Have followed you for a long time, but this is the first TH-cam video I’ve ever seen. I think. you’re way cooler in this context than I ever would’ve thought.
I have been on an elimination diet for over 8 years, in the style of the Lions Diet, 90% of the year for health reasons because I have been chronically ill for 34 years, and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 14! Incurable disease.... It's the same with Crohn's disease, they must have been completely wrongly diagnosed, I don't know how weird such diagnoses come about in hospitals in the USA! Did you make the diagnosis yourself via Google? Because Crohn's disease is incurable, it's impossible that they can or could cure it with a warning, regardless of whether you're a carnivore or vegan! A friend of mine has this disease, no diet cures this chronic inflammatory disease of the digestive system! The vast majority of people with Crohn's disease have to undergo an operation sooner or later and have an external anus put in, which means they spend the rest of their lives passing their daily bowel movements into a bag that sits on their stomach and is connected! So either they have something completely different and have been given a weird diagnosis that is wrong. Here in Switzerland, the process of examinations, diagnoses and tests for Crohn's disease takes between 3-6 months with 1-3 weekly visits to specialists or hospitals for this disease until the disease is 100% diagnosed and then you are immediately prepared for the inevitable operation for this disease! So, Crohn's disease cannot possibly be cured with a warning! At most, you can alleviate certain problems such as pain and improve them, but you cannot cure them. Sorry, it's a fairy tale and a lie when people say that about themselves! Greetings 🙏🏼🇨🇭🤘🏼
Thank you Josh! Been waiting for lunch & look forward to Dinner! Been cooking my wife & I 1/4 LB of Bison & 3 sunny side up eggs with some fruit every morning. Appreciate you! #PAYHIM
I feel like I’m watching myself talk! Awesome to see and hear that one of the best athletes of all time has it dialed and leading his family and the community! Appreciate it! Awesome man! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Keeping food intake in its simplest form based on each own nutritional needs can be a road map for longevity. I believe you hit on the factors everyone should consider with their daily food consumption. Don't work out, eat less. Good stuff Josh.
Bro you’re looking absolutely jacked, absolutely love all your videos man. Could you do a bloodwork video to see how much this diet has benefited you?? Would really love to try to eat this way mainly because it will help with my autoimmune problems!
Much respect and love the video. Just curious on what type of cookware you use for the sweet potato (4:00) love how you went straight from microwave to oven. Super convenient
Josh, would you say your fat intake is higher then when you are in compete mode? What are your macro ratios and do you care? Thanks for all the content you put out!
Great video! Any suggestions for someone with genetically high cholesterol?? Been struggling to find high quality nutrient dense foods that don’t keep raising that.
Hey bro Just curious, if you train first thing in the morning you move the yam from lunch to the breakfast with the eggs and beef or the orange banana honey and berries enough curbs to replenish glycogen? Or you eat the yam( sweet potatoes) at lunch and dinner without connection to if you train or not?
Josh, instant pot your bones, 3 hours on high pressure cook, add whatever you want but i usually just do redmond salt and a couple teaspoons of ACV. I usually fill the water to the fill line and do 2 layers of beef knuckle bones and femur bones. You'll save a grip of money vs buying kettle and fire.
I love your meals but man! I’d really love to have that LaMarzocco coffee machine 😅 And by the way ... is not cold in Denver these days? Thanks for your content!!
We eat very similarly, but you consume more. I typically do 1/2lb with a sweet potato or rice and some blueberries. I haven't tried avocado on top of my meat, I will try that soon! Thanks, Josh!
I recently bought half a cow as well to have red meat on hand. Curious what you do with cuts like you and bottom rounds. Do you turn those int steaks as well?
Just did my sweet taters like you did in this. Holy shit! Game changer. Butter and a bit of salt and it tastes 10x better than any other I've done! Thanks buddy!!
This is almost exactly how I had to eat when I was dealing with Crohn’s. Beef and pureed carrots were the only things that wouldn’t send me to the bathroom and/or hospital.
I have seen a shift lately by individuals away from post workout protein shakes and more towards whole food meals post workout. What’s your take on this? Thanks.
You made a comment that ribeye is your favorite cut but you don’t eat it that much. Is that because it’s high fat? Expensive? Curious for how you choose which cuts you eat most often.
The big question… all the TH-camrs and podcasters rep athletic greens but out of the actual athletes I see on TH-cam. I never see any of them take athletic greens. Do you take athletic greens??
Its crazy to hear someone whos fit say they only eat red meat, when all of the science and nutritionists...doctors...etc all say to limit red meat or completely remove it and stick to fish and limited chicken, etc.
@@jimothybobinson8389 not sure what’s hilarious about that. You’re implying that you know all and since you haven’t heard that…it has to be ridiculous and far out there.
@@bantheshiftI just said I never heard it buddy, I didn’t claim anything but you did though. And I simply said I’ve never heard anyone say limit chicken, all I know is that it’s a source of lean protein with minimal fat. But hey if people smarter than me have deemed it unhealthy than I guess I just didn’t know lol
@@jimothybobinson8389 it surprised me when I heard it too. The Mediterranean diet which has been recommended a lot for health and longevity says no red meat and either no chicken or very very little. Not even eggs. And then if you look into what the general population eat in the "blue zones" they also stay clear of a lot of types of meat. They eat very little meat...red or other. When it comes down to it, I think focusing on what we eat really has a lot to do with our health goals in that moment in our live. One person who wants to be healthy but also perform athletically at a high level...their diet will look much different than someone who wants to be healthy and try to live to 100 with all of their cognitive ability at a high level. /shrug
Creatine is really good EXCEPT for people with high blood pressure. Low doses might not affect your Bp too much, especially if you normally have good BP. Also, if you're eating a lot of red meat, creatine supplements are not necessary. The statement varies for everybody so please monitor your health. When I asked 99% of my patients, what's your last blood pressure reading? None of them know it. Stay safe, stay strong, stay healthy.
I completely disagree about the creatine. I've tried different brands and formulations over the past thirty years and it always gives me weird side-effects!
Did your testosterone go back down when you stopped time-restricted eating? Cause you said it went WAY up (what was it, something like from 400s to 700s) when you were doing 16/8, so... what happened when you stopped??
Have followed you for a long time, but this is the first TH-cam video I’ve ever seen. I think. you’re way cooler in this context than I ever would’ve thought.
I’ve been eating animal based since January 2023. Completely healed the Crohn’s disease I was diagnosed with. Never felt better!

How passionate he got about the bacon on the counter… I felt that in my soul. Love it

Drop the kids off, work out, make lunch, a little work, then pick the kids up. What a life.
Think about the amount of work it took to create that life though.
@@jd76668 yes sir, you nailed it. Josh put in the work and still continues

Grew up eating 2 hamburger patties with cheese and brussels sprouts or steamed cauliflower and broccoli mix for lunch and dinner. Good stuff.
Haven't even finished the lunch video and I'm already awaiting the dinner video.
Josh looks stacked. When he says he weighs 168 blew my mind.
