This week, I headed out to the woods with the tarp and got a lovely campfire going just as it started to rain. I actually had to leave shortly after this but I returned a couple of days later, straight after a 12 hour shift at work, where I setup in heavy rain at the bushcraft permanent shelter.... I admit I got a little loose on the old beers and wine there!
It was amazing to wake up to see the snow falling... I finally got this years English snow camp that I've being waiting for... barely. But I'm counting it.

Ah mate, just what I needed this week, had the funeral of my best friend of 34 years yesterday. Motor Neurone Disease, aged 51, just devastating. He loved the outdoors but never had the confidence to get out alone. Over the years I got him out in the mountains and bush crafting and the joy it brought was epic. This vid had really uplifted a s**t week!

I use a woodstove to heat my house in winter a lot, and I have to say, I've learned a LOT about fire building from watching these wild camp videos. I've also learned a lot about other things that I can use at home, especially in "survival" situations such as power outages no matter what the weather. Thanks for sharing all y our knowledge and adventure with us.

Another cracking vid there. Some interesting and helpful bits and bobs to , especially about having a fire in the pines . I always feel a bit dubious about it but what you said there makes sense. Great to see you out in the snow, all be it light and not around for long. Good tips on the fire, keeping the ground safe and a bigger pit.........came across a totel wreck of a fire near me recently with 2 wannabe wild campers trying to do a Ray Mears and failing on an epic scale. Still, try to talk to some younger people and they get gobby asap, rather than accept someone doesn't want them to burn the neighbours woodland down!
You should do a live stream whiles camping one night that would be awesome 👌, I know it would rince your battery but take a couple battery packs for it one time mate and we can see how you set up camp from start to finish whiles talking about what your doing 😁 now that would be awesome mate.

Surrey Hills, where I live, got to be really stealthy, even although there is lots of woodland, it's a very populous place, many dog walkers in the woods, no bears, but the occasional bare erse, people up to strange activities, makes for entertainment when camped out. Pizza pmsl, better than sandwiches from the nafi.

Film sound tip, if you record a little longer than you need, you can often edit a little bit of sound from earlier or later and replace the part when a jet flies over, you might even be able to get some of the crackling noise too from when you lit the fire, no one would know or mind even if they could tell.
Not that it mattered to me in this case.

Great vid as per love the snow coming down and a great tip for the the tumble dryer fibers i have used this tip but i found it burnt to quick so i tried with stuffing a toilet roll tube so i last longer even for windy days but great shout out love the fire pit idea as normally take a twig stove or my portable fire pit
Top lad Craig, doesn't need to be sunny to be out and about. Remember the Great Heathen Army (vikings) overwintered just out side your home town a few years ago, maybe they left a few spirits behind to come and stare at you.
I so needed the nights to get lighter it’s taken me out of the winter blues.

18:05 Buddha's Blessing by Satya smells just like some parts of the forests here in Oregon. Cedar or something in it ? not sure, but burning it when the weather is too bad to get out reminds ya and sort of brings you back. Karma is another "High Vibe" scent from Satya as well. Canada is one of a few places I would love to camp, but Alaska in deep winter really appeals too. Outdoor boys Luke really inspires me to go there one day. I’ve got family in Australia and in the next couple of years I plan on going and them showing me where good camps are
Batus was a good exercise in Canada. We broke into the cookhouse after a night out. The CSM said that the bears are clever because they cooked the steaks and washed up afterwards
