Working in the wild forest in the fresh air, there is always a brutal appetite and today I cooked the best, in my opinion, the first dish - Ukrainian borscht with beef. The recipe is very simple.

Watching you I can get away from it all; at least in my mind and picture a calm retreat. Stay well; praying for you. This is a relaxing video. Simple tasks and quiet music make it so. The white coating for your stove will also reflect light well in the winter. Your home is hiding more and more in its surroundings!
Also, you need 100% airtight food storage. Surplus ammo cans with intact original gaskets (not cracked) are usually affordable and can be overpainted on the outside to discourage rust. (and make them look less like ammo cans...) Otherwise, anything you put in your cold storage stash will draw wildlife of one sort or another. I had to look up whether there are bears in your area... ;D

So glad you were able to get out and spend some time at the dugout. Meal looked delicious! Store your perishables in glass jars or metal tins. Only thing I haven’t seen mice get into yet. You’ll have to stock up on firewood before the snow comes. The stove looks great,👍🏻👍🏻

To help drive out mice you can use Irish Spring bar soap and fabric softener sheets you use in clothes dryer.

I wish you had listed what items you use to prevent mice from entering your wonderful hideaway. I live way over here in the USA in a very old house. Each year at this time here they come marching in 🐭. Such a battle. Would love to know what you used. Always a pleasure to watch your channel.

The best Borsch is made with bone broth. Boil beef or chicken bones for 2 hours, then the meat is added. I suppose you could boil it with the meat if you want the meat to have "fall off the bone" tenderness, but you won't get the same flavor as when the meat is added after the broth is cooked.
