veiler and imperm can be subbed by psyframe gamma(SR though gamma is at 2 and requires you to run a garnet), called by the grave can be somewhat substituted by dd crow and skull meister for the banish effect but they can never do what called by is good for, which is negating hand traps
It's nice that you get free packs on SRs and URs you craft If you plan things out you can generate one of each staple per set and get a bit of a discount even if you don't need it right away

I actually went up an opponent who set up a Skill Drain turn 1 and still beat them with my Lunalights. Although that's mainly because the best Lunalight is Kaleido Chick, whose best part of their effect is the activation cost, which cannot be negated. Doesn't stop literally everyone I go up against from negating it, though.

I'd love to see a video on best Link 1 monsters. There are a lot of Link 2 ones, where you can pretty much choose whatever your deck can go into most often. But for Link 1 I pretty much only know three, that are somewhat generic but still might just work with maybe a few monsters in a deck: - Linkspider (only works with normal monsters/ tokens) - Linkuriboh (needs a level 1 monster) - This Salamangreat one (needs something with low attack)
Linguriboh uses a lvl 4 or lower Cyberse and has Trap negation Imduk also uses a Normal Monster I think a Magistus link uses generic Spellcaster Secure Gardna is often used with Salamangreat Link 1 to help load up the GY and grab a LIGHT in Invoked decks Gravity Controller uses any non-link in the EMZ ReLINKquished can use any lvl 1 and can steal a monster And of course Striker Dragon and Guardragons exist

Link Spider is another one that requires a Normal monster. Link 1s aren't really generic since it's very easy to break them as it's essentially a free Extra Deck summon.

I think a good idea for a video would be going over the jargon of YGO TCG, for example, explaining what a "burn deck" is, or what a "flood gate" card is. if master duel is following the OCG banlist, mayhaps you could look at the top 10 cards that are banned/limited in the OCG, but not the TCG. if there even is that many. ( think you can look at a list of banned cards in the deck builder)
Ice Dragon's prison! Such a good card. For starters, against a lot of archetypes it's just a 2 for 1, grave hate on good removal, holy crap. Better against Tribal strats, but potentially maindeckable in some metas, and insane in game 2 a lot of the time.
A ton amount of players just attack into Eater of millions when I play him, clearly not reading or knowing the banish thing works also if they attack into it. And mostly just that stops them. Yugioh player's reading lol.
In one of my Gold rank games, I had a duel against a Blue-Eyes player. I had a Borrelsword on the field that had used I:P Masquerena as one of its materials. What I:P Masquerena does is if you Link climb with it, it provides a lingering effect that prevents destruction from card effects. My opponent negated Borrelsword's effects with Blue-Eyes Solid, then (admittedly understandably) tried to destroy it with Blue-Eyes Alternate, which doesn't work because lingering effects are incredibly broken and can't be negated. Now, this all sounds fairly reasonable. What was not reasonable is that the same player then tried to destroy the same Borrelsword with the same card effect two more times. That's not just not reading. That's quite literally the definition of insanity.

