If you follow music, albums were big, Boston's production was a brand new sound, I don't know if it still ranks that high, but it was one of the best selling albums in history...if you listen to Foreigner's debut album, same thing: all great songs with insane production

This album came out when I was a freshman in high school. Yes I am old. The point is that it was revolutionary. No one had ever heard a sound like it. Still have the album and have never tired of it. Boston, Aerosmith, Kansas, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Deep Purple, The Who, Van Halen, Foreigner, Grand Funk Railroad, BTO, Montrose, and the list goes on. There will never be an era like that again. All Rock 'n Roll titans.

Boston Dont look back was my first album ever. My folks were slightly upset because, my aunt gave it to me on Christmas eve, but my parents had gotten me my first stereo, ... which they didnt give me till the following day, for Christmas, so basically it ruined the surprise, NOT! Anyway, that next day I got the stereo, and the 2nd album I ever had, Rush 2112! FYI, the stereo had AM/FM, turntable AND 8 TRACK! lololol
I got into VH, AC/DC, JETHRO TULL, TED NUGENT, ....and then i discovered METAL \M/ !!! It was straight up Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest from then on, for what seemed like an eternity! Then Quiet Riot hit, then Motley Crue, ...and then the whole world changed once again when metallica and megadeth came on the scene. At 16 we started a garage band, I was a singer. But then the next year I bought my first guitar. Started playing Priest and maiden tunes, then yngwie hit, and Joe Satchmo, and Steve Vai, so I pushed myself to play the most difficult stuff. Always a huge Queensryche fan too, and then the NEXT LEVEL of heavy came along when Pantera changed the world again. Then the grunge era started and Soundgarden and my favorite band of all time hit the scene, .....ALICE IN CHAINS!! Today, at 50 yrs young, I front an AIC tribute band in Buffalo Ny, ...I sing Layne while I play Jerry. Music is life! It all started with Boston! This song. A woman I loved dearly, moved many states away 3 years ago and left me behind. It was tough, it was rough. A few months later, I was driving down i95 (I moved a few states away too to cope), and was blasting this song with my windows down on a sunny Georgia afternoon. Was thinking about her. And then it hit me, this feeling of acceptance. Of letting go. Realizing and understanding that all things come to pass, and that I'll never hear from her again and thats just how it is. I finally felt in my mind and soul, that I was ready to move on. Later than night, she messaged me for the first time since she left, it had been months. Ill never forget that, and I'll never forget the feeling I had hearing this song. The universe is funny sometimes.

I was 20 years old In 2005, my brother went to South Lake Tahoe to see Boston, unfortunately all I cared about was extreme metal then. I didn’t go. Classic rock was my roots. I loved Boston but I thought I was into ‘cooler underground’ stuff. Cool the jets tour it was. It was a quite small outside venue. He said it was mind blowing. The Hammond B5 organ was huge, it was loud, but perfectly mixed and just epic he said. A couple years later Brad died. I have matured and always kicked my self in the ass for not going to see them an hour away from where I lived. I was an idiot. @@l8tapex FDR really ruined things with the New Deal’s socialist programs to bring us out of the Great Depression.
From the Social Security Administration & how it gives people money even beyond what they put in (if grandma only worked to get money to 80, so be it), the Revenue Act raising taxes on the wealthy, Farm Security Administration (socialism for farmers with bad money skills), and the National Industrial Recovery Act regulating “fair wages”.
FDR created generations of seniors dependent on Social Security who, due to their own poor saving abilities, should have been thrown out on the street. We all know they don’t get cut off based running out of what they put in. And Medicare, come on. More socialism.
Everyone knows America was founded on the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer, and that you should ask for nothing from your tax money. Ideally, we wouldn’t be paying any taxes and getting zero city / county / state / federal services. @@cluggyahoo I used to think that, but I disagree. There's a lot of great young, classic style rock n roll acts out there, they're just not getting any exposure. For example; I know people complain about Greeta Van Fleet being a carbon copy of Led Zeppelin, but they're still a solid jam and there are others keeping rock n roll alive. Music is like fashion, it goes in circles, this type of music will probably make a genuine comeback that's not solely relying on nostalgia.

Everything you hear on the album except for Brad was written and played by Tom. There is one song, though, that the band actually played for the album. But it's all about Tom.

And Eric Clapton? That's right: three times! (first in 1992 for his career with the Yardbirds from 1963-65; then he got inducted again a year later for his career with Cream; and finally the third in 2000 as a solo artist)

I never knew double bass existed in these times. Jaw has dropped. Boston (in my opinion) was the true first metal band. Head banging, double bass, and insane guitar solos.

Fran Sheehan is the greatest bass player to this day. I wish I had been alive To see them play in the 70s. To this day nobody can touch his talent. He was head-banging before anyone knew what head-banging was. I could watch him all day. Amazing.

I was just a high schooler when these boys burst on the scene. They were monsters. They kicked ass between 1976-1978 with 10 hits. One my favorite band even today. They just knew how to write good music and they had the voice to go with great guitarist.
