Thanks for this important documentation! My grandfather had a major stroke, recovered from it surprisingly well, stopped smoking and changed his diet. A year later I was sitting in my grandparent's kitchen, drinking tea, right next to my grandfather, and I suddenly saw his left eyelid and the corner of his mouth go down, and he hardly reacted to speech. This happened within 15 seconds. Before my grandmother could react, I had already called the emergency doctor on my mobile phone. He had had three minor strokes at the same time or one right after the other. After that he was a bit restricted on the left side - he fought his way back to life. This experience was so traumatizing as a teenager, I get goose bumps when I think about it.

My mums in this stroke ward right now. Without the nurses and ward staff such as cleaners etc the recovery would not be good. God bless them all. It makes me realize how often I take anything for granted. These people are angels

Frozen: did it affect any of your mobility? I had a hemorrhagic stroke that left me completely paralyzed on my left side. I would say 70% has come back. But I’m praying for a full recovery!

Almario: I was paralyzed for a few weeks. I had intensive therapy and little by little I started gaining movement back. I was only 33 when it happened. Watching this made me miss my therapist. They were amazing!!

My Mom got rushed to hospital today suspect of stroke, 2 hours ago we got told it was one, she had issues before with a tumor and things happened again a few months ago her speech got affected and some other things, I told her to sort it out with the doctor she never did, she woke up today in a much worse state leading us to call 999, then obviously it was a stroke, The problems over the last few months was probably a also stroke :( we will get that confirmed after they test her more but we are kicking ourselves for not calling 999 when things happened months ago but she was stubborn not to sort it out the symptoms she had before this one was, Laughing at weird times being lost in her own head a bit spacial awareness decreased abnormal walking
