I've been watching videos and videos on TH-cam about medium/long range shooting so much that I was thinking it might be hard to hit at 600 meters with my Ruger MPR in 223 with 77gr factory ammo. Fact is, first time I went to shoot at that distance, I'd hit 9 out of 10 times regular torso targets which are roughly 2 MOA at 600m. Let's lower our time on TH-cam and instead spend more time at the range. Sub MOA, Creedmoor this, PRC that... f that, let's just shoot. As a beginner, watching this video makes shooting at 600m look like a very difficult task while actually we are only watching someone either shooting with a badly set up rifle, or very bad at shooting guns. We are lucky to have access to very accurate and reliable guns and optics at affordable prices today!
Just bought a new bergara b14 HMR wilderness 6.5cm and went to a long range precision class in Peacemaker with it. I put a leupold mark 5 5x25 with a tremor 3 reticle and i have to say I was pleasantly surprised with just how good this bergara shot! there were alot of high end rifles in the class and the range went out to 1000 meter and she shot with the best of them! from my experience this rifle out of box shoots better than most people are actually able to perform themselves! glad i saved money on the rifle and went bigger with my glass!
I have the bergara b14 wilderness hmr 6.5 creedmoor and can easily go half moa at 400yrds. Of course I have a range in my back yard, so I shoot all the time.
Those are two great guns I have one in the wilderness series in 6.5 it's a tac driver. it's finicky on what ammunition it likes. I found my gun likes the match 147 grain bullets.
Excellent video guys. Been debating between these two particular rifles to start my long range learning. I’ve got a local 300 yard range to test at, and I’ve been leaning toward .308 just because i already have some and its a little bit cheaper and more common to find.
In my limited experience, those Bergara HMRs offer excellent value for money. Weather permitting, they make ringing steel at 1000 yards a lot easier. Lobbing .308s beyond 600 yards is more of a gamble than lasering 6.5 Creedmoor, though.
Match The 6.5 Creed To Other 6’s Like 6mm ARC Or 6mm GT. If People Are Going To Match Up Against .308 Then The 6.5 Creed Should Attempt The Other .30 Cals. .300 Win Mag? .300 PRC? .338 Lapua Mag? .300 Norma Mag? Cheytec .375? Even The .22 ARC Will Knock Out 1000 Yards & Some Change. 6.5 Creed Is An Incredible Round However More Videos Against Other Big .30 Cals. Would Be Interesting.
$1000.00 for a scope???, you have never heard of Arkin optics that's what I have on my B-14 hmr 300 win mag and it was 300 bucks, there best now with Japanese glass EP-5 7-35X56 Gen 2 FFP is $560.00
Thank goodness for your instant replay at 160m target. We are really pushing the limits of the .308 and 6.5CM.
😂😂

video
Half moa at 400 supposed to be better than half moa at 100? Lol
Yea 308 can do that all day too 👍🏼
Excellent video! Thank you
Great vid. I'd like to see how Grant did that paint job, it looks awesome.
The production value of this video is way higher than The rifleman skill by both shooters. 😂

Rule of thumb.
"Long Range" refers to 600yard and up
3:46 painted rifles increase flinch resistance by 25% especially for the heavy hitting six five 😎 cool video btw

Excellent video, I really want a b14 In 308 and this video has sold me
Nice paint job
What height rings on the B-14?
What rail do you have on the .308? I thought the HMRs only came with 2 swivel studs.
Keep at it fellows

Ever seen those AR-10s in 300 Winchester Magnum? That’d be a interesting precision rifle.
Biggest thing for me I want a round readily available that's 308 not 6.5

Move your windage to the right!!!!

Blueshirt is quite the asshole, is he from Massachusetts like me? 😂
Paint your gun if you want, miss the target if you aren't perfect like Blueshirt 😉
I get it. It's friendly banter 🤣
Does he ever shut up? 🤔
Good video 🤗
So overall, the good-looking younger guy seems to be the better person & better shooter, he wins the gold 🏆 🎉
Thank you guys, great video, even the humor 😅 I got myself a Bergara after an intense search 😊
