It was a long and hard way here, but we still got there. Nice house, we liked everything. LEO. January 28th. It was a memorable event in our life, 4 hours in the snowdrifts, but we still found your cozy home. The oven is very warm, it warms our hearts and feet as much as 32 degrees on the thermometer. Maybe someone can make a wheelchair accessible trail and cabin for people like you and others. Although I can still walk, I can’t walk very far. I have a wheelchair for times when we know there will be walking a lot. We love the mountains of Georgia where my hubby and I rent a cabin every year or two. I've been watching your channel for a long time. This cabin has turned out just lovely , and the sauna is quite clever. Eucalyptus leaves and all. Its especially nice if you have been out in the cold all day, you can get cleaned up and warm, before eating and sleep. I really think you have done such good job. And lastly, the other thing I enjoy, is watching you cook. You cook "from scratch" , homemade healthy meals, but also looks very tasty. I like how you pan fried , what looks like dark rye bread. What I would probably call croutons. I'm going to make it your way. It looked delicious. There are so many of us from all around the world that love to peak in to this little window of your life, you inspire so many, to want to have something similar, and have taught so many how to do so. Personally, I would find it in disturbing that someone had invaded my private space. But I am grateful your cozy shelter was there to help someone who needed rest and a warmup. Thankfully they showed respect . Watching your videos is very relaxing. Thank you for bringing us along.
I take it these are cabins along a hiking area , I know of many people here and around the world that hike and stay in small cabins built by others along routes for shelter for themselves to keep going to buy for others as well to share.. is this the case with your cabins or are people just happening upon them and taking it upon themselves to use it ?

The bucket of snow serves a dual purpose not only for hot water but also works as a humidifier in the dry cabin with the fireplace burning. i never miss a video of yours and i share them all on my other sites. God bless you!
That sauna of yours is not exactly what a finn would expect, but exellent option when you dont have lots of water available . Thumbs up :) We call that bundle of birch twigs both "vasta" or "vihta". Both can be also called "saunavasta/vihta"

My thoughts exactly as I saw him eating their gift of chocolate. Is it just me? I find it not appropriate to just enter someones home uninvited. They came bearing gifts for him so obviously they had planned on finding his cabin. In this case they were decent people and Alex was very fortunate but next time he may not be so lucky. What would happen if there was someone in your house/ dugout when you arrived and didn’t want to leave. This is the first home l saw you build and it’s still my favourite you spend so much time build this on then added on the sauna l really enjoy seeing you at this place.
Alex, I can never actually visit your shelters. Even so, I have visited with you since the building was started on THIS shelter. So, like many of us, I leave a note for you here. Thanks for bringing me (us) along with you. Some thing I don't understand, maybe it is cultural difference, why you don't have a fire laid (ready and waiting) to lite upon arrival, instead of going through a lot of work first. I would really enjoy having a similar shelter, some where hidden away, and go there and rest and sleep, a whole lot. I would want to live THERE, only coming out for supplies. I often dream of such a place, sometimes similar to your newer shelter. ;-)
If i could come along, i would bring a gift. Your dougout ist the most comfortable and maybe the efficient one i know, because its 3/4 in the earth. Maybe we’ll see a third room this year ? Right, left, under, above the beeing strukture ?

What would happen if there was someone in your house/ dugout when you arrived and didn’t want to leave. This is the first home l saw you build and it’s still my favourite you spend so much time build this on then added on the sauna l really enjoy seeing you at this place.

Alex, I can never actually visit your shelters. Even so, I have visited with you since the building was started on THIS shelter. So, like many of us, I leave a note for you here. Thanks for bringing me (us) along with you.
Some thing I don't understand, maybe it is cultural difference, why you don't have a fire laid (ready and waiting) to lite upon arrival, instead of going through a lot of work first.
I would really enjoy having a similar shelter, some where hidden away, and go there and rest and sleep, a whole lot. I would want to live THERE, only coming out for supplies. I often dream of such a place, sometimes similar to your newer shelter. ;-)
