Binford Farms Season 1: Episode 3 Farming Without My Daddy Letting go of your daddy is tough, even when he tells you it's time. Join us for this week's episode of Binford Farms.
Farming is a different way of life. I chores before my dad's funeral, came back after we buried him, fed cattle again. There is no down time. Good luck with the farm, you'll be awesome with it, and your dad will be proud of ya.
My wonderful Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 1986. She died on her 52nd birthday on 1/7/87. My Dad didn't coddle me either. But I knew he loved me and tried to teach me all he could. He was snuffed out in 2005 by a stupid woman who ran a red light at 60 mph and t boned his little car without touching her brakes. And I had just cleared all my voicemails, including one from my brother, the day before he burned to death in a house fire just over 8 years ago. We all take time for granted. Until it's gone. Human nature I guess. This fine man was brought up right. The only way we can attempt to repay parents like that is to pay it forward.
