to work as a maid while their own children have an absent mother. That's all I'm not judging, I'm just saying it's ironic.
@@Regina-lz4sj But in other professions you don't have to leave your own children behind!!
@@Patates2024 no actually, some professions make you really busy and unable to meet your children. my dad comes home like twice a year because of his job
@@arikcn Be real, since when do men look after their children. It's totally an exception in families (except dude is widowed or single parent). In my country, 70% of women work part-time and look after their children. Even in case they work full-time they still see their kids at the end of the day plus weekends.
However, these women can't see/hug their children for years.
When the boy said that he wants to take care of his helper one day and make an airway for her to travel to her hometown, I legit shed tears.
Omg....I miss my kakak.......She’s been with us for 10 years but she went back for her son, she is literally the nicest and the closest person to me....She watched me growing up since im still in my mom‘s womb,She taught me a lot of stuff, she knows me better than my mom.....Whenever I wanted to share my joy or sadness, the first person that I would ever think of is her......I miss her cuddles.... its been 7 years already and I still miss her...
why don't you go visit her and help her?
Their English skill 👍
Very intelligent women. They're bilinguals and eager to succeed. All the best for them and all domestic helpers. I hope they fufill their goals and dreams. They deserve it ❤️
I use to have maid and we treat as family. She tells us about her dream to work in milk factory and we agree. So now she's working there and still contact us.
Happy to know this 3 domestic helpers having good loving employers.
For Gloria Donato Villena
You did the right thing.
Either ignore or reply God Bless you Sir or Mam. As for me i will politely say Thank You Sir. You are most Welcome. Repeat the same when anyone calls you Stupid.
Only those who are Stupid call others Stupid. Many look down on helpers. Who knows one day they are the one that seriously need helpers. Even the dog loves you and kisses you.
God bless you all. Glad you are happy and enjoying your work in foreignland
I can actually relate to Colin I am very shy and introverted outside the house but with my Aunty I speak the most . Even I tell her that when I grow up I will take her with me to the U.S and help her travel. She would wake me up in the morning for school and now for online school too she wakes me up for my online classes, cooks me my favourite food on Sunday and rest days she prepares what is healthy. She loves me and I love her back 💞
It's nice to see how connected they are with their maids. I hope they really mean what they say.
These women are coming to our country just to take care of someone’s family just so they can feed their families props to these amazing women and all aunties who take care of us all our lives
My mom actually works as a house cleaner she works with 2 or 3 story houses alone the family's are very nice to her and give her clothes, shoes, toys ,and food for her and my siblings also my dad my mom works until 5 and comes home at 6 the people she works for are very nice I also worked for one of them well for 2 days to help my mom since I had no school ir was hard but I came throug it so I know how my mom feels like and how the kids that can't see there mother tho to work that much or not at all I know how that feels but I manage
😭❤️awwwwwwwwwww God bless ur family bro or sis...

What does dad do?
@@katyagrad3704 he works as a handy man he usually gets 4 or 5 works a day
These maids are so pure good hearted... Also the family they're working for... Hope they're always be fine.. 😀
We have a house help in Kenya as well.... She has been there since my husband was 5 and now he's 32. He loves her so much she was one of the first people we told when we got pregnant.
Especially the First Lady...! Kudos for sacrificing yourself for your brother!
I just hope that in future when he gets better with life , he takes care of you
She is very lucky to have a good.boss wish her luck to be there longer time if the boss is good they will stay with them thank you for sharing your beautiful story. Bless you all
I miss my nanny who has been with me since I was 7 years old.
This needs to be shared more....it's touching
All jobs may not be equal but all people are equal! Everyone who contributes to society's well-being are heroes! Kudos ladies!
My family had a maid, she worked with us for years, eversince i was a smoll lad. You could say she's a big part of our family. She's old now, but i was surprised that she still want to work with us despite having a family in Indonesia.
She's a very cheerful person. God bless her.
I used to have a domestic helper, she took care of me and my family for 8 years. She left two years ago and we still keep in contact :)
These aunties need to be paid more. They are underpaid, and have to work a lot.
But that's why they hire immigrants, because they can pay them less. They would never hire an american white woman to do this job, because they would have to pay her minimum, fair wages.
A genuine salute to all the domestic workers who leave their family behind in order to provide them with a better future, and create memories with their employers for their coming future.
She cried even in the interview recollecting the story
Very touching. It takes a special person to have the kind of positive attitude these ladies have about working as domestic helper. They take pride in their job.
I think so we should love our job otherwise our lives it will be miserable.
TH-cam suddenly recommended this while I'm thinking why I am just a maid😂 thank you yt love u
My mother left Puerto Rico to work in the U.S. I will never forget all her sacrifice s. Like these incredibly strong women, she swallowed alot of bs because she was not stupid. She will always be my hero. To all women putting the needs of their families first, I thank you.
glad to know employers are taking good care of their helpers too, very heartening
Because human nature tells you the odds there, here if you become too warm with your maids they can get jealous as well and cause you harm, there is always some news article of families in developing countries being murdered by their own maid and their allies because they have first hand information about the wealth of their employer, of course all of this inequality is reducing only because the economy is getting more stable, unlike the past, stable and good economy dictates human behaviour, let's not blame anyone trying to keep anyone in check, as a warm modern society we still keep a check on a lot of things and still wrongly let misdeeds flourish as well
Always happy to see people with positive mindsets at work! So inspiring!
I have a maid but she is leaving next year:( she's such a good maid
I have none

