Been seeing a lot of content for Quar lately and got so curious that i ordered the box. Thanks for a good gameplay intro!
It’s a silly and enjoyable game
Been watching a few Quar videos over the past few days and been thinking of getting the starter and maybe the two officer boxes on Wargaming Atlantic’s site, and boom, im convinced after seeing them on the field.
Probably gonna get it for game night with the fam.
Great video mate!
It’s a fun little game and seems to have great family appeal
@@CryHavocWarGamingoh certainly. Seems the rest of my family is equally into the “my dudes” aspect of miniature games, and quar seems to definitely favor making little stories with your lil army dudes. So itll be neat to paint with them and then play them.
I went ahead and got the starter box, as well as the metal partisan army so that the three of us can each pant an army.
So itll be some fun!
@@jamzee_ In our club there is far more significant other participation in this than any other game we play.
So I'm curious about two things and i am not sure where to find the answers. I got the starter set, read the "rhyfler's pocket book" and there seems to be something weird going on with the activation cards;
1) you have 10 cards total - 3 5s, 4 4s and 3 3s. If you remove one at the beginning of each turn, then does one of the players have one fewer card drawn during the turn? Removing one leaves us with 9. Or do I draw the removed one after i'm done with the deck and each player gets 5 cards?
2) i would imagine the priority before first turn can be decided by a die roll, but i am not clear on what happens after that, since the rulebook has no clear turn sequence explained. Do i roll for priority before each turn? Or do i just alternate with my opponent? Or do we just alternate drawing cards normally, as in: if i drew the last card on turn 1, then my opponent draws the first card on turn 2? It doesn't really solve the problem with the cards since with an odd number of turns one player always draws one card fewer
Thanks for the report; it really helped me to understand the basic rules and concepts. Also, and this is a bit pedantic and you’re not the only one to say it that way, but it is “Cof- tyran” not “Crof-tyan”.
Quar!
Exactly!
How tall a the minis?
Just measured on at 25mm ground to eyes or 28mm to the top of figure. As they tend to be hunched over their heads are surprisingly low.
@@CryHavocWarGaming thanks just wanted to sculpt my own
I came here to fight for coftyr
Where are the tanks
They are coming. STLs are already here, printed versions should be available we are told this month!
Thank god Ron you've finally looked at something, a genre mayhap, I despise. Anthropomorphism. Be it aardvark or Runequest duck. Nobody as far as I know entirely takes aardvarks seriously in the real, I use the word loosely, world. Not even aardvark themselves.
It isn’t exactly anthropomorphism . The aren’t actually aardvarks! I too hated the Runequest duck. Also, no one takes Quar seriously!
@@CryHavocWarGaming So essentially it's even worse than I thought. They're actually only pretending to be aardvarks That's the worst case of someone with problems of self esteem I've ever come across. I'm in hysterics here. Quar vadis as the Vulgate almost would have it. I don't normally attempt poor puns in Latin before eight in the morning. It upsets the wife. With best wishes as always.
@@CryHavocWarGaming So finally Ron if I have got it right we play wannabe aardvarks. A difficult job. Aardvark if you can get it.
Awesome thanks for the demo! Thanks for showing off this awesome game and model range. You Clarified some rules I got wrong my first game. think the other guys didn’t let units that had been used to combine fire to use a combat action, which is accurate. But I don’t know if return fire is a combat action as it’s a reaction.
@@Oneen00325 I agree fully
