After that just use the emote that the mimic uses for free loot :) Use blue/yellow emotes when you find secret walls. They calm the walls down and make them vanish. Pretty neat That's all I can think of right now
By pressing Y and B at the same time while using your living weapon, you can trigger a special attack! Also, you should try using other stances, sometimes some bosses are weak to one of them, for example nué is weak to lower stance because u can strike his glowing belly part with it which causes him to fall then you can hit him multiple times! And one last tip : later in the game you will encounter "Wall yokais" literally, a wall with glowing eyes, you can kill them, but if you use a gesture (a nice one, like bowing) they will disappear and you will access rooms with chests that contains good loot or a hot spring! You will also encounter racoons if you mimic their gesture they will give u loot! 😁
follow up on the Wall Yokai: It's not nice gesture or rude, but: There're 3 types of gestures in the game by the color (Red Blue Yellow) and each Wall will be happy with 1 random type and not happy with 2 other. So you try one out of the 3 color (any gesture in that color is fine) and if it's not happy you have 1 more try with different color before it start attacking. It's 66% chance so, you'll probably get majority of them.
Mythy There's elemental buffs for weapons, bosses have weaknesses to them and they give enemies certain debuffs Fire - burn Lightning - slow(really good) Water - lowers defense Wind - lowers attack Earth - enemy takes double ki damage !! If you manage to give them any of the two elemental debuffs at the same time they get a debuff called ''Chaos'' that brings their ki to 0 and prevents them from regaining ki until it runs out. Also important to know, if the ki is red, you go ham on them, you can stagger anything that has 0 ki, no matter how big the boss Check your gears effects, you got armor before the Nue fight that gives lightning resistance iirc, same thing with Hino-Enma(paralysis resistance armor).
I enjoy that on every Nioh vid someone points out how Myth is leveling heart while using a strenght weapon and how he doesn't seem to give a shit about it

The gestures can be used against certain yokai that look like walls. You can either smack them up or you can use an emote at them,they’ll randomly choose one of the colors(red,yellow or blue) but if you guess right(you get 2 guesses) they’ll let you by without a fight and drop their loot.

There's 2 types of ki in Nioh, Green which is just stamina. And the purple yokai ki, which doesn't refill unless it uses the grey mist circles, when it's purple bar is empty it can be staggered by any attack, so use it to combo them.
Be mindful that elemental attacks (Such as Nue's Lightning based attacks) all have their own corresponding status effects. Fire = damage over time, Water = takes more physical damage, Earth = takes more Ki (stamina) damage, Lightning = slows movement speed and attack speed, and Wind = lowers attack power and block capability. If you manage to stack 2 of these effects or more the enemy gets affected by a unique condition that just does a lot: Yokai stagger with every attack taken. When the status is applied to humans they become severely slowed and recover Ki much more slowly. All enemies take more damage while the status is in effect. Also, all of these conditions can be applied to you as well, so be careful!
For yokais, when their ki bar is red they will flinch when attacked so use that to your advantage, but be careful cause they will retaliate after some hits with a ki recovering attack.
I dont know if you'll see this Mythy, but: Just look around the area before going to a boss, and check your itens. Some maps, have a acessory with resistance against the said area's boss element(for example, this one, I think there's a amulet with lightning resistance. That spider-boss one too had one too) If not, you probably have one from previous maps or doing secondary quests
If you see a wall with eyes and do the right colour gesture then it will peacefully go away rather than fight you, they're like dark souls illusionary walls but thicc
TIPS: Go online and fight revenants. You won't be invaded like in souls games and they drop better loot while still being normal revenant AI Side missions are pretty worth because some of them let you re-fight harder versions of bosses or new bosses entirely Going through the dojo is super worth because it also has special bosses. (These bosses you'll fight later in the game but essentially the more you use a certain weapon type then the closer you'll be to fighting some people that are masters of that weapon type) The last tip I mentioned is a good reason to try different weapon types. They're almost all really good (Tonfa is kinda ass)
Just a heads up that with living weapon if you use the command to active it again you can cast the magic associated with the Living Weapon. Also be sure to use elemental damage later on. If you aren't aware you can cause enemies and bosses to enter the state Confusion. Confusion is caused when an enemy is effected by 2 elements.
If u use elemental buffs and apply 2 status it makes it so enemies cannot recover ki so u can just own them ALSO there is a skill u can get slow tags from which is basically easy mode for the game