Thankyouverymuch to all the OFWs💗
Massive Respect for these women-
Some women prefer work to being a mother. I'm glad woman like this exist to fill the gaps that situation leaves in children's lives.
Those employers and employees are very lucky to have each other
I miss my Nanny, I called her mom, she basically raised me along with my older brother. Miss them both so much
Yes. Our auntie is working for us for 12 years now and we can't think of day without her 😊
This shows how hard it is to make a decent living in their home countries. They would prefer to stay with their families but have to leave out of necessity. Much respect to these women.
god bless these angels, they are wonderful and caring and self sacrificing. may god take care of their families i hope they can visit their families soon one day
These were one of the rare videos that made me smile
In india, we used to have a domestic helper too and it was much easier to talk to her than my own mom. My parents were in a different country at that time so we only talked around once a week. I also used to hang out with the domestic helpers kids more than my own sister and cousin because they only lived 5 minutes away and we went to the same tutor. I definitely miss hanging out with them more than I missed my family while they were in Canada and I was in India.
It's nice to know that their employers treat them like a human and not a slave.
Bless your heart. Repeat after me sister. Bless your heart. You can cut someone to their soul with them words
Erna sounds Singaporean because she’s lived there for so long now he he
Taking care of my mom is my greatest desire and honestly, I have failed at it, so I completely understand the lady who sends everything back home and remains with just top-up money to make calls.
My heart flies to all these kind, hard-working women. 🤗
I have a high regard with these women, they are so brave
I practically grew up with domestic helpers since young.
My family has hired domestic helpers 6 times and the helper that took care of my family the longest was 11 years
All of them holds a special place in my heart and I think about them from time to time. (except for 1 because she was abusive to my brother and I when we were much younger)
My family still keeps in contact with a few of them as well
My mom work as domestic helper in her whole life. My father didnt take responsible for me. Sometimes when i finished my classes, i went to the house where my mom work to help her. And now, i am 3rd year university student, my mom still work as domestic helper, but the owner let me live in the same house with my mom. ❤️
Study hard! You can do it 🙂
They key here is that their employers treat them like family.... hopefully that's all true🤞
Our maid actually have her own room and bathroom and we always give her food from what we cook but i still feel sorry for her since she left her kids and came to work as a maid just to let them live a good life.
same, i always give her my old toys, shirt, stuff to her for her kids
First few seconds I recognised the Filipino from the clearer English lol
but like all their stories are touching, esp the one from Indonesia, seeing a child grow up to that extent like what
I was able to practice my Filipino by speaking to them often, it was fun having people to talk to
These women deserve the world. They deserve the best and happiness.
Salute to this 3 brave women I'm happy that 3 of them are very happy to their employers
Ahh they are so trustworthy....Job is job no matter what job it is.we should love our job and also we should respect others job too...
Life is too short but it's hard too...
Every country should provide enough things for every citizen so that they can live with their family together. 🥺
my maid raised me from 6-14 and she was like a second mom to me but she left to take care of her own family and i miss her everyday🥲
When the girl in the family cried because of the boyfriend, the maid felt sad and cried to.. that's so sweet and look how close they were!
We have like more than a dozen of maids in our house but I have never spoken rude towards them because they are just so sweet and caring. Sometimes, they understand me more than my parents. They sacrifice not seeing their children grow up and some are even being cheated on by their spouses just so they can earn more for the future of their family
Thanks to all the families who treat them as families and not slaves.
Bravo to these women! Sacrifising.. Brave.. Loving.. Selfless..
I have a nanny like that she left one year ago and I miss her so much she's part of my family and she is my number one best friend
I’m also touched to see how these families hiring maids to help them in a way and treat them so well
this video literally touched my heart.
one of the 'maids' here looked like my old 'maid' which i dont prefer calling her that.. jeez i miss her :(
i dont calling them maids either. seems inhumane :-/
These women are just radiating wisdom. 💜
The boy is so kind and i hope that his wish will come true!!😱😱😭😭😇😇🥰🥰
though i understand Singapore parents are busy but many had been there and regretted it. as for the maids because most if not all of them are mothers with children without being able to see them so they pour attention and love to the young one that is what made them so suitable for their jobs.
This is my second times watching this and im still sobbing 😭 Bless you girls.... I hope the best of luck in your life and your family ❤️

Americans doing this job be like: Oh yeah I just wanted to travel, the family I’m staying with is soooo annoying ugh where’s the next Starbucks?
@@sandiezzz agreed! These women do it to survive and to have a better future for them and their loved ones.
These women are heroes for their family
this video make me cry by happiness
I've got a maid and she's worked for four years she's quite close to us and i actually used to make coffee for the both of us and we would chit chat except she got sick of the coffee after some time lol
