We went out to visit some of our friends in Ohio and while there, we decided to go to cedar point. But we didn’t get any video because we were too busy trying to ride all the rides lol .. thank you for posting this video dude! Brings back so many good memories

I remember that as well. Was always the first one to get in line for since the queue was insanely long when it first came out. The ride was worth it and it wasn't that rough for me.

The closed down Astroworld in Houston years ago, we have nothing 4th largest city in the US. We have to go to San Antonio or Dallas for a park. And neither compare to Ohio's parks.
Both have their own very unique appeal... Did you go to Kings Island back in the day when they had the hanna barbera characters walking around? LOL... The last time I was at Kings Island it was the beasts first year that's how long ago it was
Went in 2013 for the Halloweekends festival, & it was hands down the best amusement park my hubby & I had ever been to! Worth the drive from the bottom SE corner of TN! We stayed in the oldest hotel there to add to the “haunted experience”, & the way it was decorated for Halloween, & how old it was, made the entire weekend that much better! Loved all the decor everywhere & all the different haunted houses there were throughout the park! It’s a must do at some point on anyone’s list no matter where you live! It’s worth the trip! Wish I could afford it every year.
Back in '89 when this coaster was built, this was THE coaster that broke all the records. People from all over the world, literally, would visit the park just to say they rode it. Now there's probably 50+ coasters that are higher and faster. But it's still a park favorite and a great ride.
I remember when the blue streak was the bomb in the 70s. Now a comfort ride compared to the others. 40 years later and a heart condition, my coaster riding days are over. But the videos brought back great memories. Thnks for putting this up

You are definitely not the only one. I always liked that feeling when I went to Cedar Point and rode the coasters. I'm a retired roller coaster rider (due to being too tall to ride any of them) who misses Cedar Point dearly.

I disliked Magnum because it was PAINFUL. The lap bar hurt my lap area pretty bad while riding. The best part of the ride was laughing at the kid next to me scream OW as the ride continuously crushed his junk 😂
Raptor deserves the number 1 spot! It had the very atmosphere of perfection. The length, the very color of it, the ferocity, the sheer power of it...wow! Amazing!!!!!
It's not very tall or fast, but it is a perfect coaster if you think they should leave you a bit disoriented when you disembark. 6 inversions is *still* world-class, and over 2 minutes is a long coaster!

Alright, I get that these are your opinions, but I feel like you need to understand something. When you go over hills, your bottom comes out of your seat. That's called airtime. It's what coaster enthusiasts love about roller coasters. It's the best part. And on Blue Streak, When you go over its hills, you get some pretty good airtime. Seriously, you come out of your seat when you go over the hills. In my opinion, Blue Streak is a top 10 roller coaster at Cedar Point because it has good airtime. It is a crime to put the two kiddie coasters over the great classic airtime-filled out-and-back wooden coaster. Coasters like Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, Mean Streak, and Rougarou, etc. have basically no airtime and should be a bit lower on this list. Also, Maverick should definitely be much higher. Coaster enthusiasts call it one of the best roller coasters in the world, and there are over 4,000 roller coasters. Maverick just provides a lot of intensity, airtime, and a great launch that coasters like Gatekeeper and Valravn just don't provide. Next time you go to Cedar Point, you should think about "airtime" when you go over a hill on Blue Streak and you might just realize its a better coaster. I'm not denying that Blue Streak isn't rough, just its a much better ride than, say, Wilderness Run.

I personally don't think there needs to be massive airtime to have a good ride. I really like the b&m's at the park, because I like loops and inversions. Roller coasters are a matter of opinion, and I don't think you understand that.
I personally think that on October 13th, 2016, I was still a brainless blooming coaster enthusiast who hadn't a clue what made a good ride. At the time of writing this, I understand there are many factors that go into what make a good ride, airtime still being one of them. I mentioned in the above comment that awesome things such as launches and intensity can play a pretty big role in people's opinions on what makes a better ride. Different opinions are often the same opinions on different things - how much people value each factor.