6 or 15 heart is enough for NG. You need 10 spirit asap to unlock your guardian spirit bonus. At least 10 body is recommended. After that, focus on stamina and strength. Also use high stance.
Grats on beating the midboss for this level Myth. Now, I have quite a few tips for you for Nioh so strap on in! Tips are Below, they're the 3 biggest tips I can give to you that I believe will help you a bunch. I hope you don't take 2 weeks to play this again and not remember any of these. 1: Bosses in this game are quite fast, while I see you like using the Odachi and there is nothing wrong with it, I suggest trying to get some proficiency in the dual swords you also have so that your not stuck with a single weapon and can switch depending on the bosses. Human fights are usually best with faster ones since they're normally quick themselves. Not to mention this will be a nice change of pace, given all the skill points you have yet to spend which you could spend on more skills and just overall make you stronger. 2: Living Weapon is very OP as you have noticed, however be careful about getting hit when your in it. The more your hit during living weapon the less time you'll have during it. I believe by upgrading your spirit (Stat and also by leveling it up in the shrine menu by feeding it Amrita) you'll gain a longer Living Weapon as a result, I may be wrong on this though since I haven't played Nioh for a few years. 3: Do the Sub Missions. Sub missions in this game, once you complete them can sometimes unlock secret missions that otherwise wouldn't appear, said missions can give quite the difficult boss fight that will then reward you with a lot of good stuff. There is 1 boss fight mission in this zone that is probs one of my most favorite fights in the game, and was personally one of the fights that taught me to play this game. I suggest doing sub missions either in off time and giving a small quick minute montage of what you did in those if you dont think they're worthy enough for a video, leaving main missions for the videos, but its up to you man. I just suggest doing them because they'll give lots of good gear to further upgrade you, give you amrita to help level you and your spirit up, and also give you completion, as some zones can't be unlocked till you have a certain amount of completion in another zone.
Myth you get a like because of that Kimetsu no Yaiba reference 👍. Good shit! Also this is what I like to see, suffering and triumph over seemingly insurmountable odds... This is why I want you to ditch the partner on Code Vein xD. Loved the video, definitely more Nioh! P. S. Bosses have stamina as well that depletes only when you hit them or they do a devastating attack. Once it's depleted (the bar flashes red) that's always the best time to use your living weapon and go ham because the boss will stagger with every hit until they regain their stamina. I love the Nioh because you can't just dump all your levels into hit points and power through all the damage, you actually have to learn how to fight them. Nue is probably one of the easiest bosses in the game. Also Myth, if you want to be a true dodgy guy keep your armour weight under 30 (shown at the top of the screen). Putting stats increases the amount of weight you can wear before you reach the 30 thresh hold.

late game don't worry about being underleveled, i'm sure you will be, but most of players finish this game about 40 lvl under recommended mission lvl XD And research ninjutsu and magic skill tree you can get more healing capacity, healing spell and other really good things also also you can change how armor looks in blacksmith shop so you can keep better stats and still look cool also also also mimic in this game are really different if you find mimic chest it'll start to use gestures, mimic his gestures and he'll give you items for free, or just attack him xD
Also be sure too look close at walls you may think are suspicious, they'll have eyes, when you find one you can either gesture at it and hope you use the right type or attack it
Are you ever gonna come back to Nier? Cuz it's such a great game, but I understand if not, considering you need to play beat it 4-5 times for the complete ending and that's a HUGE time sink, I would still love to see you go back to it though
I'm on my why to trying to finish Nioh before the public demo of the sequel drops on Nov.1st to the 10th I'm stuck on "Greater demon hunting" I think that's the name of the sub-mission,but any why probably go on to the next mission on come back after I lvl up past 70 .
he has a lot of heart level ups... and he has the opposite weapons. heart needs sword... strength for long sword and axe, skill for dual sword... amazing he still kills enemies with wrong stats lmao
Nue probably kicked my ass 25+ times until I got him down, he is one of the trickiest bosses in the game to get the rhythm/hang of, I think, even after completing the game.
Half the time i use cheap tricks like the mega horoku dama ni jurtsu thing for bosses esp3cially for the ice boss later i legit just spammed bombs reloaded them through shinobi box then just did that again

Quick tip; when you take a hit try to guard against the follow up attack instead of dodging. Guarding is essential in this game.