The fusion Lucifer has "Your opponent cannot target Fairy monsters you control with card effects." yet they will try to target anyway... then on top of that greater fusion into him makes him immune to destruction effects. So the other player will smartly play dark hole to no effect, then try some other card. Then on top of all that go into extra deck monster they have to try take it out but that card will say "Target" therefore the only thing he could target was his own monster just popping himself lmao. It's like you already used 2 cards that didn't work and one was dark hole. Oh and in my traptrix deck it's funny how many times your opponent will just be like welp I know you have 4 Hole cards set and a Sera on the field but I am gonna summon a easy to destroy beatstick anyway, then proceed to do that until there cards have ran out and lose. It's actually more common for people to think they can just play through it than just realising they have no out or need something else. Sometimes a smart player will come across and realise that they've lost right away. It's funny cause one match could be against someone who just has full meta deck setting up there impossible board. Then there is just ones who don't even have way's to remove stuff without it been target or destruction also that box tends to also be full of people who don't read. I don't quite understand how were all in the same rank when it's pretty clear these people should not be in the same level as me. I would say gold is roughly were I should be but people i run into I am like why ain't you Plat? or why ain't you still bronze/silver lol.
I'm curious why no one ever mentions "Pot of acquisitiveness", is also an SR and the effect is relatively good, "return 3 banished cards to your deck, draw 1 card" I used it on my RDA deck to reuse chaos black dragon
I found out the existence of Scapeghost(SR Rarity) where it's essentially a monster flip effect version of Scapegoat where it's limited in Master Duel where I found that Scapeghost is a good substitute where you could use the tokens as Defensive Wall or you could use it for Link Summoning additionally the tokens can be used for Tribute Summoning too. Scapegoat is better but you could have 3 copies of Scapeghost.
The one way ghost can be better is if you have a deck that can flip stuff, it's possible to use it right away cuz it doesn't stop you from summoning the turn it activates.
Evenly matched, kaijus, lava golem, dark ruler no more. Cards that break their unbreakable board. Decks that like to go second, especially OTK decks. For example ancient gear golems and reactor dragons, or cyber dragons, that sort of thing.
Thunder Dragons actually do very well against droll and lock bird and skill drain! Obviously not perfectly, but usually skill drain hinders my opponent more than me since most of my effects can activate off the field. It really just shuts down titans destruction effect. And maybe my opponents use it at the wrong time, but usually when they activate droll I've already searched what I needed and have everything I need, which let's me save any more searches for next turn. Plus a lot of my effects can send from the deck to the field, graveyard, or banished which sidesteps droll.
The only problem is that the more popular that video gets, the less effective Transverser is, because the counterplay is just to avoid putting your important cards in specific zones.
You did forget to mention the other downside of evenly matched, even if it's able to be used from the hand, when it sets itself on the field you control 1 card, meaning the opponent can keep 1 card. And against certain decks there's only one card they need to keep on the field to disrupt you being able to build your board in the first place.
but there's the combo of giving them a Token (like in Nibiru) then using Evenly Matched to force your opponent to banish all other cards (since you can't banish a Token)
That's not a "downside" tho... that's the literal point of the card. And there's no deck that can prevent you from playing with only 1 card, unless your card is trash.

@@colmecolwag it would allow them to keep 2 cards since evenly matched makes it so that you have equal amount of cards on the field, since you control nibiru and evenly matched itself counts as one cards, they get to keep 2 cards on thier field
if you have an MST or something similar, you can chain into your evenly match, destroy it, then you will have 0 cards on the field, forcing your opponent to banish all his cards.
How about Decks that work only in Master Duels since some of their important pieces are banned in the TCG? Like Block Dragon making Adamancipators crazy but is banned in the TCG.
I suppose this breaks the "No Archetypes" rule, but maybe Top 10 Low Rarity decks? Crusadia and Phantasm Spiral are practically full power with only N/R. Then decks that have a low rarity variant, or gimmicks decks playable with specific low rarity cards could be lower spots. I know u play a lot of f2p decks for fun, so sharing them would be a great vid!
top 10 most specific counters. big burn, double snare and major riot to name a few. also can include single card counters like anti raigeki on higher spots

About the skill drain. It's still good but in platinam rank almost everyone runs cards that destroys all trap/spell cards on the field so I forced to add in 3 solemn judgment to prevent that from happening in my true draco deck. Adding imperial order when I get it in the future.
In duel links i was all about blue eyes. Went in a 25 game streak like a month ago I wish I could share. Master duel I messed around and got sky strikers by accident..... its a wonderful 👏🏾

Ice Dragon is a perfect counter to Eldlich. There’s not much they can do with just one copy of the card. And if you want to be extra nasty, you can call by their last copy, just to rub salt in the wounds.
SR Rarity cards in Master duel kinda surprise me, I'd never expect from Konami releasing Skill Drain and Evenly Matched as SRs, I thought they were going to be UR. Also, I have a video idea, about the best cards that share the same rarity in both Duel Links and Master Duel.
To be honest once you exhaust the initial bunch of gems, SR and UR may as well be the same as you'll end starved with tokens for both anyway :\ SR are slightly more common but there's also more of them (even in Secret Packs) so ultimately you wont have dust for either anwyay
@@worldiefeard8396 SRs are waaaaay easier to get. I had like 900 SR crafting points while I've never surpassed 240 UR crafting points. Also, a lot of really important cards are UR, so you'll most likely spend your UR CP than your SR CP.

