Dan I’ve become a Bergara shooter. I purchased a b14 .22 for competition 8 months ago. And a 6.5 BMP I’m happy with both. There quality rifles I have about 800 rounds on the.22 and about 80 rounds on the 6.5. The .22 I have groups 3/4” 1/2” multiple groupings. All day long I had a 20 shot group at 50 yards 5/8”. One hole I amazed myself. I’m not a great shooter I’m just learning. What a rifle. One of the owners of Element Optices saw my rifle ask if I liked it. And he bought one. I think it would be great if you reached out to him. That would be a great for you to meet him. The Element optics company has a great line of scopes. New company. He’s name is Shane with Element Optics. Thanks a lot Dan for quality rifles. And the service at Bergara Georgia is great. Thx Bryan.

Very nice. I think you should spend time on discussing the difference in the barrels and the stocks, if there are any. The barrel is the heart of the rifle and the stock is critical to the accuracy of the rifle.

Agree. Bergara marketing needs some help! Stop assuming people know the difference between a #5, #5.5 and #6 barrel. Also, no mention of differences in Triggers, bolt angle/throw, etc. Had I not seen a Bergara B14 on the shelf and felt the balance and trigger, Id be left with questions as I shop for a new rifle. I probably would have passed them up entirely...

I have the Wilderness Terrain in 6.5 CM. I know the Premier series is supposed to be a nicer rifle, but I would not trade my terrain for a premier series. The Wilderness Terrain is the best shooting rifle I have ever shot, and the finish is perfect on it. Everyone that has seen it was impressed by the quality of the rifle for the price. I have to admit I have many bolt action rifles some from WWI and have never experienced lite primer strike problems before I purchased my $1700 Bergara Ridgeback 300PRC you would think that these things would have been dealt with in the beginning long before the rifles were released to the public and to make matters worse I only put 40 rounds through this rifle and had tight chamber problems it even pulled a round apart when I tried too extract it because of a failure too fire so I send the Ridgeback back to Bergara and it returns to me a month later and I take it to the range and chamber issue is gone but I still have lite primer strikes unbelievable this is so bad for PR not to mention safety.

I have 2 bergara rifles, a hmr b14 in 6.5 and a b14 ridge in 7 rem mag both which i enjoy shooting. Ive found numerous videos on youtube about the bolt design which seems to break often. Mine havent yet, thankfully, but they are still virgin guns with less than 60 rounds on the 6.5 and less than 30 on the 7 rem mag. Im hoping whatever design flaws there were with the bolt have been ironed out and i dont run into any of those problems. That being said they shoot wonderfully.

If the larger ejection port is better, why not do that to both? Also why not include the floating bolt head? Savage has that on rifles in the $500 dollar range. It's a great design but it is not a huge cost add. Not trying to bash, just curious.
