The soundtrack is actually what convinced me that I should buy the game. I've played most of the civ games and even have the old DS version of revolution coming in the mail. The others have great soundtracks but this one is without a doubt the best!
@@mushroomancer159 It's just a few variations on Scotland the Brave which was written some time in the 1800s, it's not as impressive as original writing specifically for the game - even if it is one of the best tracks.
@@Aetherian1 that doesn't mean they aren't brilliant. I love what they did with my country's music and I feel like they did it a great honour with the way they covered it
Ancient version of "Scotland the great" is the only "true" one played in mixolydian B scale, like it should be. Others are a bit off with that G dur transition. Anyway great game & soundtrack, I absolutely love it, don't mind my rant

One of the best set of songs for a civilization. Only complaint is that I wish they'd included bagpipes in the later themes.
It is in the atomic era version. Usually, all the themes in the atomic era includes modern synths, orchestral, and classical instruments.

Either way the Medieval one sounds best to me.
I think, like the other sound tracks, it’s incorporates the new culture of music. Most Scot’s now won’t be listening to bagpipes haha
