Phew, for some reason I had plenty of trouble while making this playthrough. Anyway, I don't have much to say about Eiji.
Recorded via Retroarch (Beetle PS1 HW core) using the original PAL copy which I own. - เกม
When I was a kid I thought at the end of some of Eiji's fights he was saying "eat chili"
He's saying "No Problem" in Japanese

OMG I played this game when I was 9 years at the arcade, but I couldn't read English then and didn't even know its name. And 20 years later I'm lying in my bed and the memory of this game comes to my mind and I try to search for it, but the only thing I remember is Sofia's special attacks and that there was a dude with a sword. So i check online for 1997 arcade 3D fighter and the first result is a list of forgotten arcades and this was the second result! I'm so happy I have found it! I even understand some of the japanese lines xD THANK YOU FOR DEVELOPING THIS GAME! If you ever consider a remake, I'll buy it!
My fondest memories of this game is making sure my fighter would fall out of the ring during their victory pose! I know I'm not the only one!
Or pressing start while a character was being defeated with a continuing move, so during the ‘____ WINS’ screen, the move was still going on 😆 like a fireball that would go on to hit them
21:25 Master have the worst defeat. Hitting his head on the edge of the ring then ring out afterwards.
When i was a kid i always had problems defeating Uranus and even more problems to beat Master :D

I always found Uranus harder. I wasn't surprised when they made her the villain in the anime instead of Gaia or Master.

I played this with my cousin when I was like 5 and never owned it myself so I didn't know how to spell the name until recently. I'm so glad I found this. I missed it. :D

Yo man I havent been around for a while cool to see ur still doing some vids and still doing playthroughs of BAT. I am surprised you did not use more of the combos and techs you have seen in my vids tho lol, you have a lot of good confirms for a full slide combo light kick is always the best follow up after it as close light weapon always comes out as jab after that for some reason but then you can go into sword poke and the overhead jump special move for the follow up or even overdrive
Alrighty. Thanks for the tips. Yeah, my playthrough was bit lousy, as I should have been more diverse with combos, but I had pretty bad luck with AI (they decided to be aggressive and I had to retry countless of times), so I played safe with my attacks. Still, I appreciate your advice (also I liked your Evil Zone advanced tech video as well!)
light kick is always your safest button up close even with a bit of distance the jab is pretty punishable if used incorrectly, the other good normal is your crouching strong kick up close very safe and comboable off of you can even land several of them on a counter or side hit combo. Main combo for Eiji is light kick, crouching heavy kick, standing light punch/weapon, standing heavy punch/weapon and with a bit of strict timing a Dragon punch after that and even close up pursuit attack after the knock from the DP very first combo I do in this video as a reference: th-cam.com/video/EPRIBOZuvQA/w-d-xo.html

Toshinden 2 was overall the better game compared T3 and the godawful T4. Though T3 had more characters , most of them were just clones of another fighter.
I miss Toshinden 2, played the hell out of it back when KoF was the crazy in my country.

Hey im trying it on an emulator. I tried multiple ones and each emulator give me the game with sound but no music. Im guessing its the iso that blows... where'd you get yours ?
I personally used my own PS1 disc, which I ripped via using Imgburn. Pretty much one of the most bulletproof way to get games with Redbook Audio running properly. Dunno how much the game itself costs nowadays in auction sites etc., but I did pay about 8 euros for PAL copy.

Unfortunately I don't own copy of Toshinden 1, at least yet. I'm planning to buy it some day along with Toshinden 4, though. And yeah, I'm aware that I can download them, but I'm bit of a semi-purist in a way that I want to own the real copy first. Funny I know but that's how I roll.

Well, because I have bought BAT 3 and 2, I might as well buy BAT4 as well, even tho people claim it is the weakest in the series. Luckily the copies are cheap.

Ps: whats so special about full battle?
In Full Battle, you fight against every opponent (minus yourself) where as in 1P Battle mode you only fight eight opponents with time ranking which is rather pointless in Vanilla BAT 2 because you can't save.
It is also the only way to fight against Sho (Beat Full Battle without using a continue) or Vermilion (Get three perfects and beat Full Battle without using a continue), although you can't unlock them via Full Battle: you have to play 1P Battle mode to unlock them... or just use a code. (Sho and Vermilion weren't in Arcade version so it does make some sense why you can't fight against them in 1P Battle mode, which is basically the Arcade mode)
