Am absolutely sold on Crossfit's approach to physical movement and nutritional programming for the pure and simple fact they have an army of monsters male and female, young and old as walking evidence of its efficiency. I have to say I don't do cross fit. I don't work out, but I lost 75 pounds eating a diet like the one that crossfit prescribes to it's athletes. This is the food that everyone should be eating, and it doesn't cost more than junk food because you won't be as hungry, and you won't eat as much because you'll actually be nourished.

I feel amazing. Meat, veggies, some fruit, some nuts and seeds, little legumes, starches like sweet potatoes, white potatoes won't kill you either. I still have gluten free oats and white rice at times. I just believe the idea is to not eat processed bullshit and reduce sugar and refined carb intake as much as possible. Just makes sense. So I guess I'm paleo but I mess with it a bit to make it less cult like and fit my needs.
I refused to give up the idea that eating heavy vegetable was the way to go. Kept my training the same and finally agreed to a two week Keto diet with a friend. I kept it for 8 weeks and lost 25.4 lbs and am at 13% body fat now. I eat plenty of dark green leafy vegetables and berries, but I'm a good 60-70% fats every day. I never believed this would work, but my BP improved, my cholesterol dropped, my triglycerides dropped...blood glucose dropped. I was always "healthy", but shit, now I am cut and muscular...and all I did was adopt a similar nutritional regime to this. No products, no pills, no gimmicks....so, I'm not selling anything. Give it 2 weeks and see if this is for you. I miss fruit and yogurt and oatmeal...but, those are special occasion foods now. Not part of my daily, weekly or even monthly nutrition. That's all....
If you train for marathons... You are supposed to have one energy gel every 45 minutes during long runs. Those gels are basically 100 calories (mostly sugar). Is that OK?
Reading through the comments, I'm SO GLAD that finally some people know the truth and are mentioning high carbs/high fruits instead of that much fat. Anyone who is currently following the advice from this video, please do yourself a favor and look into eating less fat and way more carbs. I eat 15 bananas a day, several potatoes/sweet potatoes, tons of vegetables, chick peas, a few organic eggs, and very little fat. So why do I still have a sixpack even though I'm eating that many bananas?
its also about sprouting and fermenting those nuts, seeds, and grains. doesn't matter how healthy you are eating if your body doesn't digest properly. i've had amazing healing with the GAPS diet. take a moment to google it... its worth your time.

I can respect that. My time in Navy EOD made me a bit of a stickler on functionality. I remember when MCRD San Diego tooled up to accommodate the new crossfit curriculum. My intention was to point out that most olympic coaches can't perform (or even look like they can perform) as their athletes. The same goes for professional sports. Look at NFL coaches. Ultimately, what matters is the number of their athletes that can whip the athletes of other trainers. Dog trainers are not dogs.
So, you probably think that other grains are fine, especially oats. But, of oats, is this really a problem with pasta, or just with bread or white bread?
