Funny how playstation fanboys think any pc guy would be bothered waiting, i littlerly have 600 games on steam unplayed, yet they talk about xbox games on ps5 but have to wait, the irony from these kids is unbelievable, there is definitely some sort of cult like mental illness with the sony fanboy.
Why do these console guys act like pc need their games? will someone please tell them their most sold game year in year out COD started on pc and was ported to console, Damn even GTA started on pc, minecraft, half life, Doom, deus ex, Without pc giving these games a platform they wouldnt be popular enough for people to want ports, yet they say pc players are port beggars when we have a bigger library than every console combined....these people are crazy.
I will say I think we're making a mistake as PC gamers by shitting on Epic all the time. Epic does offer developers a bigger cut than steam. Epic only takes 12% of a cut. Steam takes 30% of a cut. So these exclusive deals with them....developers don't really have an incentive to skip Epic. They can get the biggest ROI from initial sales. So if we actually want to support whatever developer is doing a title exclusive on there....we're kinda shitting on any future projects they have by dumpstering Epic just cause we don't like the launcher.

Sony's requirement for a PSN account for single player games like God of War makes no sense.

It does when you look at the big picture. They want people to become a part of their metrics and TOS. They could also see and measure if anyone would actually go and buy a PS5 to play a sequel since it would be a PSN account first used on PC that than is tied to a console, which some people probably will. Also if they were to offer their own launcher one day on PC, there'd be a lot less of a pushback if you already have a PSN account. I think that's the strategy behind this, a bigger picture. Obviously they know they are going to lose some sales because of this but will enough people resist making another account and not buy a game where it hurts Sony enough to reconsider their decision or will they cave in and just make another quick account?
One thing I've learned is that what people get outraged about on the internet often doesn't reflect reality and many will say one thing online and do another in reality.

That showcase was completely unentertaining and boring, they have 2 games coming out for the 2nd half of 2024.... one is giving of 3d Mario vibes(pretty cool imo) and the other game is like ordering guardians of the galaxy figurines off of Craig's list but you get those knock off dollar store toys instead

@@chrism8860 oh yes, god of war. The dad simulator where you press x to move a log. A friend of mine is a huge fan of the older games and refused to finish the new ones.
The biggest joke for me is spiderman 2. Game had a bunch of glitches and bugs game journalists blatantly ignored.
Which is funny because playstation fans were running their mouths about starfield non-stop prior to this.
Then you have the length of the game. Can be easily beaten over a weekend. Platinumed in 25 hours or so with about 4 hours of cutscenes. Which is absolutely pathetic for a so called 'open world' game.
You compare that to other open world games which have like 5x the amount of content.
Then you had all the social topics inserted into the game that went completely overboard.
To top it off they have the nerve to charge $70 for if. Meanwhile you can play assassins creed or starfield on a one month game pass subscription for a fraction of that price and potentially play other games too if you have the time.
That game had potential to be something special introducing the symbiote and was a massive let down. I have no interest in playing it. To call that game a masterpiece is a disgrace.

My man, as a PC Gamer, this State of Play was an absolute win. As a Linux gamer though, I'm quite pissed off that Sony is pushing the mandatory PSN Account subscription also for single player games. It will make me totally cut off from their games someday.

The Sony studios have kind of been supporters of the Steam Deck so I wouldnt be surprised if they come up with a way at some point. Heck Sony used to be pro Linux in the past.

One of the best about PC is being able to go back and enjoy old (retro) games you used to enjoy as kids. Us PC gamers got plenty of time to enjoy ourselves before any ports make it over.
That is one of the many luxury we have that we sometimes take for granted. Being able to play whatever game we want at any era. Once you go back to consoles you'll suddenly miss the backwards compatibility.

Hey, Alex! I've been watching you for over a year no, and i just love your content, even if i don't agree 100% on something. You're an endless soucre of common sense and entertainment, and I'm happy to have found you.
I've been a console gamer my whole life, with the one exception being for strategy games. Im not a fan boy I just find the process of building and upgrading computors daunting. I'm a console player out of convenience and laziness 😂 However between your videos and starting to learn what goes into pc's, I've convinced myself and some friends to fully switch to pc's by the end of this generation. We're never buying consoles again.

Spending $80 on day 1 game or goto Fanatical and buy 20 - 30 games with all DLC for same $80 on Steam. I have over 10,000 games 90% I have never played. But I have options. LOL You have 1 game I hope it's good.Then the Emulation..... I have Every ROM Up to Playstation 2. Every single ROM & they all play on my SteamDeck & Linux PC. Lutris, Heroic & Proton has made other platforms pointless.
What makes me laugh, is Sony announced a while back they were doubling down on live service games and have what 10 + in development?, you know the reason why they bought bungie to help them because they have alot of experience in the live service.

I agree that PC gamers won't bite. They are some of the most patient gamers when it comes to waiting for sales. They'll happily wait another year or 2 or 3 for a PC port to come. The only thing that makes sense in this strategy is you are basically exhausting the game's sales on PS5 first, then releasing on PC, which might get you some double dips and will ensure your console first strategy works.
Sony will only selectively do day and date on PC (basically for live service games), because whether it is correct or not, they do not believe that the day one PC sales will outweigh the loss of day one PS5 sales of the game. Remember they are operating on a traditional console model, that is they subsidize the console price in return for game sales. They are worried that those dual PS5/PC users will choose the PC version or pirate the PC version. I believe regardless of any other lies that come out their mouth, the real truth is, they simply want to as I said, exhaust the sales on PS5, then milk the PC fanbase afterwards.

Because of the forced PSN requirement with all of their titles, I won't be buying any of Sony's titles. It's clear that Sony is too hung up on their corporate greed. I'll stick with a service with actual benefits: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (aka. Poverty Pass or as I call it: THE best gaming subscription service). I can play fully remastered 4k 360 titles. I can play Xbox games on my phone (you don't even have to own a console! Even Hellblade 2 works on the phone!). Every Xbox Studio release is included upon release for $17 a month. Beat that Sony! And as for you Sony ponies ripping on Game Pass and saying it's ruining gaming and going to cause Xbox to close it all down.. LOL
