These Mujina aka "Mimics" do a gesture and if you mimic this gesture he gives you his stuff without fighting^^ so don't attack the Mimics in nioh
I facepalmed so hard after he mimicked it correctly and then punched it before it could reward him
Also they can be identified before you open them visually (I'll let Myth discover the trick himself) or by whistling at the chest. Whistling allows to prevent the small hit at opening as the mujina opens it himself

If you whistle, the Mujina looks out of the chest all like „ah maaan, you got me“
Easy way to spot a mimic chest is to check the stripes on the corner of the chest itself. Normal chest have 2 stripes. A mimic will have 3.

@@f.p.2010 I'm sure we all have our own difficulties when it comes to these games, but I do have to strongly disagree here. In a single playthrough, I died around 400 times (the stats can tell you your death count) and only 1 of those was to Imagawa. My first atttempt against him, I was brutalised, killed almost immediately. However in my second attempt, I realised that he gets staggered by every hit. So I just stayed in and pounded him into submission, only retreating if I ran out of Ki after countless Ki pulses.
@@bradencosier80 have to agree with you there, killed all the bosses after many deaths but this guy got steamrolled the first try, one of the easiest I reckon, just a normal human enemy who shoots lightning sometimes tbh
@@f.p.2010 I know it's all based on personal pref, but I found Imagawa the easiest. Just pressure him and he dies so fast.
He can be quite challenging if you're not agressive enough and get hit by his lighting

When your facing those mimics don’t attack them, they will emote and if you do the same emote then they will give you loot
There's an ability in the Shiftling tree that helps with stamina regen in dark and yokai zone.

I find multiplayer makes the levels harder but the bosses easier when I play .
Chests with 3 bands on the sides are mimics! Whistle and copy the emote they do for free loot

If you do the same emote as the mimic he will drop the items, you almost got it but you didn't let him leave and attacked him...

Here's how you identify and deal with mimic chests: when you see a chest with 3 bands on the side instead of 2, do the whistle emote next to it, then mimic the emote it does.
There is a milestone/title for killing 10 so kill at least that much.
Nioh 2 tips and or tricks
Try to match the guardian spirit with a soul core of the same color.
If the guardian spirit is a brute yokai form....equip red soul core...same wirh the other two.
Doing that it will slightly increase the power of you soul core attacks
You can fuse soul cores to make them stronger and even change their color to match them woth the yokai transfotmation.. (to change atribute/color you have to fuse the soul core with a soul core from other colot that has no stats on it )
you can do this at the shrine.
You can also change appearance of you gear at the blacksmith and then selecting refashion.
Now i can have dinner with proper entertainment
MythyMoo, love what you do , started subscribing through the dishonored playthrough (my fav game), and are you gonna do the dlc + dishonored 2 gameplay soon? The dlcs provide a lot of insight to the game itself and is interwined so it's waay better to play the dlc for the first game too , love it
The boss quality in this game is pretty good.
The mimic chest is designed so that if you do the exact emote it's doing you can get the loot without fighting it. Just to let you know!
This boss wouldn't be hard for Runt from Chicken Little: Ace in Action. He has a tank.

If you look at the chest closely you can see some have 2 golden strips on the side, those are the real ones and the ones with 3 golden strips have the mimics, if you are not sure you can whistle when near a chest this will make the mimic get out of the chest
Really wish you would have finished the first game. That way you can appreciate how much this has improved over the original.

you don't have to kill the little guy that comes out of the chest after it transforms into you it'll do an emote and if you do the same emote it'll peacefully fade and drop you the loot

This is a game recommendation and message that I will spam until you acknowledge it. I think you should play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. It's different from the other Pokemon games you have been playing, but it is AMAZING! The story is incredible and you will love the music. The gameplay, even though it is different from "normal" Pokemon games, is really fun too.