i´m all confussed :S , so , its peanut butter good or bad ?? i take a moderate consumption of it , with natures own 7 grains bread, is that ok? just 2 slices of bread
Yes Rich Froning doesn't live by the Paleo lifestyle etc. But this is a Correlation Fallacy. Rich Froning is an individual who is a genetically superior athlete. He trains more than most any athlete I have ever seen and is in fantastic shape. However being 4 time crossfit champion does not mean that if you replicate his nutrition and workouts that you will attain his results. Personally I find that a "Near Paleo" eating habit works best for me. I am Native American and so for 1000's of years my people being from the east coast subsisted on fish and other lean meats and local roots, tubers, nuts, seeds and fruit. We did not start using grains until the 16th century. Studies have shown on several occasions that people of minority ethnicity should consume much less carbohydrates than someone of European or Asian descent(spelling?) I find that when I consume carbs even the high quality low glycemic etc. I feel terrible and I bloat and I am sluggish. When I am eating more fat and less carbs and eating more vegetables and proteins I have energy to spare. The biggest flaw with the Paleo lifestyle is that it puts pretty much everyone under an umbrella and says "ALL OF YOU EAT THE SAME THINGS" Obviously this is flawed thinking since individuals with different metabolic conditioning and varied ethnicities cannot all eat exactly the same way. Therefore we each must experiment with our nutrition and see what works for us. I think we can all agree that an eating habit that is low in processed sugar, high in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats in the proper ratio, High in lean proteins, A lot of veggies and some fruit, and some starch is a fairly healthy way to eat. This is a blueprint for the meal plan of a bodybuilder who is leaning out for competition..its no wonder these crossfitters are so ripped. But it isn't sustainable for people who are true endurance athletes like Tri-Athletes, Marathoners etc. These people consume tons of carbs and a lot of them are what would be considered "low quality"...especially when carb loading for a race. There is also a growing body of research that suggests that heart disease is linked more closely to being overweight than to moderate to high fat consumption. I have spent a lot of time over the last 12 years training people of various ethnic backgrounds, fitness levels, and experience levels and if there is one thing I have learned it is this; there is almost no one size fits all ideology that will apply to every single person. Some basics like exercise and eating healthy=better health kind of go without saying but other than that things can be customizable to the individual. So this video isn't entirely flawed from a nutritional standpoint but more from an empirical standpoint. The Paleo tends to believe they have the diet to fit all humans and it simply isn't true.
Papa Georgio It's all dependent on how many calories an athlete is capable of burning during training. But I would agree that eating small-moderate sized portions of nutrient dense foods would be completely insufficient for super-athletes like Froning.
Don't get them from a can but rinsing them out sure does help. Usually they say to stay away from legumes. Beans,Lentils,Peanuts. Instead eat veggies and nuts like almonds, macadamian nuts and if you want carbs sweet potatoes, white potatoes. Gluten free oats are good. Just make sure not to eat too much carbs and starches, It's about balance, but I would stay away from refined carbs, processed foods, sugars, vegetable oils, gluten, dairy.
hey guys I'm planning to begin crossfit but first I need to know the nutritional way before anything, I want to know what kind of meat is good to eat? For example I hear red meat is bad for you? Is this true?
First, fruit has sugar, so clearly sugar is allowed; not the refined sugar, but you knew that. You're just being difficult. Something else you probably already know, is that no matter what you eat, it will be broken down into glucose (basic sugar unit) and stored as glycogen, replenishing your burned out glycogen.
Fat loss is primarily about calorie deficit. Let's say that it takes 2500 calories per day to maintain your weight and you take in 2000 per day of carbs. You'll still lose 1lb a week. Now obviously you want a well rounded healthy diet where you consume junk food sparingly in moderation. But complex carbs are NOT the enemy. If you train like an athlete, they provide fuel for your body. Personally, I'm a fan of intermittent fasting.
We can trace grain consumption back farther than we can trace raspberry consumption by an order of magnitude. We very well know that many ultra-lean athletes eat starches to fuel their muscles for training and competition. You can show that refined salt sugar mixtures (Gatorade) during competition can actually help with performance. This is empirical science. Fasting can be very healthy, or just being a hungry can help.
I was diagnosed with GP. I am overweight. In 2003 I had a laparoscopic Nissen and ever since I cannot drink carbonated drinks and I can only drink with a straw. When I was a kid I have always had a very hard time being able to eat many different types of foods like many fruits and vegetables. My entire life if I was to eat a salad I would get sick the minute I put it in my mouth let alone if I was to get any of it down? For example, if I have a burger it could only have the bun meat and cheese and no spread of any kind. No mayo etc. If I was to have a tuna fish sandwich it could only be made with butter plane. I have been trying to lose weight but have been having a hard time doing so? I was just put on a medication called Metformin because I was told I was producing too much insulin and that was causing me to gain weight? I hate the food pyramid and even the my plate because they don't address issues like GP and other dietary issues? Because I am legally blind and use a power chair with limited mobility it's hard to read labels and count calories to be healthy and know what will help me lose weight and live healthier? I wish someone could make a video about this issue?