I have an idea: first impression for 10 notable cards in every new realeased set. Since the cards would be revealed already anyway you can prepare until the set official release
I mean, are we talking over all staples included, or power level of the archetype included or playability by buying 3 structures? Because the answer differs immensely: If we are talking about pure generic staples that will save you UR, the dark magician structure is the best because it includes the magician soul engine (saves you 6 UR). Power level of the archetype that is a tie between blackwings and salamangreat. Playability wise by buying 3 structures, i believe only dragonmaid and ninja will give you the basically all the UR you need (excluding the handtraps/staples). Close contender being the salamangreat structure, missing couple SR extra deck monsters and accesscode. Apart from that all the solo gate/starters are shit giving you almost no good URs.
Also another nice sr staple is Gameciel, the sea turtle kaiju. Squashes any annoying negate everything/immune to everything under a fat turtle with only 2200 atk, without activating effects or the like. Is in its summon condition.
lots of other kaijus are R quality. and with current masterduel metanhabing lyrilusc putting barrier statue of stormwinds, I actually rather have gadarla (R) than gameciel
I personally will never use Desires. I know it's benefits can outweigh the banishment but I just don't feel comfortable, even in decks I run 3 of in my monsters.
I got to Platinum running 1 copy of Desires. The trick is to have other searchers so you can get just enough important cards in your hand before banishing 10 cards at random, so the random cards won't snipe your important ones.
I wish the side deck was a thing in Master duel so I don't have to remember all viable cards that could be usable. 😅 Probably a more diffucult to do list: "Top 10 god-like cards" (visually ofcourse). The creator would probably be high on that list.
I don't know why the big hate on eldlich and skill drain. Drytron and Tri-brigades can create worst board with more consistency and taking more of your time.

I have a question: Imagine, I have skill drain and Jinzo on my field..... Could Jinzo then technically be destroyed by Sakuretsu armor or other similar trap cards? Kind of a paradox, right? Jinzo says, it's unaffected by trap cards, but when skill drain negates its effect... 🤔 Like, what comes first?....

Evenly Matched is great in the lower ranks. Had the occasional opponent lose everything instead of everything-minus-one after trying to MST negate it.

The only reason Sekka's Light was limited in TCG is because Konami didn't print it as a short print Secret Rare.

If you want an R to negate monster effects I would say that forbidden chalice is the way to go, although lost wind can be better in some decks.

A decent sub for forbidden droplet or some other monster negates is actually forbidden chalice, which is only an R rated card.

One Full Board gets annihilated by one Evenly Matched. Especially against non-omni negate decks.

You could also add gamaciel or lava golem for your SR 1 and 2 enemy tributes, they've been very helpful to out boss monster negates

Its not, Master Duel is its own format that combines TCG and OCG. People really should call it the Master Duel *Format.*
It's Standard format, however due to existence of Standard there might be a possibility that we will have more format.

I found out the existence of Scapeghost(SR Rarity) where it's essentially a monster flip effect version of Scapegoat where it's limited in Master Duel where I found that Scapeghost is a good substitute where you could use the tokens as Defensive Wall or you could use it for Link Summoning additionally the tokens can be used for Tribute Summoning too. Scapegoat is better but you could have 3 copies of Scapeghost.
The one way ghost can be better is if you have a deck that can flip stuff, it's possible to use it right away cuz it doesn't stop you from summoning the turn it activates.

Decks that like to go second, especially OTK decks. For example ancient gear golems and reactor dragons, or cyber dragons, that sort of thing.
Lightning storm in it's texts says you can only use it if you controll no FACE UP cards .

I knew this channel would be handy the moment Master Duel came out. Glad I found it last year.
Thunder Dragons actually do very well against droll and lock bird and skill drain! Obviously not perfectly, but usually skill drain hinders my opponent more than me since most of my effects can activate off the field. It really just shuts down titans destruction effect. And maybe my opponents use it at the wrong time, but usually when they activate droll I've already searched what I needed and have everything I need, which let's me save any more searches for next turn. Plus a lot of my effects can send from the deck to the field, graveyard, or banished which sidesteps droll.
Thanks to that N rarity video, I’ve gotten some spicy gimmicky wins with Geonator Transverser.
The only problem is that the more popular that video gets, the less effective Transverser is, because the counterplay is just to avoid putting your important cards in specific zones.

