Thanks to all my new subscribers even though my last video was posted over 3 months ago! Here’s a short one for you showing a process I’ve been using for years, but never shown it to anyone. More consistent content to come, but I’d love your feedback on what you’d like to see on this channel, so please, if you have any suggestions let me know below!
Big fan of your work man, I find the videos very informative regarding the techniques you use in manufacturing custom parts. One suggestion... noticed your thumbnails dont always show the cars thats being worked on, might generate a few more views for your channel if you were to show that R8 or whatever other car you're working on. Just a thought, I'll keep watch these vids regardless. Now just be careful not to give away too many secrets 😉
That is amazing work. I've been at this for 25 years (professionally) and so far the videos I've watched are how it should be done. You're doing God's work, mate.
Thanks for the input Mark! I’m going to be sharing a lot more as I’ve held back over the years and not wanted to reveal my ‘secrets’. I realised I want to show people cool stuff and about 70% of my business is this type of work, and 30% installing audio, so that’s a huge chunk I’ve not been sharing! So I’ve decided to be as transparent as possible and not to worry about competitors having access to my ‘secrets’, as I shouldn’t let that stop me from sharing what I want to share.
@@RTAFabrication That would be the best approach to ebrace mate. We have a lot to learn from you. I just did watch all your videos at once and really wonder you have more to offer. Cheers!
Love your work this is art! What kind of material do you use for the final product and how you make it uv light resistant? I run a small 3d printing business in Dominican Republic and I want to make a air conditioner vents for a Honda but haven't find the best material that give smooth shape and surface without a lot of post-processing like fdm prints require, I was thinking about print them in resin but for uv protection I have to apply clear coat but I have think about it will peel off after time and use, I will really appreciate any advice for make a useful product 🙏
Awesome Work bro i always watch your videos and it inspiring me keep upload more videos , and please could you tell me the black material you've used ? From Egypt With Love . RTA is Epic
Sweet work! Keep the videos coming. Attention to detail is spot on. I'd like to hear more about your process and materials you use as your video plays out. I understand your not ready to divulge secrets yet, but i do enjoy your content so far. Phenomenal work
Thanks Joe! At this point I’m happy to share my processes, material choices etc. I’ve got some more videos planned to cover these topics, as it’s been requested quite a lot on my latest video. Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
It is criminal that TH-cam isn't pushing this to more people... The effort and quality you put into not only the product but the production and camerawork of these videos for like 3k people is insane. You deserve so much more. Cheers from America from a fellow maker, don't let impostor syndrome get to you, you're the real deal.
Thanks Seth I really appreciate that! Cinematography/ photography is a hobby of mine and it’s nice to be able to bring that into my work and film my work. I actually see that and my work to be one in the same, I’m just as particular in both aspects haha. Thanks again for the encouragement, I do appreciate it!
Done it again mate, video production level is through the roof, the subtle music and the sound over of you working, sick B roll footage all blended together to give such an immersive feel to what you say, to your secret side of work.. Nicely done dude
@@RTAFabrication Quality over quantity. I don't think you are here to upload X number of videos. Your work is such an inspiration to me - much more than wanting to work on my car or listen to music. Do what feels right and we'll be here to follow whatever that is.
You may go into specifics for variaty of topics mate. Your content opportunities are basicly endless. Mold making, resin casting, painting.. I am already exited for what is coming.
Hello From which material do you pour the product, is it solid and of good quality? visually professional Is the inner material liquid polyurethane? I had something like this done to my vehicle, but the product was very fragile, the master said, liquid polyurethane.
Love your content mate! but I've just noticed and realised at the end of this vid... this is the unit that Nick Bundy done the light wall in and he filmed his van tour here didn't he aha! keep up the good content mate!
Thanks Edward! Yes I film/ edit everything myself, it’s a hobby/ interest of mine so it’s a win win doing the work I love and getting to film it! 😄 Thanks for watching 👍🏻
@@RTAFabrication Amazing! Where did you learn how to do the video production? Any tips? Love watching the videos, and looking forward to seeing some more. 👍
It’s called Timer+. It appears as ‘Timer+ • multiple timers’ on the App Store and the developer is minima software. It’s the best timer I’ve found for timing multiple moulds 👍🏻
The negative mould is made of silicone. If you check out my other video called “Making A Product From Scratch” you’ll be able to see the process of making the negative mould. Thanks for watching!
No worries! This type of silicone is called addition cure silicone. I specifically use one from a company called DWR Plastics, it’s their 1-2-1 easy mould with a shore rating of A28 (medium).

When cinematography and high end casting work comes together you get content like this. Amazing work. Both the design and camera skills

Incredible craftsmanship! Don't be afraid to show the design phase too, your creativity doesn't end here!
Anything that makes you happy THATS THE "ONE AND ONLY" RIGHT THING TO DO... 🇲🇽👍🏽
Just the way you work, beside the pieces you fabricate....it is overwhelming...true Craftsman
