Bravo from down Under Australia mate. These things are a hoot - years ago you'd see the odd one after being imported and I had a drive of one. Me and my mates were just laughing in it, all the character it had. 100kw / 140hp or thereabouts, but its a great little thing and would bring so much fun every time you took it out.
Miss those little cars. So much fun to drive….looking back at my young crazy reckless days in the islands….at different times I owned these cars at different intervals in life….1972 mk1 ford escort, 1972 ford capri, 1990 Toyota celica all-trac rally, 1992 Toyota Levin S/Charged. Your video bring me back to the fun days…regret selling my ford escort though…. She was fully modified and lowered. Thank you for this video
Absolutely amazing restoration. So much detail in the work. The only thing that could have been done better are the headlight restoration. It is much easier to restore headlights, now with Headlight restoration kit from Auto Zone or even Walmart for under $20, those kits don't require any special tools, just your hands, and clear coat keeps those headlights like brand new for years. I have done it on couple of cars and those still look good after a year.
The best way to restore headlights is to sand off the faded surface and polish it back; exactly what he did. The kits from an auto parts store are just a bandaid fix. The oxidation layer needs to be removed.

Love from India........bhai ko......we need more people like you
Gotta say I love watching your process, and appreciated the simple methodology despite how thorough you are with the teardown and restoration. Honestly makes me want to learn more about vehicles in the hopes of being able to do some of my own maintenance some day, maybe.
Nicely done man. These cars were so popular in NZ when they first made the scene. So glad you've restored it tastefully and I'm amazed you didn't drag it out to 10 episodes lol.
Yeh buda. Wasn't it called a glanza. I might be finkin bout another car maybe 🍜
@@xroadwalker yeah man so this model was thr Starlet GT. Then the following model was the Glanza -atleast in NZ. Both pretty cool lol.. man good memories. 90s JDM was sick
i wish, i had as much skill like you. the knowledge, the skill to destroy and rebiuld the car, to know which part is broken and how to replace it..... wow. nice video editiing aswell.
Im late to watching your restorations. This is the third one ive seen now and i tell u what those 2 young boys of yours are gonna be top of there game if there even half as good as you. Im just in awe at how good you are at so many different aspects of repair and spraying. Well done a joy to watch. Great channel😊😊
10:54 - Damn thats smart to keep the dust settled. Love the vids man keep them coming
How does it help really?
@@xiaoyu88 Settles any dust from being kicked up and onto the fresh spray-paint!
Great to see you are getting some little helpers started early on mechanics.
This is a properly shot restoration video, restoration is also on point love how you tackled each problem and how you rotate between tasks
The paintwork is truly incredible! Great work
I love that you have started off your children on this satisfying hobby and, possibly, carreer at that early stage!
I have watched all of your videos from day 1 and I'm still excited to see a new one pop up :) Great work as always
When i saw 'restoration' I didn't know what to expect, especially with the level that it would be... But this is a CRAZY transformation mate... I had one of these (with the same light up rear GT badge) so this was a trip down memory lane for me, but incredible job. I hope you still have it and plan on doing so because these little treasures are so rare now, especially unmolested. Smashed it 🙏
Miss mine every day. ♥️
i remember these cars when i was a teenager. DIdn't know there were turbo versions of it. Where i grew up they were mostly 1.3L carburated manual trans with not enough power to run uphill in our city which was nested in a valley with steep hills on the sides. Nice resto.
Always wanted a Starlet. Such a great car. Well done on the restoration!
great job it is really amazing how you can restore these cars to the point of they just look brand new, im not a cars fan but your videos are so amazing that i started to like cars more and more, keep the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it
My first thought.. oh another half assed restoration video, but you Sir made it topnotch! Great video mate!
Awesome video! Just love these home garage restaurations of "normal" but a bit special cars that most of us could afford and you manage to cram it in in a single great video, kudos!
Seems like a great little car along with the Peugot 205gti, Honda Civix Crx, Renault 5 Gte and of course the original, the Golf Gti... I watch a lot of car youtubers and I wish more would do videos like these!
Hello.. don't miss the fun video buddy

Amazing restoration. Looks like a blast to drive.
You're a legend! Great work and hope to see many more of these restoration projects on your channel
The best car restoration channel on TH-cam!
New to the channel... bro, your mechanical ability is _through the roof!!_ Also the patience required for this type of project is just something I can't understand. Seriously amazing work! You have a new fan in me 🤘🤘
Que trabalho maravilhoso!!! Parabéns
Love all his builds they just come out so clean! Everyone! Would pay big bucks to have this guy do a restore for me
what's tittle backsound brother??
Yes! I definitely enjoyed the restoration process. Coz I miss my Starlet soleil 95 GT Turbo so much. Good Job indeed.
Love from pakistan watched your restoration without skipping
my first car back in 2003. same colour same everything. thanks for the video
Lindo trabajo👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼ese auto me gusta mucho tuve 3 la siguiente caja 2 1998 y una 1999 creo que fue la última versión que se hizo con ese motor muy muy divertido!!!
Love this format - short and to the point, well-considered details without becoming overly precious, just introduce, process, result - and a great result at that!
High school memories of a GT Starlet brought me here, nice video. Thank you :)
that free trap beat playing in the background at the start -assuming it was royalty free- was incredible. 10/10
