Take notes, no need to run fast on the warmup. These guys were jogging at at least 8:00 minute pace if not slower. Amazing video! Kenyan workouts are always a blessing.
i ran some good 5km races in my youth...now im 33 and started running again this spring for a company run in june. i just wanted to get in acceptable shape and not take longer than 22mins. it turned out to be a 20 something and i was hooked again. i made myself a plan like my coach did when i was a kid and stuck to that. last week i ran a 18:09. im hoping to get down to 17:45 in december. your videos contribute heavily to my motivation. i love them!
We going for you Hillary in your race next weekend 🙌👑 Edit: Hillary came 4th running a 59:41 and Jacob Kiplimo won the race setting a new world record by 1 second

Crazy pace on the reps, I'd be interested to see the pace of their recovery intervals too. It's cool to see runners this fast jog so easy like at 9:56.
excellent. nothing like running on mud tracks. the natural feel of the earth combined with those shoes is like you are flying. you dont need much cushion at all.
The rests were really short. Between the 400m between 10 and 15 seconds as planned. Between the 1000m efforts I think it was just over a minute. The coach mentioned they were resting for shorter than he would have liked

Yea seems like it. They compensate for it by wearing soft road racing shoes though! And it's probably still softer than pavement. Would wanna do intervals in spikes there :D
@@MrBigBoy4Life but look at 12:37 at the end of the 3rd 400m rep, it doens't seem to be cutted, they just walk for around 20-30s and then boom for another 62s 400m
Between 1000m efforts, around 1.5minutes. As much time as walking 200m to the start of the effort. For the 400m efforts, rest was betweeen 15 and 25 seconds

That better be 8:00 kilometer
😂😂😂con su respectiva inyección 💉💉💉
If I came to practice and coach said 10 seconds of recovery I would get in my car and drive home
10 seconds and recovery just don’t together. There is no recovery in 10 seconds
is this a joke i dont understand
😂😂😂. Yep spot on. I was thinking the same thing.
@@SheaSlides tell that to swimmers

I click on the video knowing what to expect. And I’m never disappointed
Never would I have imagined I'd spend my free time watching people run reps in training, yet here we are...

These videos are amazing. Thanks for putting pace and details on the screen. Great job as always. Love how humble the greatest runners on earth are.

These guys with a PACE like this...no chance for ´´normal´ people!FANTASTIC hope to see him in Lisbon.

2.43/km. Coach: "that was a bit slow" 😯
Coach: that was a bit too slow

Coach: how about you trust ME! Now gimme a bunch of 2:39’s…

Really nice to have the English translations.
Caleb (the junior at the end of the video) and I sat down, with a slab of chocolate, for a good half hour. I'll pass on your appreciation to him.

i only do 3×1 km its difficult but 10×400 is insane keep motivating us guys 👐👏
Insane workout paces 6 days out .... could feel the effort just watching. Guess that's what 59 min. half training looks like. 😥

Seems like quite a hard surface on that track.
Training under those conditions is what makes them unbeatable internationally.

i love how thet start the training casually running 1km in 2:43 and the first comment is "too slow"
Good job 👍
Marvelous
The two boys at 3:38 cracked me up
riiight? lmao
I love this video, I want to join them how do I get in touch with the Coach?
When they run slow, they run slooow,…..when they run fast, they run 🏃🏿♂️ fast 💨
Exactly
Super exciting
The guys filming them is literally getting a good work out too 😂
Nice camera work
Удивляет время восстановления, я обычно после 1 км востанавливаюсь метров 400, а они практически сразу след бегут

Want the recovery part too

Am I wrong or they weren't resting even 30s between those 400m?
Well, the video is edited. I was probably 30 secs if they had not edited the video for time considerations.
