Hi! I am a huge fan of yours from Finland You should try finnair business class from us to Finland or the other way around. Finnair Offers shorthoul servise on flightsto middle east!
Just Keep In mind that This Flight is Classified as an "European" flight and priced as such, hence less ammenities and meal options than a long haul flight would have in business.
Finnair has changed their service in all classes. On all long haul flights, there is only one meal option "to limit foodwaste". Vegan, kosher etc meals can be ordered in advance and that's about it for the meal selection.
Hello Mr. Trek, it's so good to see a new content. Since I'm disabled and can't get out anymore, you have become my eyes to see things I will never be able to. Thank You so much.
Nice video. Finnair does not offer the full business class product on these flights. Upgrade from economy is only 10K points, whereas to upgrade proper long-haul flights (Asia, US) is 50K points. The service is the same as on narrow-bodies within Europe.
Thanks for the great review of our national airline! I have some thoughts though, and facts to explain some situations. I took this exact same flight in Business Class last week, and everything seemed the same. During boarding, when it’s ”gate open” on the departure board, it’s not really boarding but calling you to gate, and at the gate atleast I had a Business passenger ”waiting room”, so when actual boarding commenced I could be the first to board among other biz passengers. Now, the flight itself is actually categorized as a European flight by Finnair. Usually they use an A321 for this route, but now due to demand and ”leftover” A350s they fly the big boy on this route, also means no necessary stop in Hurghada. While this categorization is odd in my opinion it is what it is, and that’s why only one meal option etc. It does also mean however it’s possible to upgrade from Eco to Business for just 10K Finnair Plus points, instead of the 50K for long-haul flights;) Btw, speaking from experience always use the frontmost loo, it’s spacier and has a window unlike the middle business loo :) Anyway, despite everything I hope you enjoyed the flight, and when COVID is gone it’d be interesting to see your new opinions about longhaul flying with AY! Edit: One more thing I forgot to mention about the masks, Finnair updated their policy a few months ago banning fabric masks (only surgical/FFP2 masks withiut valves allowed) so that’s why you had to change it
Sweet video! The reason there was no menu is because they market the service from Dubai as a “longer European route” and not a long haul. So say if you flew that seat to the US you would’ve gotten a menu
Finnair is my favorite of all. Since flying Finnair I even ended up buying for my home the very same glassware that is used in business. Also, the face creams that are used in the amenity kit. Finnair introduced me to these two great products.

Interesting to see this. I've flown Finnair long haul Business class two months ago, and I'm provided with two menus, one for food and the other for drinks. The meal (lunch) is served course by course, with two options for main and dessert.

Based on what you saw at the gate when you arrived and the fact that business class was almost full when you boarded, I wonder if they called for business boarding before your arrival at the gate and then used that lane for economy after all present business class passengers boarded. Still, you should have been able to go to the front. Similarly, by chance were menus handed out to those already in their seats and they accidentally missed you? I have never seen a long-haul business class flight with no choice of main unless they have run out. I've flown Finnair several times and my experience was far superior to yours.
It is intra-European service on these Dubai flights, same as on narrow bodies. European business class meals are now one option only since mid-pandemic.
I did grab another one, but I should definitely have complained about that! Sometimes when I'm filming I get wrapped up in the moment. The lack of menu's is so strange! Thanks for watching :)
I flew Finnair a few weeks ago and also didn't know about the menu. I was in economy and one of my meals had beef. Had to reject it but thankfully the crew had an unused fish meal someone ordered but didn't eat... Lucky me? But it's strange to not have any option for food.
you looked up the handwash brand, but not the fish dish? It was pickled herring, a common dish from Scandi and Nordic countries. It might be better for you to get a bit of the culture of the various nations' carriers rather than just collect names like the old football stickers; that way you'd likely be able to provide a better understanding of the offering.
Can I ask if the PCR you took in Dubai works for both legs of the flight? Or would you have to take another one at Helsinki before continuing on to London? Would it be any different between needing/not needing to check in yourself for the second flight? I'll be embarking on a trip from Singapore to Toronto through Dubai soon! Thanks in advance!
Interesting changes, maybe one day you will be able to review them, when they are back with full service. But for the price, those are just minor things.

