@@wrkshop71 Thanks very much and super nice job on the guitar stand. I have a Radial Arm saw and a Drill Press, but do not have a disc type sander so I will have to shape those curve cuts some other way. Thanks again. Philip NYC Area
Plans or instructions will be on the website I am currently building. Material list I will post in this comment section but will also be on the website.
Hi Allen, The materials list is in the video description with dimensions. My website is wrkshop71.com where you can view the project tutorial for this project.
This is such a nice guitar stand, but you have no dimensions listed here. What is the length of the bottom support leg, the distance between the dowel support holes and the distance between each neck holder? Please reply directly here as all comments ask for the cutting list 👍😀
Hi Allen the cutting dimensions are in the materials list in the video description. For instance the bottom support legs I call feet in the list. So they are 340 x 70 x 45mm. My website when it is finished will have more detailed instructions. The distances for the neck rest/supports, they are 100mm between centers and the first rest and the last rest are 100mm from their centers to the outside edge or end of the piece. The hole saw I used for the neck rests and the bottom rail rests was a 44mm diameter or 1.75" inch hole saw. The radius used for the ends of the legs and feet was a 120mm pvc pipe so its a 60mm radius.
Also the dowel support holes are approx 200mm between centers. But I would suggest looking at your guitars first and see whether that distance will be suitable. If you look closely at my video thumbnail you can see one of my guitars is resting on the steel guitar strap lug so ideally for that guitar the dowels needed to be either closer together or further apart.
Love the precision, awesome
