I mean maybe I’m just echoing everyone else here, but thank you for sharing the story of this build. From start to finish I’m impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. You’ve reminded me that, no matter what, go slow. Speed never pays off when you’re looking for a photo-ready piece. Came here also from your new phone charging stand. That one earned my subscription, and I’m looking forward to learning more from you, as a developing industrial designer myself. Thanks again!
every now and then the algorithm gets it right, a random vid pops up that ticks all my boxes, thanks for bringing me here Google and thanks to you for the great work.
The 3D printed matrix shell is superb. It's not a method I see often but it's certainly one that should be utilized more. Bookmarked and saved for later.
Thanks Alec! Yeah it’s not a method I see that often either! If you don’t already I’d check out Volpinprops over on Instagram. It’s a guy called Harrison who does some excellent work and creates so really good and technical matrix moulds! Thanks for watching!
@@RTAFabrication I've been following him for years. He/his team is the only other instance I've seen of printed mold jackets. They produce amazing work but I just haven't seen an instructional like this!
I felt like I was staring in my own 'reacts' video watching this. First video I am watching of yours and I was ready for you to be done when you finished with the original which was really nice and then you started making the mold and my mind was blown again. Thanks for sharing your craft with us.
Thanks man I appreciate that! I think my main problem is consistency of uploads to be honest. It’s difficult to film some of the work I do as it extends the length of the job quite a lot with setting up lighting, new angles etc. I am working towards streamlining my setup with fixed lighting for different work areas so there’s less setup between shots. That, among other things, will definitely speed up the process and give me more opportunity to film more projects. Thanks for watching!
@@RTAFabrication We also set up the light at the beginning and eventually came up with more natural light to save time. But we have a separate operator. It must be very hard on your own. You're a big lad. Did you do anything to promote the channel? Or did the algorithms eventually find you? I already have hands because of the small number of views.
Impressive work! From the highly detailed product to the aesthetic throughout the entire video. Loved watching every second of it! Something that's also worth noting is the fact that there's a lot of designing work that didn't got shown in this video. I am truly in awe.
Thanks man I appreciate the feedback! You’re right about the design work, I thought that might be abit of a boring thing to watch and break the flow of the video in this style. I appreciate acknowledgment of that though! Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Hey I just discovered your channel last week and wanted to say I'm mad impressed at everything you do. My whole DIY hobby started from a blown speaker in my '99 S10 and that eventually led me down DIY car audio (fiberglass kick panels, sub boxes, etc) and eventually into 3D printing/CNC. The fact you're doing all of this at the quality you are, AND filming/editing it as you go is very impressive. Keep up the great work.
@@RTAFabrication Hi RTA, curious about which degasser you are using, I'm shopping ATM but not sure... also would love to know more about the router bits you are using. Thanks, now watching again for the second time round hahaha
Great work. Also looking at the charred marks on sides of wood during the CNC camera work, try tuning the cut plan, decrease rpm or increase speed. If it cannot cope for lack of rigidity, try reducing depth of cut
Thank you man I appreciate that! I’m grateful for the growth I’ve had so far, but I think it’s down to the inconsistency of uploads. I’m working on a schedule that’s going to make uploading more often possible 👍🏻
It's 00:01 and I'm sitting in front of the monitor and watching your stunning work. Highest level of editing the video! Thanks for clarifying all the details in the comments!
Thanks for watching man! No worries, I hope you’ve been able to find all the info you need. With all the questions I’ve been asked, I am tempted to create a video of me making something but explaining what I’m doing and mentioning materials and reasons for using them as I feel it might be helpful to a lot of people!
Thanks man! Honestly torn with this one whether I should have put music to it or not but decided to go ASMR style. Glad you enjoyed it man and thanks for watching!
Really, really well done - this was a pleasure to watch! And THANK YOU for vacuuming the resin before pouring, even though pressurizing it whilst hardening. I wonder why so few people do...
Many resins have a pot life too short to vacuum. When you are casting a few hundred items, a few minutes more cute time can equal another days work time. If you’re making your molds right and pouring correctly you generally won’t see a difference between vacuuming and not. Though every mold is different and calls for different techniques. That’s the fun and the heartbreak of fabricating. lol
That's a great video. Is it okay to show this much know-how? Thank you. I'm very interested in casting resin and this video has helped me a lot. And your video is beautiful and the editing is flawless. I hope more videos will be uploaded. Thank you!😄
Thanks Charlie! Yeah it’s a long process, especially with filming it all myself too. Now I have the mould and the shell making another mould once this burns out will take quite literally half a day to a full day. I can put the master back in one side of the silicone and put that into the shell then just pour silicone into the side that I left out. Once that’s cured, removed the old silicone side and pour into that side, so the work with the shell and everything does pay off in the long run! Thanks for watching!
As always you have another great video. I noticed that you are using a compressor without an oil filter, so smoke is emitted during its operation. try to use such a filter and you will get rid of the unpleasant smell in your room)
I just love it! Your work is fantastic, I was already impressed by your previous product video about the suspension controller. If I understood correctly, you use "1-2-1 Easy Mould" for the silicone. Can you provide more information or a link about polyurethane? (I was not very successful in finding one similar to yours, which is two-part and black) Thanks in advance and keep it up!
Thank you man! I appreciate you watching! The adhesive is a methacrylate glue called VM100 from a company called Easy Composites. If you need anymore info let me know.
The attention to detail, the exceedingly clean results, the beautiful videography... Amazing work!
Thanks Garret I appreciate that and I'm glad you enjoyed the project and the video itself!
Thanks for sharing the video. Amazed by the craftmanship.
No ads, No sponsors. You have my respect brother 🫡

Thank you so much for putting no music and just the raw sound so we can hear the process. :)
Unbelievably. I enjoyed every minute of this cinematic top notch craftmanship. Truly inspring and educational.

The esthetics - 100% gold & charcoal! STUNNING!

A blessing to watch these it is
Another very enjoyable video; thank you for sharing! I love how the mould picks up the detail of the Oak grain👍😊
This is just fantastic. No music would be my preference.
Very cool but i would have loved some text on screen describing the process, types of materials, specs etc. Larry
Incredible work, just love it.

Thanks! I’m working on some more content at the moment. Currently it’s tracking about one a year which isn’t ideal 😅 Thanks for watching!
Great end result Reece,it looks fantastic!
Incredible work.
Absolutely love your videos! So inspiring and relaxing to watch! Keep it up!
Great job on the 3d printing and Mould. Having the know-how on how to do things every step of the way isn't for everyone.
Great work. Also looking at the charred marks on sides of wood during the CNC camera work, try tuning the cut plan, decrease rpm or increase speed. If it cannot cope for lack of rigidity, try reducing depth of cut
but again, was just used as a master for a mould so ... not much difference :D
Love while she sleeps! So awesome
Wow, such an impressive amount of detail captured in the silicone mold! Really impressive work!
Great video! I love how skilfully and neatly you work
Thank you Paul I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
Lol, I just walked out to the shed turned the CNC on put in my headphones and now I am watching your video :)
Haha thanks for checking it out Michael! I do appreciate it!
watched 1 min then stopped, had to sub before I forgot. Unreal work dude!
Thank you man I appreciate that a lot!
The detail and perfection... Didn't expect anything different than that 😎👊🏼
Very smartly done, ta for the vid.
