I really appreciate the effort you put in making in depth videos even for the smallest of things like the boost gauge installation

I legitimately bought the same turbosmart guage and the same cheapie pods because they were 3M and I didnt want to drill the dash on my GT Turbo. Thanks for such indepth guides, helped me install the guage. The wiring side is what I was scared of, even though it's just two wires Im still learning how to wire stuff up properly. Thanks again!

No worries, The wiring colours might be different on the ep82 GT turbo loom compared to the ep91 Starlet I show in the video. You just need to find a chassis ground and the illumination wire to a switch with a multi meter. Yes, the 3m tape would have been fine, the screws aren't really needed, but I prefer the extra safety also the metal base has many cuts in it to bend/form to the contour of the dash.

@@dan91sgarage I have a ground location similar to the one you chose in my GT and I already use power from the accessories to run a manual thermo fan switch of which I just stole the power from for the guage. I'll be using the same ground for my AEM wideband and selecting a different power source for that won't be running any of the other wires as they're not required for my car.

@@MrPwnagejames Cool Cool. Wideband gauges are an essential safety/tuning tool. I have a video showing the fitment of mine on the channel also.

@@dan91sgarage I've seen! I have the same AEM Gauge as that one. I've got the sensor in the dump pipe off the turbo and the wires run through the firewall, yet to plug it in and see if it turns on yet as I cant decide where to mount it yet.

I wish we got all the cool nuggets you guys get. I just installed a glowshift boost gauge in my 19 Civic coupe ex-t today. Super easy, now I see all that whopping 16.5 psi 😂.

Have you decided what vacuum line you're going tap? Brake booster seems to be the most common, would there be any issues with tapping the PCV line?

I'm going to fit a vacuum block / tube and use a feed from that. The n/a manifolds are lacking in vac ports. The main issue with using a functioning PCV line is that it carries oil vapour, which could find its way into the T'eed line.
