what would be a good welder to start with for something like this i have very little prior practice welding with a mig on an old dump truck but no other experience
@@mc_midocondria8807 if you want to weld with Flux core, that yes welder or one from harbor freight would be good. If you can buy some C25 gas and use hard wire both of them make one that will take gas. I have not done the evaluation yet, but i have a yes welder here that also does pulse welding. That lets you weld or thicker materials with less power. Even that yes Welder is only $100. It’ll get you started till you figure out for sure what you want to do.
Ty for the info My bro
Can you tell me which track bar you have and does touch thd sector shaft brace

Sport calipers work with the rubicon axle ?
@@alexiscoronado2730 i doubt it. The brake lines were different.
@@JeepingMo got the part number for the brake lines you got
@ these are the front lines from Northridge. www.northridge4x4.com/part/brake-lines/600132-evo-manufacturing-front-brakeline-pair-2-5in-lift
Isn’t it a lift tig meaning you don’t have to strike it? You just touch your metal your welding and lift to start the arc right ?
It might. Just how i was trained
I'm a retired pipe welder that specializes in tig welding. In my entire career working shutdowns I never used a cup that big to weld anything. The biggest cup I used was either a 8 or 10 and it had more to do with walking the cup making capping the weld dime wide nickel high easier than argon coverage. Most of my experience was in the field where there was no luxury of a foot pedal or high frequency start it was all strike start. And still managed 100% x-ray welds on carbon, stainless and hastelloy only had little experience with titanium. Now if I'm fabricating pipe in the shop darn right I'm using a foot pedal. I know you are welding tubing so there is a difference there but it still cracks me up when I hear man I wish I had a foot pedal 😅
@ you have far more experience than me. Thanks for viewing.

How did you only use the glass cleaner to get it in the lower groove and get it seated in … I have just worked on this for 6 hours and only got it to start going into the groove but no matter how much glass cleaner foam spray or hand slaps I couldn’t get the windshield to sit down in the lower groove enough to start the top …
@@KennethC-x8n you need yo start with the bottom, that tool with the ball at the end is the key. When you have the sealer on it, its a huge pain
@ so I did like u and removed the sealer and reapplied it and … I can’t get the window to go into the seal I can get it started but that’s it … going to try dawn dish soap and a small amount of water but literally I’m wishing I would have just paid someone cause I’m using the ball tool and pushing from the inside and I can get the window to start going into the groove but that’s it it just starts lol so tempted to putting a tie down over the top of the window and start applying force till it breaks or slide in the groove lol .. like compared it to the old windshield and it’s a hair bit smaller that the original width wise … great video tho
@ thank you, do you have someone inside to help with the seal
@ welp just broke a brand new windshield ? lol time to pay someone to do it
This will work perfectly for that pesky evap sensor on older Ford fusion if you don't want to rip the whole dash off. I ripped the tab because the sensor wouldn't budge, it fits a 12mm 6 hex perfectly, just needed something that'll fit with the wire still connected.

@ what wire size are you using, and what were your speed and voltage settings. I would be using .026 wire and a slow speed maybe around 180 and a low voltage. Each machine will be different. Was that with gas or flux.
Did you get the die from a different company and if so where at?

I've been lucky. I have 152k miles my 2014 Wrangler Polar edition (2 door) running 33s. Never had an issue other than battery replacement (normal thing). I change the oil with synthetics every 4k miles, I never use ethanol and I do the scheduled services on the transfer case, differentials and cooling system. I just use this as my daily and occasional dirt road travel. I think what eats a Jeep's life up is the heavy mods. If you are running 37s or 40s, then adding other weight with mods, it is essentially taking a stock jeep and pulling a small boat with it, then heavy off-roading takes its toll. Of coarse the mods is what makes them fun for people.

@@jacobmayo6701 i I have not used any other welders, but most places are making really decent equipment nowadays. May I get all the bells and whistles but that’s not always a bad thing. You’re running C 25 gas? For exhaust you don’t need much more than a 110 welder anyway. Unless you’re wanting to run stainless and do all the back purging then that’s a whole different animal..
