- Wild camping at a Stone Circle during a winter snow storm. The temperature dropped well below freezing, but we stayed warm all night. It was the first time camping with my dog in the snow too - I think she enjoyed being all cosy in the tent and waking up to a winter wonderland! 😁

Hello Cat.. I love snow to. So nice to see a crisp snowy mountain top with the sun rising above. The colours are amazing and the views are to. So when you wake early and you have a brew on take a few and stand in the open. Allowing the Snow to fall around you then when a snow-flake lands on your cheek it is like being kissed by an Angel. This thought will stay with you for the rest of the day. Regards Mick... x

As I was walking across a bleak snowy moor. I saw a girl, just one, no more. She lived in a tent, in a circle round. It was freezing, with snow, laying all abound. Casting spells at something called Norman, making a brew, first one of the morning. Her dog, cross-legged for the first pee of the dawning. I hope her cold fingers, told her a warning. To take the tent down, before more snow dropped on her awning. Packed it away, and off she did go, to her car, and out of the snow.

Wonderful! The stormin Norman cone looks perfect 👍.after watching Bushman & Blue I needed a new pair of boots as the heel on my mammut’s started to come of super glued it and it’s ok for now.but got a pair of the Columbian Omni infinity boots Al was trying out with the gold dots inside to reflect the heat.so far excellent very light weight and waterproof even stood in a stream to clean them.not a drop of water got in 👍🏕.✊🙏❤️
I bought a pair of vivo barefoot boots earlier today, can't wait to try em out! 😁

Hello Kat.. Happy New Year.. I am unable to walk far now as my legs have given me a lot of pain. I am hoping to still do the walk and camp later in the year as i have said to you. I want to wake up early in the mornings just to see the sun-rise and the beautiful Snow topped mountains. I am looking at Fishing for GOSH later this year as a fund raiser. I am hoping to go to the Isle Of Wight and fish the bays only leaving when i have caught a fish. Warmer in the Summer to do this. But you have been the person i have most watched on here. Such a delight to watch and how well you explain how things work and where you are.Yes a few years ago i did the easy climb up to the top of Scarfel Pike and on reaching the top and seeing the awesome views and the wild-life around me. Today i rest and watch more of you on You-tube.. God bless you and the dog..... Regards Mick... X

It’s hard to get warm sometimes when you get wet and cold,at least you’ve got your girl to keep you warm and your heat pack warmers
I think I was just a bit careless. After foel Grach the week before I was like this is nothing so wasn't thinking bout staying warm so much and paid the price for a few mins, got warmed up quick enough tho! 😁

Hey Cat, can't beat a snow camp 🥰 loving Z tucked up snoring 🤣🥰 nice little peaceful spot there 👌 get yourself a pair of full leather walking boots, I 100% recommend them, waterproof, warm and hard-wearing 👌 looks like you needed to get in that sleeping bag with a hot chocolate 🍫🥰 that's where it's at 🤣 noodles looked lush too 🤤🤤🤤 to wake up to a full snow at camp has always been a dream of mine, especially at a hammock camp 😍😍😍 yeah the flextail pump is a game changer, loving the storming norman cone too 👌👍 but not as much as Z's PJ's 😍😍😍 great vid as always, looking forward to catching up with you on many camps this year, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁
Cheers Paul! I was really lucky to have such good conditions and snow! Glad I didn't go higher and get clagged, don't think I'd have enjoyed it so much, its lovely to look around you and see an unbroken carpet of snow on the hills 😁.

Love this video!! Camping in the snow is so cool (literally). I was on a metal detecting camping weekender in early March & it got down to -5……I loved every minute of it…..my mate, who was with me however, vowed never to camp again 😂😂😂 Xena was a star curled up in your duvet!! I truly take my hat off to you girl. One of our favourite tents is similar to yours. It's a vango cairngorm 3 person and fits 2 pads lol. Snug n warm tho.

I felt calm and energised after camping there, it has a lovely feel to it. My favourite is the circle on Froggatt Edge though, I feel drawn there. Happy New Year to you too! 😁

There's definitely something about them. Smashing video though, there's something great about getting space to yourself in the outdoors.

Love that stone circle, amazing views, there were signs about no dogs last time I went, a few years ago, about no dogs allowed is that seasonal do you know, to do with nesting birds I think, would love take my dogs up there to visit it again, great camp 🖒
I didn't see any signs about no dogs. The area is owned by the notorious moscar estate tho. They are grouse shooters and manage the land, very badly imo. There's no protected species up there as far as I know 👍
@@Wild.cat.adventures probably during nesting season then, it was the entrance after the lay by as I remember, there is a lot of bad management around at the moment😉
@@Traveler13 probably, or someone took it down. On Derwent edge opposite, also owned by moscar (the top of it, not the slope down to Derwent Reservoir) there's the typical dogs on leads signs
Like many others here, I'll add that I enjoyed your video. Great job! (And it doesn't hurt that I really like your dog. I also like the way the both of you (woman AND dog) come off in all your videos: you both seem genuine, even though I'm sure you edit a lot of the "bad stuff".)
The only bad stuff edited out is my swearing coz people complained that watch the vids with children 😂 what I love about wild camping is you can only be yourself, mother nature finds the fakers quickly 🤣

It's a lovely quiet spot up there 😊 no it was my scarp. I do have a Coleman, my first tent, can't fault em but I'd probably get the vango banshee or naturehike cloud peak for a good budget tent that'll do most conditions

Hi Rachel, yes, only time I've been frustrated with it was up on Foel Grach strong winds blowing snow and cold air in and under the tent. Fly doesn't quite meet the ground. I do however LOVE my tent. So versatile, light enough for multi day hikes, tough enough to take up on a mountain in winter, loads of room. If I had to make the same choice again would I get the scarp? Yes, all day long 😁👍

I hope you realise that most stone circles are scheduled under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979 as amended as it appears to the Secretary of State to be of national importance, and so should not be camped on or within the designated area around them?