Jake Oleske it is but you might get a bad experience on it. My first time riding it my head kept bonking back and forth and I hated it. Once they replaced the head pieces in 2015 it is much better they might have rode it before then

I agree 100%!!! Those were the rides I kept choosing to go back to! Have you ever rode them at night? TERRIFYING-especially Millennium Force. If you ride in the left side of the car, you’ll be over a lake so at night it looks like a black abyss. And I felt like if I made one wrong move I was going to fall out of the ride. I don’t think I’ve ever felt like that before

glad to see the mine ride get some appreciation. its not the best thing ever, but the one time i went to CP with my grandparents, the only coaster my grandpa would go on was this one. we went several times bcse the line was so short! im fond of it bcse its a fun family coaster that i didnt have to ride alone.
The opposite of this was a coaster they used to have at Six Flags Over Georgia. It was some Wyle E. Coyote coaster. It wrapped around this little building twice. The ride lasted about a minute and the line lasted about an hour. Boringest coaster ride ever, and that includes all the kiddie coasters I ever rode on. Such a waste of time.
Dude, I was just at Cedar point on the tenth. Heres some advice, if you don't go on any of the more popular rides, you'll regret it. Also they're popular for a reason. But here's my recommendation for rides, the best 5 rides there (I went on all of them, except for the top thrill dragster since it was closed all day for some unknown reason, with fast lane plus so trust me, when I say these are good rides, I mean it.) Are the Maverick, Gatekeeper, Millennium Force, Steel Vengeance, and Raptor.
Caden Guesman Tysm yesterday I went on the gatekeeper as my first ride! I loved it! I also went on the magnum xl 200 as my first big drop coaster. Today is day two and I plan on going on the millennium force, raptor, rogarou, steel vengeance and maverick. On day three I want to go on any other coasters maybe the dragster or so.
Caden Guesman I just went on the millennium and stuff. I’m waking up right away and heading straight on the steel vengeance, then the valravn, the dragster than the maverick (if it’s open as it hasn’t been for the past few days!,). Melenium force was unreal with just the small strap over your legs!
Mean streak also has the loudest/most unique “scream”(for lack of a better term) off ride. I always remember listening to that all night when staying on property
Awesome video.. CP is my closest park(2 hour drive)but I consider myself lucky. Best park in the world. I'm 37 but feel like a kid every time I'm there. Can't wait for summer 2019!!! Have yet to ride Steel Vengeance.
Y'all need to stop complaining about screamers, b/c most of us are actually using a method. When you scream on the initial drop or a fast increase in speed, it helps to stop the "I-left-my-stomach-at-the-top-of-the-hill" feeling. I personally try to scream as little as possible, but Magnum and Millennium will take quite a few out of me. My question to the complainers is this: would you rather have screams or barf?

I have not been to Cedar Point since the 90s. The Raptor was the first inverted coaster I ever rode. It was brand new then. My favorite by far though was the Magnum. It remains one of the best coasters I ever rode. There may be others built after my visit, but at the time it was like nothing I'd ever ridden.

Each to their own and it's nigh on 20 years since I was last at CP but my favourite by a mile was always Magnum. Next best was the massively underrated Gemini. Raptor was okay, the stand-up, Mantis, was rubbish, Mean Streak was soooo lame compared to how it looked, and I have to admit I had a guilty liking for Disaster Transport. I greyed out on Millennium Force, not pleasant and no airtime anyway.. Apart from the wonderful Magnum, just give me simple wood like Blue Streak and all that Blackpool offers.
Depends on what you like on coasters, and CP has a little something for everyone! Raptor is my favorite since I like all the inversions (I want to get off and not be sure I'm upright!), but it's not for everyone. Mantis was always rubbish, just a novelty and uncomfortable!
Hi I am going to cedar point very soon and I am wondering what ride would be good to go on first because the rides I have been on are the Corkscrew, Ironn Dragon, Gemini, that one Water ride with one drop that splashes you at the end, and the Blue Streak , and I am very scared to try new ones and what ride do you recommend for me to go on next that isn’t to intense or terrifying because I want to enjoy more rides to go on with my friends and family (thank you so much for reading this and please comment down below the ride you recommend for me to go on because I am very nervous and please like this comment so this will be at the top I need all the help I can get!) thanks again!

Last time I was at Cedar Point, Rougarou was still called Mantis, and it was a stand-up coaster with these REALLY uncomfortable bicycle-style seats that constantly felt like they were grabbing you by the...um nevermind.

I only rode this ride once when I made the video. After riding it a few more times I agree its way higher than I put it. My first ride was a bad one.

