LUXURIOUS Lufthansa 747 FIRST CLASS *Incredible Experience!*

  • I'm onboard Lufthansa’s incredible First Class for 12 hours! This is perhaps one of the most epic aviation experiences of my life, not only because of how inaccessible Lufthansa’s First Class is (with tickets costings upwards for $8000!) but being on board the 747, in the nose. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to be sitting in front of the pilots onboard this flight!
    Lufthansa is one of only three airlines operating the 747-8 commercially. And given the last year it’s increasingly hard to get onboard one. Both BA and KLM has canned the use of their planes (albeit older versions) but Lufthansa is still operating their new 747s on a handful of routes.
    I'm stating my journey today in London where I need to fly over to Frankfurt to catch the Queen of the Skies. In usual times Lufthansa provide access to their First Class terminal, entirely dedicated to First Class passengers. What's more this involves being driven across the tarmac to your flight in a Porsche!

    YES! I love Lufthansa! Their attention to detail is fantastic, the lounge is nice (when open), great food, comfy seats, and their FAs have always been so kind and attentive. It’s classy. They give you a first class EXPERIENCE that makes the cost of the ticket worth it. Cannot recommend them enough.

      Absolutely agreed, I think its one of the few remaining old school First Class products. Not the bling of Emirates but the class and refinement of luxurious travel. I need to go back to experience the terminal next month when it reopens.

      Yup. I like Emirates, don’t get me wrong, but there’s a timelessness to Lufthansa. If Emirates is an Instagram model, Lufthansa is Audrey Hepburn.

Can’t wait to see more. Well done young man. Thanks for all of the entertainment, information, and humor. It’s been quite the journey thus far. Enjoying you from Mexico City. Hi, Will. Great review. The 747 is my all time favorite aircraft and the 747-8i is truly the top of the line. What a beautiful bird. I tend to expect an enclosed suite, especially in First Class international but this Lufthansa cabin seemed to be satisfactory as there were so many unoccupied seats. I get a weird feeling trying to sleep if I know that people can look at me. 🤣 The food service was impressive and I am glad that you were able to enjoy such a premium champagne 🍾. Hope you had an enjoyable time in Mexico. Take care and I will be eagerly awaiting your next vlog. 🤗❤🛫🙏🌎

    Having flown LH first class though Frankfurt prior to pandemic, it was amazing. That said, there is No way I would ever pay to fly first class with closed First class lounges, no transport to the plane, and no food in senator lounges, and having to wear a mask, unless it was deeply, deeply discounted. Why has COVID become the worldwide excuse for piss poor customer service at full fare price??!

    • @Trektrendy
      @Trektrendy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      At present Lufthansa only operate their First Class on their 747. Pre pandemic they ran this on their A380 and A340's. Usually whilst you cant guarantee a specific plane, I'd watch flightradar24 and work out if a plane is run consistently on a route I want to fly.

    Considering I have always travelled heavy with backpack purse, carry-on and 2 big checked bags, I set a challenge for myself when I was planning to travel for 10 days to France with only my carry-on. I researched and found blogs where there was advice on how and what to pack and SURPRISINGLY I did it! I could have even eliminated a couple of tops, but that's ok... I wore them. After that trip I definitely have travelled lighter... and it's a good thing.

    Way back in the dark ages, well 1983 to be exact, I was flying on a sardine standby ticket from Buffalo, NY to Sydney, AUS. A long story was involved as to why I as doing that flight, but that is another story.
    When I got to LAX I was informed that I would have to wait to see if any space was available on the Sydney flight. Later on I was called to the service desk and was told there was only one seat left, but it was first class... 'Do I have to pay more?' I asked, 'No' they said! I jumped at the chance. That was the first and last time I have ever flown first class, now if only I had the money to do that all the time, it was an eye opener for a pleb like me, they fell all over me, offering lots of goodies etc, I suppose they didn't know I was flying on a sardine standby ticket...

    Yes, I am a woman who is not interested in travelling with lots of luggage. I could easily manage one week and one cabin-sized suitcase. That having been said, I prefer to stay in comfortable accommodation so places where I wouldn’t be expected to carry my own bathing toiletries, morning gowns, blow dryer etc… if someone is staying in a motel and they need all these, I understand why more luggage becomes necessary including an iron, multiple changes of clothes due to lack of access to laundry services etc…

    Which miles you bought and how you got them? Do you have a blog where you explain frequent travel programs and how to get bargains with miles?