I wonder how ignorant people can be when they say that this is garbage, this is wrong with the fitness world, that a calorie is a calorie no matter where it comes from..... If you don`t know what we are suppossed to eat according to evolution, then please don`t make such desinformative comments. (sorry if I committed a writing mistake, english is not my nativa language)
Haters gonna hate..."We're changing the world. We're doing all the right things for all the RIGHT PEOPLE for all the right reasons. And it's a load of fun.” Greg Glassman
Well said. Their job is to help others get results. Sure, it'd give them a lot more credibility if they did practice what they preached, but their clients' results matter more.
I get atleast 60% of my caloric intake from Carbs ( complex carbs not junk food). I have about a 3000 Cal diet. Never had any health problems what so ever and am a very fit individual. So I'm going to have to call bs on these " nutritional gurus" some of whom look like they've never exercised in a day of their lives have to say.
I like the philosophy behind Paleo, so don't get me wrong... but there is one thing seriously wrong with it. Different human populations (races) have adapted to dairy to different degrees because of their differing evolutionary background. People of European heritage are mostly very well adapted to dairy, and therefore dairy is usually an excellent source of nutrients for them. Africans and Asians have not adapted to dairy as well, so they would generally be better off to avoid it. For those interested in this - research the rates of lactose (in)tolerance among various human populations. You'll find a very wide dispersion (from some populations being 90%+ lactose tolerant, to other populations being 90%+ lactose intolerant).
Sesbb30... There is 2 kinds of carbs.. Simple and complex. Good natural sugars are found in fruits and sweet potatoes which is the main source of healthy carbs. That should be it. Complex carbs are what you get when you look on the back of a skittles PAC and see 53 carbs... There's a huge difference in sugars.
well at least you didnt try to insult me for trying to speak some sense in to you , so if you wanna think that you go ahead mate. You have earned your right by staying patient amidst my rant about you.
"If its got a food label on it, its not food" Even he knows that didn't make sense. last time I checked healthy food had labels on them. So plain meat that has a label is not food??? lol
sugar free peanut butter is worse than peanut butter (which isnt bad) because they add artificial sugars to make it taste like regular peanut butter. most light/sugar free products are worse than the regular ones
There's a LOT of empirical data that confirms the fact that dietary fat is actually a higher efficiency endurance macro-nutrient than carbohydrates...especially simple 'fast-absorbing' carbs, like bread/pasta/rice/etc.
CrossFit® Sorry but you're wrong. High carb is the way to go. As many bananas as you want, just enough protein, and little fat. Carb the fuck up. Carbohydrates are what produce an anabolic effect. Protein and fat do not.
+CrossFit® Sugar a.k.a. glucose fuels the brain. Everything in proportion. Look at one of the best, quickest and cheapest meals, PBJ sandwich. Starches for longer duration energy, jam/preserves for energy needed immediately, peanut butter for fat as additional fuel either used or as in storage and to promote other bodily functions and protein for rebuilding the body, particularly muscles.
Saturated fat raises low density lipoproteins, thus increases risk of coronary heart disease (CHD). Carbohydrates (CHO) are our primary fuel. Glucose is stored in the liver for our brains and in glycogen for our muscles. Complex CHO does not raise blood cholesterol. It is important to avoid refined CHO. We need whole grains. Most people consume 3X the recommended amount of protein per day. Excess protein is converted to carbon skeletons, which are then stored as fat.
I can't tell if your comment was intended to rile up people like me, but if so, you win. So here goes: Your first statement has little to no scientific support. Dietary fats leading to increases in LDL concentration hasn't been shown in the literature--it's an old theory and it's on its way out. CHO, much like protein, when over - consumed is also stored as fat. Many people over consume protein, but this is far less detrimental than the overconsumption of carbohydrate in our culture.