Jake Oleske it is but you might get a bad experience on it. My first time riding it my head kept bonking back and forth and I hated it. Once they replaced the head pieces in 2015 it is much better they might have rode it before then

I agree 100%!!! Those were the rides I kept choosing to go back to! Have you ever rode them at night? TERRIFYING-especially Millennium Force. If you ride in the left side of the car, you’ll be over a lake so at night it looks like a black abyss. And I felt like if I made one wrong move I was going to fall out of the ride. I don’t think I’ve ever felt like that before

What is it with people disliking blue streak?!? Ride in second row of any car, and it’s filled with airtime, while being enjoyable! Same goes with Magnum, and Gemini!

glad to see the mine ride get some appreciation. its not the best thing ever, but the one time i went to CP with my grandparents, the only coaster my grandpa would go on was this one. we went several times bcse the line was so short! im fond of it bcse its a fun family coaster that i didnt have to ride alone.
The opposite of this was a coaster they used to have at Six Flags Over Georgia.
It was some Wyle E. Coyote coaster. It wrapped around this little building twice. The ride lasted about a minute and the line lasted about an hour. Boringest coaster ride ever, and that includes all the kiddie coasters I ever rode on. Such a waste of time.

Dude, I was just at Cedar point on the tenth. Heres some advice, if you don't go on any of the more popular rides, you'll regret it. Also they're popular for a reason. But here's my recommendation for rides, the best 5 rides there (I went on all of them, except for the top thrill dragster since it was closed all day for some unknown reason, with fast lane plus so trust me, when I say these are good rides, I mean it.) Are the Maverick, Gatekeeper, Millennium Force, Steel Vengeance, and Raptor.
Caden Guesman Tysm yesterday I went on the gatekeeper as my first ride! I loved it! I also went on the magnum xl 200 as my first big drop coaster. Today is day two and I plan on going on the millennium force, raptor, rogarou, steel vengeance and maverick. On day three I want to go on any other coasters maybe the dragster or so.

Caden Guesman I just went on the millennium and stuff. I’m waking up right away and heading straight on the steel vengeance, then the valravn, the dragster than the maverick (if it’s open as it hasn’t been for the past few days!,). Melenium force was unreal with just the small strap over your legs!

Mean streak also has the loudest/most unique “scream”(for lack of a better term) off ride. I always remember listening to that all night when staying on property
Book a chiropractor appointment after you go on corkscrew. It's bumpier than most wooden coasters, and not in a good way.
Awesome video.. CP is my closest park(2 hour drive)but I consider myself lucky. Best park in the world. I'm 37 but feel like a kid every time I'm there. Can't wait for summer 2019!!! Have yet to ride Steel Vengeance.

Y'all need to stop complaining about screamers, b/c most of us are actually using a method. When you scream on the initial drop or a fast increase in speed, it helps to stop the "I-left-my-stomach-at-the-top-of-the-hill" feeling. I personally try to scream as little as possible, but Magnum and Millennium will take quite a few out of me. My question to the complainers is this: would you rather have screams or barf?

I have not been to Cedar Point since the 90s. The Raptor was the first inverted coaster I ever rode. It was brand new then. My favorite by far though was the Magnum. It remains one of the best coasters I ever rode. There may be others built after my visit, but at the time it was like nothing I'd ever ridden.

Each to their own and it's nigh on 20 years since I was last at CP but my favourite by a mile was always Magnum. Next best was the massively underrated Gemini. Raptor was okay, the stand-up, Mantis, was rubbish, Mean Streak was soooo lame compared to how it looked, and I have to admit I had a guilty liking for Disaster Transport. I greyed out on Millennium Force, not pleasant and no airtime anyway..
Apart from the wonderful Magnum, just give me simple wood like Blue Streak and all that Blackpool offers.
Depends on what you like on coasters, and CP has a little something for everyone! Raptor is my favorite since I like all the inversions (I want to get off and not be sure I'm upright!), but it's not for everyone. Mantis was always rubbish, just a novelty and uncomfortable!

This is awful! Blue streak should be above the kiddie coasters and Corkscrew. Magnum is a great ride too. I hope your 2018 version is better... There's no way in hell that TTD is the best ride at Cedar Point!

I went to Cedar Point with my friend and we had so much fun and our personal favorite was Rougarou. I would definitely recommend going there.

I'm old enough to remember going to this park when the Blue Streak was one of only a couple of other coasters at the park.... Jumbo Jet, maybe some kind of wild mouse, and the Blue Streak...oh!, and the Mine Ride.
I stg I feel like the person who made this was just too scared to go on the ACTUAL rides, so they looked them up on TH-cam and rated them from there or something.
I've only ridden them 50 times.
Last time I was at Cedar Point, Rougarou was still called Mantis, and it was a stand-up coaster with these REALLY uncomfortable bicycle-style seats that constantly felt like they were grabbing you by the...um nevermind.