There were some in that Business Class cabin that paid full price. Imagine how disappointed they must have been. Really surprised to see how poor Finnair's service was.
Yeah I agree, it really doesn't matter to me that he got a good price b/c others that had the same experience paid a lot. Yes, it is a privilege to be able to do that but it may just be someone's once in a lifetime trip as well.
I am little late but this flight is not categorised as a Long haul flight in Finnairs register, even when it is served by a big plane and the flight time is beetween 6-8h. So this is a short haul service mostly and thats why, but its a bad one compared to other Finnair business flights i have seen.
Not bad for $350. 8 hours, fully lie flat seat. metal cutlery, yes you got a standard meal but for $350 not bad at all. Wish you would inform if there was wifi and how the entertainment system was.
Hi, agian a very nice review. Could you do make some airport reviews? In my opinion Helsinki Vantaa and Seoul Incheon are the most lean and easy airport to transmit. Greetings, Dominik.
I'm strongly attracted to the idea of Flying Business class with Finnair - and their glassware is much more of a pull-factor than I would have throught possible. But the food on this particular flight was sub-standard.
Great video as always. I think for the price paid it was a good value for the dollar however if I was one of those paying full price I would not have been very happy although with the number of children in the cabin I guess that there were not many who paid the full price?
09:00 You find a cookie a cop-out for dessert? Okay, on my first flight on your "hometown" carrier, Virgin Atlantic (1998 from LAX), I was offered "cheese & biscuits" as a dessert. I told the cute FA that cheese & biscuits are not a dessert and she indicated, it is not so much a biscuit as it is a cracker. It is confusing for me; if it is a cracker, call it a cracker. Either way it is not dessert. To which she said, "we also have Häagen-Dazs". You have the world's best ice cream, and you are peddling cheese and bland crackers? This is why Brit food has the reputation it deserves. Another splendid video. Ciao
You paid a economy class fare for a business class ticket. You sat in the business class cabin but the food and service were not much better than economy. If I were you and this happened to me my video about the flight would criticise Finnair severely. The flight was cheap to buy and the overall experience was also cheap. Maybe for another day try paying a higher price for a Finnair ticket and compare the two experiences. Does paying Finnair more get you a better Class of service.? I wonder?
Definitely a few surprises here… left me feeling a little ‘cold’ about Finnair. Would you consider Helsinki to Dubai in business or does the offer only work in reverse? Thanks for sharing 🤙

I think you forgot to publish the polish airlines review after the Sukhoi super jet experience
Just seen Bloomberg announce a new cabin for Singapore Airlines. Will you take us on board for an impartial view?
Nice video! Where do you book your flights?
AF's lounge 2E gate L has a sauna too
Was there no menu listed in the IFE? That's the only other place I'd assume to look to see what was offered.
Wow, definitely not the best experience, but for the price… 😅
Please try SAS Scandinavian Airlines to Norway Will!
Yah. Cuz I want to try a sauna in the deserts of the Middle East . Wh not just step outside the terminal for 15 minutes?
From what I see is horrible for a premium cabin from the food to the service but I love watching you
09:00 You find a cookie a cop-out for dessert? Ciao
How did the connection to LHR go? Did you have to go landside at HEL to get your boarding pass?
I absolutely love your videos. So entertaining.
Thank you so much!
@@Trektrendy can you make your videos longer? They are just to good 👍
Can you pls do a Dubai holiday that would be amazing
You paid a economy class fare for a business class ticket. You sat in the business class cabin but the food and service were not much better than economy. If I were you and this happened to me my video about the flight would criticise Finnair severely. The flight was cheap to buy and the overall experience was also cheap. Maybe for another day try paying a higher price for a Finnair ticket and compare the two experiences. Does paying Finnair more get you a better Class of service.? I wonder?
0:21 not quite obviously. finnair might as well be a regional airline for finnMARK!
6:40 I'm jealous af to these kids lol
Nice kicks! What's the model name of those Tims? Thanks for the video.
Love your videos and those shoes may I ask what Timberlands are they?
Don’t think I’ll be flying Finair anytime soon!
Definitely a few surprises here… left me feeling a little ‘cold’ about Finnair. Would you consider Helsinki to Dubai in business or does the offer only work in reverse? Thanks for sharing 🤙
