Hi everyone. Jo here, from the design Team, thanks so much for popping in.
In today’s Technique Tuesday, we are going to be using our gel press to create a couple of nice, simple backgrounds.
We have had so many crafters telling us that they just haven’t taken their gel press out if it’s box…so come and join me. Let us do it together.
I am sure once you have created one background you will want to make another, and another.

Those are lovely Jo... I noticed that a lot of people watch videos but don't bother commenting... it must be most disheartening for you... there are always beginners watching and learning and this is so useful... I love them and look forward to the cards you make... hope you show them...😊😍
Love the tip about not letting your brushes sit in water high enough to ruin the wood part.
Beautiful Jo. Thank you for showing some simple ways to use the Gel Press. What I have a problem with is What to stamp on it. I could see on the clean off piece the mountains and would be able to decide what to stamp. So, I look forward to seeing what you come up with for these designs. Thank you as always for sharing your tips. You are such an inspiration to watch and I love listening to you too Jo. You just have a way of explaining things you do that are so helpful.

I love my gel plates I agree they are addictive I do not have a circle this large but I could use these techniques on smaller shapes I do. I can not believe how few people gave you a thumbs up really super video I use a sheet of paper on both sides of my gel plates to keep them from marking from the packing sheets acetate learnt that the hard way.
You can't really fail, can you? It's beautiful!!!

Dear Jo, I am an avid follower of all your projects. One more beautiful than the one before and quite an inspiration. May I just suggest white background while you spray, bray and mix colours. It is a bit hard to see the whole process on the gray grid background...I just don't want to miss anything!

Thank you so much, Jo. I purchased as many shapes of gel presses as I could find. Then I packed them away since I've been planning to move for a year. Various delays and now which box holds my gel presses?? I'm waiting until I settle 1000km away from here. And I'm so grateful for this tutorial. I'll try both and clean with cardstock as you suggest for the shadow print. Take care. 💕🇨🇦
Thanks for another great video. I’ve got the squealer, boblong & Roland now. Took a lot of trial and error when I first got them, especially with the brushos, but I love the fact you always get something different and like you I love watching the patterns appear as you apply the pressure

Fabulous video Jo, and a fabulous idea about using your gel press on an acrylic plate. What size acrylic plate did you use for this please? Many thanks, I love your videos, always so calm and relaxing! And yes, I have a cheeky brew too🙂
Great tutorial thanks. Can you do one that makes the circles, I think it is with brushos. It looks like the Lavinia papers you buy.
You don't need to take off both pieces of plastic if you don't plan to turn it over and use it. Keep the back piece on while using so you can protect the gel and the surface you're working on.

My watered powders in these pots from Lavinia have dried out. I tried adding water but nothing happened :( Is it possible to leave them too long to save? Jo are you coming to the Stamperama show in Harrogate in spring?
Is that a special item to put your brusho in........ so I can order that anywhere.