Shiva Michael Best Can you please tell me the method of sole carbohydrate over consumption turning into adipose tissue? I suggest you go and read " Dr. Neal Barnard's Program for Reversing Diabetes ".
Victor J Sloan You are right it is not "old theory," it is very old theory. On your own advice check the 2015 Dietary Guidelines on cholesterol and ANDs proposed changes on dietary fat.
Have you started Crossfit yet? You should, if you haven't! It's great. Agreed, everyone has different body types and needs. People shouldn't be afraid of carbs, as long as they're the "good carbs" (i.e. - sweet potatos, veggies, etc). Same with fat (nuts). It's when they start to shovel shit into their mouths that's the issue (whole pizzas, cakes, vending machine crap).
I am involved with crossfit, but this video sounds like cult shit. Everyone knows that they shouldn't eat ice cream and Twinkies every day. Having discipline to eat right most of the time is the key to success and don't let anyone tell you that you are doing it wrong.
Having supreme discipline is what It's about in anything in life. Whether it comes to training, playing a sport, instrument at your job, at the university and so on. Usually many people suck at balancing. When they fall off they fall off fully and lose themselves. There are still many that know how to balance but that's not the majority unfortunately. I had a friend back when I was at the University of Michigan and he would party hardcore and be able to wake up go to class study for 7 hours and get A's. Me I wouldn't wake up on time and my grades would fall down so I had to stop partying days before school. It's like that with food with me to, If I slip up for 1-2 days I know what will happen.
Modern days, we should only trace back "grain" consumption to the high yielding hybrid dwarf wheat that was created in the 50s. The wheat consumed prior to the 50s has a different nutritional makeup.
This is where I dont agree with Paleo, Sweden have recognized LCHF (low carb high fat) at a national lvl...2.5million years of evolution. Cave men fed the lean meat to the dog and savored all the fat. Also how many cavemen had fruit 12 months a year...Its a start "fundamentally" but LCHF or Keto, is much more realistic.
I'm a dancer...who workouts out intensely on top of what i do as a career...so thats why i consume so many calories...but they're very clean nutritional calories :)
My problem with this diet is the huge amount of meat (as a European, it's way way too much...!) and too little fruits. They are right to suggest no added sugar, no processed stuff and more veggies...but beyond that it's just not for me. Also, the right kind of bread (whole grain with no added crap, baked in a bakery) is very healthy.
People, please be careful with this information...."what's causing heart diseases is not dietary fat intake, but excessive consumption of carbs!?" Are you kidding me? First of all a carb is not always a carb, there are differences. Please read Dr. Esselstyn's work (a heart surgeon) or read the China Study and find out what they have learned about high fat or high animal protein intake. What that guy is saying, is that frutarians or vegans (for example on a 80 10 10 diet / 80% carbs 10% fat 10% protein), which are some of the healthiest disease free people in the world, are more likely to get heart diseases than someone with a higher fat intake. That's just simply nuts...
Carter Fogelman Carter. You reminded me of something else. Everyone seems to want to prove their diet based on their performance. There is the "Frutarian" on youtube who claims his fitness for ultramarathons is due to is all fruit diet. There are others who are darn near carnivor claiming that their fitness proves their diet. It seems to me that the overall proof supports that humans are amazingly adaptive to whatever diet we consume and most people will live pretty well and pretty long even on a total crap diet. When I look at nutrition it seems clear that the two most important points are don't eat too much and stay active. Also, the question of diet is best understood in context of our goals. You want to be an endurance athlete then you'll need more carbs. You want to just stay fit and live healthy then eat a balanced diet that your personality can handle long term. You want to be a .... then other balances may be right for you. This is the take away I get when I read nutrition, especially my textbook on sports nutrition.
