"Dawn of a Dream" achievement, I really hope that's an Onimusha reference, especially since Nioh is the closest thing we have to Onimusha in the modern game industry.

There is no other game out there right now that has the amount of re-play value this game has. Probably one of the most underrated games of all time imo. I've put over 1,000 hours into nioh 2 and im still finding myself trying new builds, new ways of fighting enemies and combos. its actually nuts.

So, I actually love magic in this game, and magic early on is actually great for applying buffs to weapons.
And late game magic is OP as F with a good build :)
Yeah you actually need a lot of magic talismans and magic stat point to survive at the endgame

Really wish you would have finished the first game. That way you can appreciate how much this has improved over the original.
This game is so underrated
Hey myth I just wanted to let you know when you level up try and level up more than one point at the time for a category, you can get extra bonuses for your character. And can’t wait for more ep of this :)
Brute is the easiest to parry with, imo at least, while the purple one is probably the hardest, but using brute usually means you'll take damage during the attack, while the purple one if you hit it is completely safe, while blue is a little down the middle, this is all my opinion but I hope it helps a bit
Feral’s hardest for me tbh, I don’t have the knee-jerk reaction for brute. Phantom is probably the best for when you can Time it to right before you get hit.
When I did my playthroughs I switched depending on the enemy or boss. I ended up using Brute the most because my aggessive playstyle and was able to react quickly. But for some enemies Brute will make you take too much damage so I've used Feral 2nd most. Phantom isn't bad a lot of people use it I just never did
Feral is really good for animation canceling though. Honestly the best one defensively.
@@Eclipse-bi8zy For purely animation canceling Phantom is the best one, it has the shortest animation (very good offensively try out casting spells with it). I agree though that Feral is best defensively and personal favorite since you don't have to worry about getting your guard broken when you cancel.
Words of wisdom: if you’re in medium or better armor, blocking is actually pretty good in this game. Don’t worry too much about builds unless you’re going ng+, every weapon/style is at least pretty good(switchglaive is life though). Have fun!

Mythymoo i love you for playing one of my fav games here is some tips for when you play:
1. Your "Core Stats" are linked to your to damage, health, ki, etc. Upgrading your "magic" stat will upgrade your damage with the switchglaive and boosting the effect of Onmyo Magic. When u are at the map where you can choose missions, click the touchpad/ or try to pull up the menu, if you go over to status and click the start button descriptions of each Core Stat is listed.
2. Onmyo Magic is OP, if you continue with your current build you'll see why eventually.
3. You earn skill points for each class of weapons and magic by using that weapon/magic. so in order to unlock more magic you have to use it in the game.
4. Weapons/Armor come in rarity starting from white, yellow, blue, purple, (green?) (Green was in the first one so not sure lol) Choose the best one for you. There may be times where the rarity is high (purple) but the lower rarity (blue or whatever) better fits the needs of the mission. Same goes with armor. There are sets in the game that give you bonuses.
5. Guardian Spirits all have different "Yokai Forms" When u do a burst counter. Brute, Feral, & Phantom. I personally like Feral and Phantom the best, they each have different timings for burst counters so play around with them. Burst Counters is a counter, for everyone but mostly the Yokai, when the enemy glows red as seen in 6:30 as they are about to hit you, that's when u do the burst counter. R2+ O (Circle)
6. Coop, The best part of the game imo, The game gets harder the more people in the world. (Up to 3 player coop) When you start you'll have a blue bar, Bascially you will all share that bar for deaths. when u die the bar goes down. When its completely empty the mission is over and you'll have to start all the way over. gotta get good. if u happen to lose your blue bar and want to get some back youll need to clear a Yokai Realm as seen in 17:20 and youll get some of the bar back.
7. That may be everything youll need to know if not (Some can comment below) youll need to figure it out on your own. if not you are always free to message me on twitter if needing anything. @AyeitsDevo (Prob seen me tweet at you a couple times lol) Could always play with u and may whenever he gets it

Magic in Nioh is really OP. I love it.
This game will open up much more after you master Burst Counter, it's awesome parry mechanic (wasn't in Nioh 1). Can't wait to see your full playthrough :)

Little advice, ki is key, ya wanna really maintain that throughout combat because a lot of these enemies can just pile drive through you ki so quickly.

Hey Myth, I don't want to be mean or something, but I have a tip for you:, your yokai type's burst counter works like a parry, similar to dark souls parry. If you press at the right moment, it will successfully counter the enemy's burst attack. I hope you find this useful, and awesome video!
Gonna actually pre order this game today played through the first one twice and also played the demo back on PS4 glad to see the game still looks amazing, can't wait to get in and play

Played this game for a good 500+ hours on PS4/ps5. I have a feeling you’ll like it. The game is rough early on but you really ramp up the power as you go.
It’s possible to unlock flash attacks which let you switch weapons on Ki pulse mid combo, and on switchglaive there are skills that are attacks that transfer between stances mid combo seamlessly, like the changing of stances is an attack. It is incredibly smooth and feels badass to have flow together
Switchglaive 100% best weapon type in this game. Magic build is amazing with
Mythy you can break a yokai's horns by hitting their head in upper stance it staggers them for a bit
So I would advise you to get the switchglave skills that change your stance and can cancel alot of animations also burst counters are moves that flash red

Courage is better than heart in the early game, courage speeds up your ki recovery speed, heart mostly increases the amount of ki you have but you still get that ki back slower than having more courage
Courage also buffs magic which is great for splitstaff and scythe users.

finally playing the second one but when will you finish the first?
I played through the base game with my bff so a fair warning: playing co-op gives you a sort of lives-timer that drains whenever someone is downed and if it drains completely outside of a boss fight the mission fails and you're booted back to the lobby and have to restart the whole level again--- shortcuts will re-lock as well.
Otherwise, it's a really pretty game with really fun gameplay.

I just want to say, you can counter red attacks to knock enemies down. Also, dashes have i-frames as well amd the "circle" stance isn't an actual stance it's really just use for a few abilities and sheathing your sword. Also, you can sacrifice old weapons for money and rice. Have fun!

Hey I remember that time you tried to rush through all the main missions of Nioh 1 only boosting the Body stat and quitting for some silly reason.
This’ll be a good series to watch! Although, I’d only do coop to help your friend through it. Coop makes this game a walk in the park even more than in dark souls. I only used coop once in my first playthrough, and that was only for a DLC boss that was reused which I didn’t feel like grinding out a flawless battle for (I’m not great at this game, last I checked, I had over 530 deaths on my save file)
It hurts seeing him get all the bonus stuff I missed.
Like the cat costume and the golden armor along with all the demon horse stuff. They should really have made that stuff permanent and it pisses me off that they put so much stuff in a limited time event.

Myth do the dojo training mission! They give u a good training on mechanics of the game and also good rewards
