For small DIY weldings, blow torch is enough to shielding gas. No matter where CO2 come from. When use gasless welder with gas wire, polarity must change.

My Miller cuts off the gas if no arc. I will look for a purge line. I cracked the hose line but it was too high when I was welding.
What miller do you have. Are you looking to run a purge line also?
@@JeepingMo I have a Millermatic Passport Plus. I have set the gas by filming it before but as soon as I pull the trigger and no arc detected the ball doesn't even settle before it cuts off. Today I cracked the hose but when I welded the ball peaked at full. I am not running a purge line.
@@omahanb1 i would check your ground. You also could try turning up your gas.