Americans consume way too much refined carbs, sugars, and extremely high fats and over eat. They don't buy organic anything, top that with antibiotics and hormones what do you expect? Why is it so hard? Meat, (Organic Beef GRASS FED LEAN CUTS) (Organic Chicken free range) (Organic Turkey) Fish (Wild Salmon). Carbs (Gluten free oats, sweet potatoes, white potatoes are good after workouts) Nuts and seeds limited. (Organic Fruits a few servings a day) Organic (Veggies) as much as you want. Stay away from legumes, high sugar, high carbs, dairy, gluten and GMO's. (Cook with coconut oil) not vegetable oils. If a person eats like this and works out than they will be in shape, look good, feel good. These paleo cults and vegan cults are so retarded. How ever I respect the Paleo diet more, but a person won't die if they eat gluten free oats or have some white rice. Many Americans are very stupid though, some of the dumbest people on the planet. They focus and praise sports, athletes and actors rather than education and health, idiots.
Barry Sears won the Nobel prize in medicine for his ground breaking research in drug delivery systems. What he discovered is that EVERYTHING that effects hormones (both pharmaceuticals and food fall into this category) falls into either a therapeutic or a toxic zone. What he has PROVED is that macronutrient content in food have either a therapeutic or a toxic hormonal effect (like drugs) and that there is a proper allocation of each that ensures that we stay in a therapeutic zone. Also, if you listen, or bother to look into it, what Greg said was that the zone starts with a macronutrient baseline of 40/30/30 and is adjusted based on activity level and current nutritional status--nothing like a fruitarian or vegetarian... As for vegans--though its not for everybody (certainly not me), read "Eat and Run" by Scott Jurek. Look also into the diet of Rarámuri or Tarahumara indians in Mexico... Type II diabetes is a direct result of our hormonal response (insulin) becoming desensitized to excess carbohydrates. In addition, whatever you take in beyond what is needed for support of cellular respiration, is converted and stored as fat. Why? Because lypolysis (fat breakdown) is a simpler and more efficient process for our bodies to carry out than glycolysis (breakdown of sugars). PROPER sources of fat and complex carbohydrates are a much better and longer lasting source of energy than simple sugars. Thus, cravings are lower and hormonal response is more stable. Eating simple carbs and poor sources of fat in improper proportions elicit a toxic hormonal response and cause us to crave more of the same because your bodies need it more often and assumes that it will only get more of the same. The Zone Diet isn't a fad, it's based in sound science which becomes obvious if you bother to educate yourself on how the body works. Like paleo, if you go through the work to implement it, it becomes a lifestyle. I've been doing it for 9, years, I'm 42 years old, and I'm in better shape, have more lean muscle mass, more energy, and I'm much stronger than I was at 25 or 30. It's so natural to me, I don't even think about it anymore, I just do it. All that said, studies in genetics and epigenetics are showing more and more why one standard does not apply to all. Some people are more predisposed to all manner of diseases (or not), no matter what their diet, but, at the same time (based on the study of epigenetics), the effects of environmental factors may have more to do with genetic expression than we once thought.
Thordur Hogna I did do my research. You aren't paying attention. My post doesn't mention Paleo--not once. I mentioned 'The Zone'. TWO DIFFERENT DIETS. Read Dr. Sears' book--there is PLENTY of science to back it up.
I just don't eat stupid :p Not eating McD's and not drinking soda goes a lot longer for health than some people think. Idk I'm training 6 hours a day (Fighter/ getting ready to leave for Navy) and I basically just make sure to eat so that I don't over exert myself. I can picture this diet for someone who only works out once a day for less than an hour and is expecting weight loss results.
That's the rule I needed. "If it has a food label, it's not food". Thank you!

Having fake bulking muscles does not mean healthy.just saying.
Shit, i just got inspired to start this after eating a gas station burrito.
