Hi, happy to hear you’re doing well. Although I agree with most of the things Dr. Peterson says, i do caution you of following his words too much. As much as we can learn from him i think it’s important to stay skeptical of some things.
I said sorry to a girl in school for a thing I did, I was being bullied and took it out on her, she doesn't even know what I did when I apologised but I was so glad I did 💞🌻
Currently reading Jocko Willinks book on leadership after he talk to JP. Already recognized most of the principles which feels pretty good although it's always nice to get a streamlined overview to stay focussed.
“I better not ever be able to tell that you have been using something. Because if i can tell then you cant handle it And that means that you’re not doing it appropriately.” 19:04 That’s golden.
Dr. Peterson is invaluable. I hope the younger generations will aspire to be like him and from many, perhaps a few will emerge. Every generation needs a Jordan Peterson.
As uncomfortable and scary as it was in the beginning, I found that telling the truth gave me a sense of freedom and courage that filled my soul like nothing else did.
“Above all, do not lie to yourself. A man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point where he does not discern any truth either in himself or anywhere around him, and thus falls into disrespect towards himself and others. Not respecting anyone, he ceases to love, and having no love, he gives himself up to passions and coarse pleasures in order to occupy and amuse himself, and in his vices reaches complete beastiality, and it all comes form lying continually to others and himself. A man who lies to himself is often the first to take offense. it sometimes feels very good to take offense, doesn't it? And surely he knows that no one has offended him, and that he himself has invented the offense and told lies just for the beauty of it, that he has exaggerated for the sake of effect, that he has picked up on a word and made a mountain out of a pea--he knows all of that, and still he is the first to take offense, he likes feeling offended, it gives him great pleasure, and thus he reaches the point of real hostility...'" --Fyodor Dostoeyvsky

Mr Peterson, Your thoughts have had a profound effect across the western world and beyond. Keep up your good work. You’ve given me an understanding of some of the madness that’s going on in this world and allowed me to connect the dots. I want to thank you (deeply) for this. Lately, you've been in my head, specifically this quote: "you have no idea how efficient, efficient people can be." I am eternally grateful for your wisdom.
I constantly find myself re-watching your videos, I can't seem to stop taking 10 steps back every 5 steps forward. Maybe I'm missing a step along the way but thank you sir for sharing your knowledge for free.
I cherish every utterance you make, Dr Jordan Peterson. Your existence in this world, makes it a less lonely place. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
In 2019 i went into a huge depression. I would say it stemmed from my young confusion of the value and point of life. Dr. Peterson became my answer to all my faults. His bluntness that we love so much was just what I needed. Truth is beautiful
It’s not “like” - it IS having him. It’s not any less helpful because it helps many. Count your selves blessed. He IS a gift. Ignore him at your own demise.
If any Human needs a quack like Peterson they are a futile experiment of life. Everything one needs is inside them. Tap into it. Why would anyone need to get into someone else's head? Are folks so fragile they can't use introspection or self-evaluation to navigate the planet? Give me a break! There are severe mental conditions. No doubt. But whiners who are baffled by life's swings are seeking validation from others to bolster their self-worth. Pitiful!
I learned too late in my life the meaning of the phrase, “if you don’t know what you don’t know and that you don’t know that”…… the question is what happens with your life. This is something I’ve reflected on many times with my choices in my career. We wind up with regret. I found myself many times telling myself if I’d have known what I know now I would have done things differently. I’m convinced I would have been much happier with my life and my career. The worst choice was thinking I could do it all by myself and my talent. I later wished I’d have had a mentor. It’s something I should have looked for while in school, but my ego stopped that.
This is like listening to an honest and trusted friend when you need them most. TY VERY much for taking the time and effort for giving us advice Mr.Peterson. I won't go into specifics but I think I can can try to get back on track to where I want to be with some of your gems. Thx again from London : ]
After years of being at what I believe to be my rock bottom, Jordan Peterson is the one person who can say something and have it actually resonate with me. Thank you Jordan and may I get my hands on your book one day.
Dear Jordan. You probably won't see this, but I just really want to thank you for being one of the few individuals who acts in accordance with truth. Oftentimes I am moved to tears, simply by the way you conduct yourself in the presence of those who are hostile towards the goodness in you. You are the salt of the earth; an honest man, with a sincere heart. You will never know how much you've touched my life, and that of my family's. Thank you for all you do.
You're like the father many of us never had. I'm sure I'm not the first one to say this but it's true nonetheless. I deeply admire your wisdom and I wish you all the best, both to you and your family!
I'm so happy I found Dr. Peterson's lectures a few years ago and I changed a lot as a person (complete with a drastic change in personality after retaking a few personality tests to compare my self now vs 3-5 years ago). I went from being an office worker to a business owner and executive for another one because I used opportunity (opportunities I saw previously as impossible or not even a remote possibility for me) to force myself to grow. I treated my 'greatest good' as helping as many people help themselves through the business I set up, from 5 people on staff I now have almost 50 (after 1.5 years) that I can confidently say I'm giving steady, well paying employment to and that in turn helps their families... and everyday its a challenge because part of that responsibility is so many more people are relying on my competency to keep the ship afloat and on course so to speak.
Jordan dude from the bottom of my aching heart I am so grateful for your content, I am a person who gets mixed up alot in seeing things all good or all bad despite kind of knowing that it isnt the case, as you said ive been "throwing the baby out with the bath water" in an effort to try make sense of myself and others around me, I find myself shifting between seeing myself as wrong, others right and vice versa, I realise that its about being more attentive, a good deed is a a good deed and the more that it is selfless the better, in a world full of muck you really are a diamond, like a second father, thank you
It’s not kinda not knowing, you absolutely know it’s not the case. Examine why you might not be really really sure about that. When you are more sure about yourself what you project will be more colorful and less black and white!

