Great mods. I’ve dremeled the hook and bottle opener to be more useful on mine. Want to remove the pocket clip but getting bot sides unscrewed at the same time is a bear. What are your tricks?

I completely agree the scissors on these are terrible, however another video explained part of the problem is they’re left handed scissors so need to be pushed the opposite way to tighten the two blades together. It has made them almost usable to me knowing that.

(I would want to see a thick bushcraft knife blade added, like Mora Eldris blade at least 2mm thick, scandy grind. I wonder what's the weight after all your mods? Thanks!

Great modifications! I wish I had the skill to do this. Saw is great and the stock scissors stink. I wonder if another multitool flat head might fit in there? I heard that they snap too

Dude, when you said you must have a pouch with overpriced gear, I felt that so hard lol. Counting just the few items on my valet tray on my nightstand, it has my custom para 3, wallet, pry bar, Knipex 5" Cobra, TPT slide and a maybe 4-5 other items, I know for fact there's $1180 sitting in that valet tray, I really don't even want to start opening my pouches and doing math, I'd end up being so upset that I could've bought 3 houses with what I've spent on knives and multi-tools. Cool video and hella cool mod my guy, I'm very interested in learning to do this myself as well but I'm afraid I'll just end up with two broke multi-tools and $200 in the trash can lol

Best Leatherman mod I've seen. Leatherman needs to take notes.

Very cool, sir I like what you have done. I have the Wave with Rebar pliers in it, I took the scissors out and put the Rebar awl in its place, and put the Charges s30v straight blade in its place. I am debating on removing the serrated blade and installing the 91 mm victorinox scissors in its place, and maybe removing the micro driver and putting a smaller serrated blade in that spot. Ive seen a few videos of people doing the sak scissors swap.

HOW did you put those custom functions together? I can't even take my powerpint apart, the torx screws hold together like they're welded! I already broke two bits!

And since I tried the hook now: It definitely does NOT cut fabric - I tried with a pair of jeans I was throwing away anyway. It does not cut at all.Maybe it needs some sharpening, but it looks pretty sharp to me already, I just think the angle is too steep to cut fabric.

That's exactly how I wished this tool came. Especially the wood saw. I don't need two different knives. I need one. I MUCH rather have one knife + a saw than two knives.

Good video. The mods I have done are just the obvious bottle opener tip which NEEDS to be ground down to a flat head screwdriver. Incomprehensible how it doesn't come that way. Second, I added a little magnet to hold it closed. The scissors are useless. Incredible how bad they are. Reviews point this out all the time, but none seem to clearly capture the fact that they aren't just bad, they are WORTHLESS. I don't know how any self respecting manager at SOG would put such junk on a nice tool. Wish there was a way to improve it other than to fab up a replacement.

Good mods 👍I have powerpint and I agree that the scissors are useless and the actual knife is not much better than useless.I do, however, think it is too small for a wood saw option. Otherwise it is a handy tool because it can do a lot for it's size.

This tool is fantastic. I would love to learn more about how you shaped the awl and the phillips, and how you made the bit storage also magnetic. This last one I also implemented but I am not satisfied with how it turned out.