Have been in love with Crossfit since 2007! Crossfit Oslo, Oslo, Norway
Probably the best nutritional video I've seen on the internet
The Quinoa I buy has a food label on it. Should I avoid it now?
He's saying to stay away from processed foods but is drinking a diet sprite 2:18 …. Don't get it
Brandon Zavala it's a beer
Just getting into CrossFit. I can't get enough, CrossFit PointBreak IS AWESOME!

What scientific base does Crossfit have in terms of suggesting correct dieting?
this is more of a motivational than an educational vid

how do you calculate how much you need specific to the individual ?
So, you probably think that other grains are fine, especially oats. But, of oats, is this really a problem with pasta, or just with bread or white bread?
i´m all confussed :S , so , its peanut butter good or bad ?? i take a moderate consumption of it , with natures own 7 grains bread, is that ok? just 2 slices of bread
Video is completely flawed. Rich Froning admits to not eating that healthy of a lifestyle. 4x crossfit champ....
Studies have shown on several occasions that people of minority ethnicity should consume much less carbohydrates than someone of European or Asian descent(spelling?)
I find that when I consume carbs even the high quality low glycemic etc.
7pastorb Yeah but your view requires nuance. Papa can't be bothered with all that.
Papa Georgio Rich is a either mutant or demigod :)
Yeah but rich work out 8-9 times at day ajajaj
Is dairy ok? I know it has sugar, but it comes from a cow, so how bad could it be?
The bald dude is drinking a Coor's Light during his discussion about nutrition...
Brett Rodriguez Coors light is just water anyways. Gross.
The "bald duke" is the founder and CEO of CrossFit.
but he doesn't train crossfit.
Something about carbs and something something.
Ben Midulla the founder and CEO of CrossFit is a moron who doesn’t believe in science.
I liked before i even watched💪. Anyone else?
Is that a diet soda next to glass?
what about canned beans like chickpeas and black beans
I usually rinse out the goop
Don't get them from a can but rinsing them out sure does help. Usually they say to stay away from legumes. Beans,Lentils,Peanuts. Instead eat veggies and nuts like almonds, macadamian nuts and if you want carbs sweet potatoes, white potatoes. Gluten free oats are good. Just make sure not to eat too much carbs and starches, It's about balance, but I would stay away from refined carbs, processed foods, sugars, vegetable oils, gluten, dairy.
Thank you!
Harpreet Singh
No problem don't be afraid of those carbs I stated either, as long as your a active person you can consume them.
Well worth the five minutes! Diet and nutrition are actually pretty simple, and they are a series of choices we make ever day.
hey guys I'm planning to begin crossfit but first I need to know the nutritional way before anything, I want to know what kind of meat is good to eat? For example I hear red meat is bad for you? Is this true?
The only hard thing about training is when ya love it so much; resting is hard and it takes time to see gains or records.
no sugar? ok so what about replenishing the burned out glycogen after an intense workout..?
First, fruit has sugar, so clearly sugar is allowed; not the refined sugar, but you knew that. You're just being difficult. Something else you probably already know, is that no matter what you eat, it will be broken down into glucose (basic sugar unit) and stored as glycogen, replenishing your burned out glycogen.
I don't think meat breaks down into glucose.
What's up with the diet coke can in the background of Greg?
I wish someone could make a video about this issue?
have you tried it? Dropped points on my BP and cholesterol after a year actually...
I wonder how ignorant people can be when they say that this is garbage, this is wrong with the fitness world, that a calorie is a calorie no matter where it comes from..... If you don`t know what we are suppossed to eat according to evolution, then please don`t make such desinformative comments. (sorry if I committed a writing mistake, english is not my nativa language)
the chicken breasts i eat have a food nutrition label on the packaging saying whats in it does this mean its not food?
Amazing!! Everyone should watch this!!
What if I have a Bodybuilding type of diet to gain muscle mass and do CrossFit then what will be the result?
Great video. This will really help me in the future.