More importantly..... everything the good Dr. just spoke about. 😃
On the saving your father bit. I remembered in one of your lectures you said to "aim to be the kind of person you can depend on at his father's funeral ". I didn't realize how quickly I would need that advise. When my father passed away 6 weeks ago. I was able to help with most the arrangements myself. I reminded everyone of my dad's sense of humor, the stories he would tell, and at my mother's request I gave my dad's memorial talk. The memorial was streamed via Zoom to 285 homes, with an average of 3 people per house hold we were looking at well over 800 virtual attendants. I have been inundated by my father's personal friends thanking me for capturing and displaying the essence of who their friend was. My family seems to have grown closer. Thank you for the advise Dr Peterson, it really helped. It did come at a sacrifice. I am now hours away from surgery. The stress of the matter left me with some ailmants that will need to be removed surgically. But the peace I was able to contribute to is well worth it and I am in good spirits knowing I did all I can as a son Thank you again

Because you speak in such a way that reminds me of good conversation, good listening, a good meal. In the 2nd half of my life, I remember a boy who would sit with me, during lunch, both of us squeezed onto a small wash of light from the skylight, at centre stage. An old auditorium with velvet curtains and the smell of dust, situated in a place that was one of the most psychologically dangerous spaces, high school. My quirky friend would propose good questions, and we would wrestle with the answers over PB & J. Let the world open again to both good questions and the suffering of learning. Thank you in advance Jordan for all your work.

Most of these questions I've been torn by myself, so thank you for answering them! You might be glad to hear that I've just overcome one of my greatest long-standing self-deceptions the other day. It involved rejection, yes as well as facing and letting go of my past. It devestated and flattened me...for around 12 hours. Then the next day realized that I grew so much more than I lost as a result of it, I was blown away. I've gained self-respect as a result of walking towards my fear, and freedom to build a life and set goals and plans that are based on truth, not fantasies. All this, because I faced a thing I've been terrified of for years. I can only recommend (with due consideration but not too much overthinking) that everyone facing similar issues do the same. Needless to say you're one of the people who greatly influenced me in the direction of this achievement as well as my ability to deal with its fallout so again, thank you!

And surely he knows that no one has offended him, and that he himself has invented the offense and told lies just for the beauty of it, that he has exaggerated for the sake of effect, that he has picked up on a word and made a mountain out of a pea--he knows all of that, and still he is the first to take offense, he likes feeling offended, it gives him great pleasure, and thus he reaches the point of real hostility...'"

In 2019 i went into a huge depression. I would say it stemmed from my young confusion of the value and point of life. Dr. Peterson became my answer to all my faults. His bluntness that we love so much was just what I needed. Truth is beautiful
" *He who has not received the love of truth will be deceived* "
I'm just gonna leave this quote here for those to whom that would make sense
These are a bit like having DR JORDAN PETERSON..... as your personal therapist. How crazy is that?!
Or an antidote to crazy? lol
Extremely Crazy! Get a life!
It is wonderful
Living in truth requires a lot of courage. Be brave.
This is like listening to an honest and trusted friend when you need them most.
TY VERY much for taking the time and effort for giving us advice Mr.Peterson.

The Screwtape Letters by C.S Lewis
Outwitting The Devil by Napoleon Hill

Thank You Jordan for taking the time to answer questions!
