- Silhouette Thistle on a Gel Press and Stencil Background .
Hi everyone, Jo here again.
Thanks so much for joining me again. Today we are going to have a play with our Gel press, add some ink , our stencil and some water. Take a print and then add some stamping.
We will use some masks, Mica Minerals, and Pan pastel to add extra details.
We will also add extra stencil work to extend the design. This is just such a fun design.

Have really enjoyed this video Jo. You really take your time explaining and make the Gel press design look so easy. Why am I so frightened of having a go with it I don't know. I am definitely going to try this one. I will have to improvise with one or two things but I'm looking forward to having a go. Thank you Jo.
Just got my gel press Jo and watching this video has really given me the kick in the pants that I’ve needed! Jo, Thank you so much for doing this video for the Gel Press! I appreciate the tips you gave on how much ink to use. I believe the reason I wasn't getting the print was because I didn't have enough ink. I think I took it off with the Brayer. Excellent tip with the Stencil too. That adds so much to the design. All your tips with this Card were very helpful. You are such an inspiration!

I am always searching for Gel Press videos where the results are used in cardmaking. I don't really do the art journal thing but I really like using the Gel Press for backgrounds and enjoy seeing how others incorporate them into cards. I love your style so I subscribed. Another lovely card Jo... love the mica orbs and you chose my favourite colours for the background...😊... I also love the composition and the shading on the two sides of the square... makes all the difference... thank you for your tutorial...🤗❤️

Lovely cards Jo. I’ve searched on Lavinia website and a couple others and cannot find the Lavinia mica minerals in silver pearl. Is this a new product? It makes a brilliant orb design. Hugs

It is a material napkin….you just need a material that doesn’t shed bits on your stamps…xx
