- Emmanuel Bankston learned about raising cattle from a man with a 2nd or 3rd-grade education, his grandfather. Not only did his grandfather teach him about cattle, but he also taught him how to be a man. We hope you join us again for this week’s Growing America Story.

God bless this young man. How fortunate he was to have that grandpa who cared so much about him and taught him so much. I only had one grandpa, and he left my world when I was maybe four or five years old. So I was not as fortunate as Mr. Bankston.
But I will tell all of you ... Do not leave this world without taking Jesus with you. And time is running out.

I can remember going to the cattle sale on Wednesday at Gray and Son’s in Clanton,Al and to one in Union Town ,Al with my grandpa as a young boy. Great memories!
