I love the release schedule. Think its enough time to get balance right, build anticipation, appreciate the current set, build different decks & collect. One thing that would be cool would be special releases like maybe premade decks for all avatars that includes cards w/different art. Especially for those who aren't able to complete the sets or purchase boxes, its a good way to get new people in and keep them in a fun, competitive set. #sirpercival
@michaelgomez7665 i like the idea of more pre-cons. Especially with alt art. They could even do different power level pre-cons or themes. Like knights vs monsters, etc.
Great vid, loads of great insight. I went all in on collecting after sizing up Eric and simply determining this is a capable game maker who cares and is onto something special.
The tokens are a great “happy accident”. If you ever play / played the board can get very crowded with all the sites, minions normal, buried / submerged etc. the mini tokens make it easier to manage and keep track imo.
Incredible video and commentary. You and I seem pretty alike…2 kids (13 and 11), demanding job, very little free time…..but a passion for this game! While a part of me wants slightly faster release cycle, I love the idea of every 9 months. Anything more frequent than 6 months would be a massive disappointment. I need time to enjoy the set and dwell in it.
@shibbie711 I suspect many of us are adults with responsibilities. As a result, we benefit from a slower cadence to keep a hobby/life balance. I think a mini set around the 6 month mark would be good for people thursting for something before the 12 month mark. Or to your point, a main set on a 9-month cadence is an interesting thought exercise. Thanks for the comment and engagement in my content!
@@TedsBasementPodcast so Let me preface by saying that I currently live in Mexico and Nation wide we only have 2 stores that sell the game so there's very little talk about it here, how ever, I was browsing on amazon for board game deals and found a deal on the 4 elements starter deck box and it called out to me, so I purchased it and then that same day I did a bunch of research into the game, then I found the one store in Mexico that actually has a website with the product in it and got a playmat and one booster box of Arthurian legends!, then since I have to wait a good 20 days for everything to get delivered because their order is actually stuck in customs I just started looking at unboxing videos and from youtube recommendations I found your channel!

Definitely a plus for me for the annual release, and they were upfront about it and following through which is great. My boxes still yet to come, but will likely chase a full foil set and it's great we can take our time with it over the next year before the next set.
@@TedsBasementPodcast i also think minisets will be good - to keep the interest rollling and also to help the players with some new cards to keep things interesting!
All boxes are already sold out in Sweden on preorder so I couldn't get any this time either. I managed to buy the starter decks from London (quite expensive) but that's all I've managed to interact with the game. Set looks extremely sweet and I hope the game gets more available so I can play
@stuvius totally agree! As popularity spreads, they need to make sure people all over the world can get the product. I heard there may be another wave that may reach more folks.
@robertstrickhart i did the same. I completely moved from MTG (new stuff) to Sorcery. Vintage still holds a special place in my heart but new magic gets lost in abundance. Can't keep up with sets, new mechanics, i build a deck then 3 months later it's outdated. I'm just done with buying new. But I'll play for free on Arena, lol.
