I remember this like it was yesterday. We were in the middle of the worst farm crisis this country had seen since the Great Depression. In many ways it was worse than the Depression. I live in the neighboring county, and when word of Mr. Hill's suicide got out, everyone was in shock. Farmers in Burke County and all the neighboring counties were all trying to come to grips with the fact that many of us were in the same boat as Mr. Hill and we honestly didn't know what our future held.
That's as good as you can put it into word's as I've ever heard!!!! Good job Sir!
Be that sponge in the conversation with other farmers Listen to the stories of the good yrs and bad
First rule of life; don't give up.
I'm in my late 30s, I miss when elderly ppl were truly of a different world. When I was lil boy in late 80s early 90s ppl this age spoke of life before widespread power and indoor plumbing and definitely life before automobiles were owned by everybody. Seems the South was a generation behind. His points are spot on
That's right 👍
Just love how you're honoring your grandfather❤
What a wonderful message
You can have your paper shuffling wall street geeks, who really produce nothing. I'll take a farmer anywhere, any day, anytime. God Bless them all.
What a wonderful story ❤️❤️
God bless you for honoring your father!!❤❤
You guys in the comments are fucked, he bought his first farm off has daddy for 16$ an acre and you think he’s hard done by, anyone one that’s started off with acreage from his daddy should have double at age 47
He was 7 or 8 years old. His daddy was trying to help him learn a lesson. It was story about not giving up land. Hate you missed it.
Couldn’t have said it better. Nobody lives your life but you. Don’t waste time worrying about what other people think.
Best advice I've heard in a long time.
God bless President Trump! If not for him, I would have thought this is a wonderful America without corruption! I started to know how Democrats working. Will never vote for another no god fearing Democrat!!! Trump 2024!!
I agree with him. Farm the way you want. I don't have the best equipment or hundreds of acres but I'm thankful that God has allowed me to farm and ranch. I've been doing it in some form or fashion since I was 8. I also started my family late; 47. I think momma and daddy are smiling down on me from Heaven. God bless all the farmers.
You must be proud!!
Come to mountains of NC
Need a podcast interview with this fellow
Agreed
HOW HAS THIS NOT BEING SHOWN NOW IN 2024?! Shameful cencoring by Google.. making me think of switching to Samsung 😡
Good story
I'm farming for the same reasons, partner. Trying to make a dead man proud.
Thank you, Farmers!!
😊
My brother and I rented are first land in the early 80s, built a 450 head hog finishing barn 16% interest, first few years it was a pretty skinny living.
Amen

#FJB #Trump2024 I will be voting for Trump for president for 3rd time (6 if you count all the primaries I’ve voted for him every time since 2016)
Words of wisdom! Thank you Sir for what you do and what you’ve done!!🙏🏼🚜🐮👍🏼
Im in the cattle side of it, but there is no better feeling than knowing that we feed this country.
Miss your channel mr. Jenkins
You nailed it!!! Great video!
Really miss his youtube channel. Florida is very similar to NC with the style of farming. More people need to know what we put our farmers through.
Love the smell of life, not fresh dirt. Learn about soil health.
Same with landscaping
Amen
Truly incredible
Notice she doesn't say a word about Trump contributing any of that money? No, he just helped "raise" the money for publicity. They couldn't even save the entire farm but Trump didn't think of chipping in the rest. He only spends other people's money.
So, what you are saying is not true. He did contribute from what we were told. Curious, what did you do to help?
@@growingamerica You were not told that. Listen again. He didn't contribute one penny.
@@LydiaTheDog-op9wy, there was hours of conversation outside of what you see in this video. Wish you the best.
@@growingamerica What did you do to help?
@@LydiaTheDog-op9wyGo watch the full video. What he couldn’t raise he ended up donating. It was $320,000 owed & he raised $76,000. Obviously that isn’t enough to save the farm. They wouldn’t be able to burn the deed had he not chipped in the balance.
Keep fighting buddy you are in my prayers
He’s an awesome guy I wish everyone could go see the farm! It was amazing he truly cares about us work. We will always buy our beef from Mason Hills Farm
Thank you so much for the support
