To me you have to have a lot of courage to modify a tool. You did a really good job on the modifications. I bought a SOG Powerlitre instead of the Powerpint so I know SOG doesn't sell cases/pouches for these models. If you had a case/pouch for your Powerpint you could buy the Leatherman saw blade and diamond file set for the Surge and carry them in the case/pouch so you can use the diamond file more easily to sharpen blades. I bought the Powerlitre instead of the Powerpint because my father was in the US American army military based in Germany for many years and when we visited our relatives in Austria they always had all different kinds of corkscrews around just in case someone wanted to open a bottle of wine. I don't even drink wine very often but I want to be ready in case anyone else wants to open a bottle of wine. In the USA most people are beer or hard liquor drinkers so there isn't this preoccupation - like I have - to always have a corkscrew with you. The Powerlitre also has a lever that locks the rear of the multi-tool together so that if you use the bit driver you don't have to keep pressure continuously on both ends of the tool to keep the hex bit locked in the bit driver. The Powerpint doesn't have that. Is the saw blade long enough for you? That's a really good idea you had for the 4mm hex bits. Best wishes in your multi-tool journey or obsession whatever it turns out to be.
HOW did you put those custom functions together? I can't even take my powerpint apart, the torx screws hold together like they're welded! I already broke two bits!
That's exactly how I wished this tool came. Especially the wood saw. I don't need two different knives. I need one. I MUCH rather have one knife + a saw than two knives.
I completely agree the scissors on these are terrible, however another video explained part of the problem is they’re left handed scissors so need to be pushed the opposite way to tighten the two blades together. It has made them almost usable to me knowing that.
Great modifications! I wish I had the skill to do this. Saw is great and the stock scissors stink. I wonder if another multitool flat head might fit in there? I heard that they snap too

Good mods 👍I have powerpint and I agree that the scissors are useless and the actual knife is not much better than useless.I do, however, think it is too small for a wood saw option. Otherwise it is a handy tool because it can do a lot for it's size.
And since I tried the hook now: It definitely does NOT cut fabric - I tried with a pair of jeans I was throwing away anyway. It does not cut at all.Maybe it needs some sharpening, but it looks pretty sharp to me already, I just think the angle is too steep to cut fabric.
Good video. The mods I have done are just the obvious bottle opener tip which NEEDS to be ground down to a flat head screwdriver. Incomprehensible how it doesn't come that way. Second, I added a little magnet to hold it closed. The scissors are useless. Incredible how bad they are. Reviews point this out all the time, but none seem to clearly capture the fact that they aren't just bad, they are WORTHLESS. I don't know how any self respecting manager at SOG would put such junk on a nice tool. Wish there was a way to improve it other than to fab up a replacement.

another option for saw blades is to use a jigsaw blade in the bit holder. Especially with the lock in the powerlitre, it should work really well.
Man, you don’t need to have a corkscrew to open the wine bottle - you need just a knife, please search this method on TH-cam. It’s simple as that!

Awesome job modding your tool. I only modded my file into an extended flat head driver and put thumb plates on the blades.
