For anyone who might be interested: I just got the achievement with this method, and it even works if you quit the game and come back later. Apparently if you quit, the hidden timer that counts down to 3 hours freezes until you resume your save. Thank you, noisecross, for this video! It's a really genius method.
just wanted to add a final note to this. I used your method and to my surprise all the NPC quest lines worked normally without issue. thank you once agin.

Good on you! The Mourning area is absolutely terrible and makes this guide quite mute to be honest, most players will not be able to survive it this early in the game. DLC is nuts, the damage in that place is way too much in NG+ without health and flasks. For this reason only the best of players will be able to do it. meh.

wow, pure genius .... Im now on august 2023 on PS5 playing PS4 version of Blasphemous and I got the trophy. Just a tip: in the red platform part, I just pressed O more than 1 time just after the ledge and I finally get to the platform

Still works perfectly as of May 2024. The increased fervor regen from the penitence is very nice to have. Got this in about 30 minutes following this guide.

HUUUUGE LIKE, i was only needing this for platinum and i would do it legit way cus you can do it pretty easy in about 1:30 hours with generous 3 hour mark but i just finished game with all endings and all dlc i was not in mood for that so i said i would do it later, then i looked if there is speedrun of some sorts to help with it and then i googled your video which was instant click cus i was curious and voila it was on point and i did just about same with little bit more dying and roughly about 50ish minutes to about hour so it was worth it in end, every strategy,every detailed is just what you needed and it worked, thnx again.

After failing to get Bronze Medal on True Torment the normal way because of freaking Tres Angustias which walled me for nearly two hours (I had to fight without flasks because of Requiem Aeternam + I was on Penitence of Unwavering Faith), I thought I've had enough and decided to do the skip on my third playthrough. 😂
I just did this. The genius use of the mechanics and prayers/moves was super fun and this is a really cool route. It took 45 mins and only a few deaths (on a NG+ file that was almost maxed out in NG). Thx again!
Dude, you're the best. also i finally got the ladder to drop by using maxed weight of sin on the statue to the left of the box, but this was after hitting it with a few spells

Just got the achievement using this. I'd like to add a few small adjustments first under your relics I'd equip the one that negates slow movement on surfaces for faster times.
A good trick is to while in front of a shrine you can stab yourself until you get full FP then rest it's quicker than waiting.
second I'd recommend using the rosary that electrifies the air and makes our sword shoot projectiles when you use a flask at 20:19 to speed up killing that creature massively theirs also a version of the rosary that grants the same effect on execution.
this one likely won't work because of your penance reducing blade damage but I had started my run prior to finding your video and didn't take a penance so I could kill the lightning casters in Morning and Havoc this difference saved my run. I wonder if you could kill them even with the weakened sword arm? I used the rosary that regenerates fervour passively from completing the challenge that you took to compensate for the lack of fervour regen.
the hallway at 19:55 doesn't require a tango use just run under them and when they turn to face you to stab dash and you can get though it easily.

You are absolutely right. The relics I use are sub-par for a time attack and I make a lot of mistakes during the course.
The purpose of the video is to show that the path is viable, but if at any time I try to speedrun it, I'll surely follow the indications you mention. Thank you!
I did it with the penance that gives you fervour flasks, since I'm aiming for the Requiem Aeternam achievement as well. Since they are Fervour flasks, I'm less prone to click them. My strategy on Mourning and Havoc was using Tiento to your Thorned Hairs so I could stand near the lightning casters and kill them. It is also very useful for dodging the lightnings balls! Since you have Fervour flasks, no waiting between casts, saving a lot of time.
Since you have used Reliquary of Fervent Heart, it means you did your run in NG++?

I'm truly thankful to you for providing this guide. I applied your method and I was completely afraid of not doing it on time. Mourning and havoc was indeed the zone I was terrified of due to the idea I was going to die there, but after paying attention to your guide, it only took me one attempt to get through the area and head to Mother of Mothers. Apparently it only took me about 25 minutes.
But I have an issue. The achievement was only shown by the game, but not by the console (Xbox). Is it necessary to get through the bronze door after beating the three bosses?

One can use Zatabands of the Safe Haven as a prayer. Helps a lot to get through the hard part

I thought that blood jump was bad until you get to mourning and havoc 😂 btw you can actually use blood attack twice on that fall (using it twice made landing easier if anyoje struggling)
And also worth mentioning you kinda need to have the fervor regen bead from penitence of faith. So you can spam Tiento to your Thorned Hairs for mourbing and havoc.
I would just let my fervor refill at the start of each new cut so i can use the invuln prayer 2 or even 3 times to sneak through…anyway that was my experience but got the medal thanks to you!
Oh ya…once you get past the cistern its not so bad bc the prieu deus become more frequent…after the fervor increase at cistern…you can spend a bit more time climbing up and open the path to albero…helps so you dojt have to run the whole cistern if you die.
Ofc i did this run on the penitence of guilt so i had no healing flasks 😂 def made it a bit trickier without being able to heal

I showed this on a save where the ladder is already down, because I don't have time to create a new save right now. But I'm sure it works, because I've done it in every one of my runs.

It pops up at 22:33. It is the Switch version so the window is in the middle top of the screen and says "Medalla de bronce - Logro desbloqueado" which means "Bronze medal - Unlocked achievement" in Spanish.

I want to try this but I still have to get Ending C (the one from Wounds of Eventide DLC), do you know if opening the bronze from the other end voids this questline?
At 11:32 you can go upstairs and visit the tomb of Perpetva to get the Incomplete Scalpular, even if you haven't fought her yet.
After that, you should be able to talk to Esdras and give it to him long after you get the achievement. If you notice, the Bronze Door remains closed at 22:47, because you need to interact with Esdras prior to open it (and defeating the first three bosses to get Esdras on the bridge, of course)

I accidentally deleted my old main save and I had to redo the entirety of my previous save and even further than I've done in the past, so I've used up all the strength I have gathered left in my mentality, therefore I do not have the strength nor the willpower to carry on. True Torment is more than enough guilt for me to keep pushing through
