- Played on level 8 (Hardest) difficulty. Also includes Vermillion fight!
Simply put, Sho is combination of Eiji and Kayin: he has both of their special moves, and uses Eiji's slashes, and Kayin's kicks, making him force to be reckon with. (Interestingly enough BossBrown noted that he's somewhat gimped for that because the normals don't mesh well, limiting him combo-wise.)
Recorded via Retroarch (Beetle PS1 HW core) using the original PAL copy which I own. - เกม

Toshinden 1 and 2 are the games that finally lit the fire within the Namco HQ and brought us the Soul Blade/Soul Calibur franchise. But after seeing Soul Calibur falling from graze, beginning with SC3, the first two Toshinden games need remakes. Proper remakes.

BossBrown not BossBrawn mate lol but thx for the mention. Yeah Sho normal set means he does not get the good up close normals or unique normals of either kayin or Eiji which hits is combo possbilities hard he has little combo potential into slide and after for instance and lacks the big damage of Kayins sword attacks etc etc obviously made up by the fact that on top of having both their specials moves he has his own. The other thing to note is the special moves that he does share have small but significant changes with the idea of his meant to be stronger but actually game play wise ends of with different trade offs the easiest to note and see is his fireball throwing 2 at a time for more damage and pushback problem being it leaves him more open to jump ins and side steps with its long animation time and recovery. His ability to fight from range well and his all around speed are his greatest assests he is a good character but in BAT2 not nearly as overpowering as people first take him for. Nice run btw bud

As a kid, I always wondered who the characters in the background of Vermilion's stage were. Does anyone know?
yeah, me too!! as someone pointed out earlier in the comments, maybe its Sho/Uranus and Master. But juding for their appearances and height, they can be Sho/Cupido and Subaru.
@@Vimtematar32 I like that theory. If the Toshinden wiki is to be believed, Subaru would be 7 or 8 at this point in time, so it matches. You could swap out Sho for Ripper if Sho is fighting on that stage xD

Unfortunately I don't own URA, and Sega Saturn either. But I might make an exception and grab it from "somewhere" if you catch my drift. I'm planning to do few Battle Arena Toshinden 2 Plus runs as well because I managed to grab it from Japanese PSN Store (I still have to figure out music problems).