As long as its only has peanuts on the label...you can get them without sugar, salt or anything else...sprouts and whole foods has them.
Haters gonna hate..."We're changing the world. We're doing all the right things for all the RIGHT PEOPLE for all the right reasons. And it's a load of fun.” Greg Glassman
Greg Glassman, beer belly and no muscle, at 2:22 lmfao at the processed meat, the auther of the zone diet again zero muscle, out of shape
You don't know that's processed meat. It could very likely be shaved at the butcher counter fresh every couple days.
well how come the example is eating lunch meat? it has a label!?
As a raw vegan , should I do crossfit?
Denisse Gonzalez no
sooo whats the meal plan
I love CrossFit!!! CrossFit DNA, Dyer, Indiana
"If its got a food label on it, its not food" Even he knows that didn't make sense. last time I checked healthy food had labels on them. So plain meat that has a label is not food??? lol
I think we know what he meant
sugar free peanut butter is worse than peanut butter (which isnt bad) because they add artificial sugars to make it taste like regular peanut butter. most light/sugar free products are worse than the regular ones
It comes down to knowing your body. There is no one ideal for everyone.
I want to see you finish a single wod.
This video should be revisited
The guy talking with a grey tshirt has a can of diet coke on his desk 😂
😂
why would having a paleo diet make you perform better at crossfit compared to other diets? i don't understand
There's a LOT of empirical data that confirms the fact that dietary fat is actually a higher efficiency endurance macro-nutrient than carbohydrates...especially simple 'fast-absorbing' carbs, like bread/pasta/rice/etc.
And why 'some fruit' and not 'a lot of fruit'?
***** Advanced glycation end-products (AGEs)
CrossFit® HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
+Edward Kotwica " Look at one of the best, quickest and cheapest meals, PBJ sandwich. " oh god -_-
Very well said. Thank you for sharing, and to the guy with the Q( No sugar?), DO YOUR HOMEWORK !!!!
Everyone should CrossFit ;)
Shiva Michael Best This is not an "old theory." I have a master's and bachelor's in nutrition. Read the Dietary Guidelines for Healthy Americans.
It's when they start to shovel shit into their mouths that's the issue (whole pizzas, cakes, vending machine crap).
quit eating sugar and bread.and drink only water. the end
Tank time food turn into sugar
So good!
Funny that most of the professional Athletes dont even nearly stick to these rules....
Modern days, we should only trace back "grain" consumption to the high yielding hybrid dwarf wheat that was created in the 50s. The wheat consumed prior to the 50s has a different nutritional makeup.
Dr Sears says to eat lean meat and then to add fat back onto your plate. Why not just eat fatty meats?
This is where I dont agree with Paleo, Sweden have recognized LCHF (low carb high fat) at a national lvl...2.5million years of evolution. Cave men fed the lean meat to the dog and savored all the fat. Also how many cavemen had fruit 12 months a year...Its a start "fundamentally" but LCHF or Keto, is much more realistic.
And then there's rich froning
I'm a dancer...who workouts out intensely on top of what i do as a career...so thats why i consume so many calories...but they're very clean nutritional calories :)
started crossfit on november 1st 2012 havent miss any W.O.D Started Daiet had to stop because food is too expensive in my country...
Good point....also, thanks for serving!
I know, right! The Inuit are just so unhealthy with all the fat and meat they eat.
And the possibility of that fact diminishes the weight of his assertions.... how?
Thank you!
It sure is a type of sugar, but fruit contains lots of vitamins that are necessary to maintain a healthy body.
I'm sorry but counting the carbs for a type one diabetic is very complicated to be honest carbs do turn into sugar one way or another.
No offense, if you can sustain that good for you! But I'm sticking with my flexible dieting. Because it works for me.
Add back squats and Olympic Lifting and your results will be great IMO
so quinoa and a bag of brown rice isn't food because they have labels with nutritional information?
