Just saw this on a search - great simple design for home - going to start building today. Good idea on the weather stripping cushion, it should protect my guitars both good ones and cheap ones. Thanks.
My only concern would be the strength of that MDF. Hardwood while it's a little more expensive will stand the test of time and be much more stable. It's a good job on the build, though. Well made.
Yeah, I think I'll eventually do one out of hardwood. I actually had two 2' x 4' sheets of that mdf leftover from another project, so I went with that. I've had this project on the back burner for 2 years now and I wanted to get the video out. Thanks for the comment and compliment.
What's the angle on the low support beams that hold the guitar body? I'm planning to make one of some lefover metal, and I only have angular bars, so I was wondering what angle to use on bottom.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Can you point me to the PDF for the 6X Guitar Stand that you used in your video? The one on your site is the 7X Guitar Stand
I fortunately, work at a print shop. You could take it to a blueprint shop. 2' x 4' is a standard blueprint size and shouldn't cost more than a couple bucks in b/w
hey man just a heads up with the plans. the length for the longer 'foot' piece has gotta be incorrect. they should differ by the approx width of the uprights right? The plans say one is 32" and the other is 11" thats a difference of 20 inches. Unless I am mistaken you should fix that. Screwed me up.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'll get that fixed. Shoulda been a dead giveaway on the pieces directly below it on the template showing .7 inches longer and being twice as long. Haha
No, I didn't put actual dimensions on it. It's set to scale at a 24x36 or Arch D size printout. As long as it's printed at 100% scale it should be good to use.

Love it . . . . .going to build it out of solid radiata pine. . . . . excellent job man
Great job 🎉
Very cool, thanks for sharing 👍

Just saw your video. Amazing work.. 😊
May want to check the use of foam padding which can damage the finish. Double up 100% cotton is best
thanks for the free plan

Mate, that's great stuff.

Looking for the updated template also... Easy enough to adjust the old one to six guitars, but wondering about the angle of the supports.

Where did you get the black oilcloth bro?
Awesome idea but unfortunately i can not see the PDF that you put in
Amazing
Dimana saya menemukan link untuk template pak, saya menunggunya dan berharap anda memberikanya
This is awesome - thanks for putting this together. With regards to your PDF how did you print at the scale you ultimately built at? Thank you.

Hi Rookiedyi, loved these plans but how do I convert your site plans to a larger template like you show in the video? Thanks!
Dope!!!
What is the angle of the stand?
i’m trying to figure out the same thing

What dimensions system is in the template?

@@RookieDIY Thats is still the template available. And I am a centimeter guy!
Is it possible to get the dimensions of each of the pieces rather than using the template?
Hello, I just updated the website, so you can get your free template with dimensions.
@@RookieDIY thanks!
I printed the template. The measurements/dimensions are not there. Am I missing something?

If you want to reach out in Facebook I can get dimensions on the template and direct message them over
Have you Instagram profile?

Cool design man. Thanks for the video. Tried to find you on Facebook so I could DM you for dimensions but the link is broken?

Oops, saw that Q was already answered 😳!
It is cool but the fact that I have 0 tools does not make it cheap haha.
