The coolest part of the Breath of Thamur runic attack is that the hits are considered 'ranges hits', so it works awesome with range attack buffs and armor.
The mist of helheim and skadi’s edge are also considered "ranges hits" so it can combo also with buff and armor that increase range attack damage
I love your videos because everytime you explain something you do your best to keep it spoiler free, instead of pointing out what certain item you need from the story to unlock something you make it known it's part of the story without explicitly saying it, it's a small thing but it is greatly appreciated, keep it up with the great content!
Wish you guys would do a “future of the series” type discussion video. There’s so many branches they’ve set up with these games and I def think they will expand the series with characters and stories.
The future of the series is behind locked doors and there's no point in wasting time talking about rumours for the next 3 years or doing interviews with vague responces. But people out there are willing to do that, it's not pragmatic at all imo

(just speaking from a person who did the same for MCU then realised all the hours I watched and listened to never actually happened, so hopes and dreams were wasted hours, they made me get hyped up for disappointment, makes me realise those kind of people only do it for TH-cam money and doesn't benefit me at all, sorry to sound sour)

Arkham knight made me search for all of riddler’s trophies… now GOW is gonna make me search for all the ravens
Compared to arkham knight, destroying all ravens is much more easier
atleast it just takes one(or a couple at max) axe throws, riddler trophies took longer and some were even tricky to get

They took out my favorite runic attack for the blades of Chaos
I absolutely love how runics don't stunn by default and also leaving you completely open on any incoming attacks
You just have to use them correctly
@@mango7uice berserkers are still unfazed 90% of the time and will carry any attack no problem more other than not resulting in a game over because of an unblockable I couldn't dodge or a shield attack I couldn't interrupt cause my time runed out before the runic was over.
You should make a fun video about the locations of Tyr post game. He is hidden in all the realms.

They look great.
I loved the "Helios Flare" Light runic attack for the Blades Of Chaos because it was like those Street Fighter games where the have the "Hadouken" move which I think is a Street Fighter Reference in the game.

They should be, you have 3 weapons and they made old runic attacks normal moves(albeit nerfed)
I wish they would had kept the shield style of fighting in gowr along with a few blade attacks

i think there is a pattern for the blades of chaos the bigger the explosion the more powerful the runic damage
I literally beat the game, reached high percentages on the map completions (even 100% musplheim) yet I couldnt find another fucking light axe runic attack until recently. I kept that one you got from the first horse boss early on

Breath of Thamur melts Berzerkers bar down pretty quick.
I miss Strike of the Utgard/Thiazi’s Talon 😢 perfectly balanced moves that were great for close quarters and ranged enemies

For me it's
Leviathan axe light runic attack: wrath of the frost ancient
Leviathan axe heavy runic attack: breath of thamur
Blades of chaos light runic attack: cyclone of chaos
Blades of chaos heavy runic attack: Meteoric slam

For gow 4 you only need to complete muspleheim trials

I don't know if it's just me but I can't get the upgraded Hades of retribution to work on big bosses. It just sticks them once even if you have it fully upgraded

I just played/finished 2018 (4th time) after finishing GOWR, and it’s INSANE how nerfed runics are in this sequel. 2018 actually felt like the sequel with how refined and fun the combat is. GOWR changed things, and not in a good way imo.
so you literally want a combat system that rewards you for spamming attacks that require no skill. op runics made encounters and boss fights rinse and repeat hels touch and glaive storm. Sigrun was the worst example of this. This game allows you to rly develop ur sense of fighting style
You have three weapons in this game. Four runics were already broken in the last game, six of them with the same power would make anything a joke.
I do think the combat in 2018 was more refined and more fun….plus the menu system wasn’t a complete nonsensical joke. Just my opinion, but 2018 was a better game in many respects

Ragnarok actually feels closer to what God of war is relying on your actual combat skill and reflexes and gameplaning

Hmm I’m trying to find how a few TH-camrs used the axe consequently with hits. It was like they were pressing R1,R1, R1 without going into stance. Now seeing that’s not a runic attack I wonder how it’s done. Maybe a cancel or something.