You did forget to mention the other downside of evenly matched, even if it's able to be used from the hand, when it sets itself on the field you control 1 card, meaning the opponent can keep 1 card. And against certain decks there's only one card they need to keep on the field to disrupt you being able to build your board in the first place.
but there's the combo of giving them a Token (like in Nibiru) then using Evenly Matched to force your opponent to banish all other cards (since you can't banish a Token)
That's not a "downside" tho... that's the literal point of the card. And there's no deck that can prevent you from playing with only 1 card, unless your card is trash.
@@ronelm2000 wouldnt that make it unable to activate since youd control the Nibiru then? Or if you could do it wouldnt it give your opponent two cards?
@@colmecolwag it would allow them to keep 2 cards since evenly matched makes it so that you have equal amount of cards on the field, since you control nibiru and evenly matched itself counts as one cards, they get to keep 2 cards on thier field
if you have an MST or something similar, you can chain into your evenly match, destroy it, then you will have 0 cards on the field, forcing your opponent to banish all his cards.
How about Decks that work only in Master Duels since some of their important pieces are banned in the TCG? Like Block Dragon making Adamancipators crazy but is banned in the TCG.

I suppose this breaks the "No Archetypes" rule, but maybe Top 10 Low Rarity decks? Crusadia and Phantasm Spiral are practically full power with only N/R. Then decks that have a low rarity variant, or gimmicks decks playable with specific low rarity cards could be lower spots. I know u play a lot of f2p decks for fun, so sharing them would be a great vid!
top 10 most specific counters. big burn, double snare and major riot to name a few. also can include single card counters like anti raigeki on higher spots

About the skill drain. It's still good but in platinam rank almost everyone runs cards that destroys all trap/spell cards on the field so I forced to add in 3 solemn judgment to prevent that from happening in my true draco deck. Adding imperial order when I get it in the future.

Ice Dragon is a perfect counter to Eldlich. There’s not much they can do with just one copy of the card. And if you want to be extra nasty, you can call by their last copy, just to rub salt in the wounds.

SR Rarity cards in Master duel kinda surprise me, I'd never expect from Konami releasing Skill Drain and Evenly Matched as SRs, I thought they were going to be UR.
Also, I have a video idea, about the best cards that share the same rarity in both Duel Links and Master Duel.
Are there even some good cards for both? I thought it will only be nr cards
To be honest once you exhaust the initial bunch of gems, SR and UR may as well be the same as you'll end starved with tokens for both anyway :\
SR are slightly more common but there's also more of them (even in Secret Packs) so ultimately you wont have dust for either anwyay
@@worldiefeard8396 SRs are waaaaay easier to get. I had like 900 SR crafting points while I've never surpassed 240 UR crafting points. Also, a lot of really important cards are UR, so you'll most likely spend your UR CP than your SR CP.
@@trussingwordjjj1873 well you got block dragon for example, I think levianeer is UR so it could be there, fire formation tenki, monster reborn, the pk of break sword, fossil dig, some hero cards like mask change, malicious and stratos.
I think it would require quite research but I'd like to see it

You should do a top ten structure decks in master duel and include the solo mode structure decks
I mean, are we talking over all staples included, or power level of the archetype included or playability by buying 3 structures?
Because the answer differs immensely:
If we are talking about pure generic staples that will save you UR, the dark magician structure is the best because it includes the magician soul engine (saves you 6 UR).
Power level of the archetype that is a tie between blackwings and salamangreat.
Playability wise by buying 3 structures, i believe only dragonmaid and ninja will give you the basically all the UR you need (excluding the handtraps/staples). Close contender being the salamangreat structure, missing couple SR extra deck monsters and accesscode.
Apart from that all the solo gate/starters are shit giving you almost no good URs.
Also another nice sr staple is Gameciel, the sea turtle kaiju. Squashes any annoying negate everything/immune to everything under a fat turtle with only 2200 atk, without activating effects or the like. Is in its summon condition.
lots of other kaijus are R quality. and with current masterduel metanhabing lyrilusc putting barrier statue of stormwinds, I actually rather have gadarla (R) than gameciel
And for the madlads that actually play Kaijus with stuff like Kyoto Waterfront(aka me), it's got a powerful negate and banish effect.
I personally will never use Desires. I know it's benefits can outweigh the banishment but I just don't feel comfortable, even in decks I run 3 of in my monsters.
I got to Platinum running 1 copy of Desires. The trick is to have other searchers so you can get just enough important cards in your hand before banishing 10 cards at random, so the random cards won't snipe your important ones.
I wish the side deck was a thing in Master duel so I don't have to remember all viable cards that could be usable. 😅
Probably a more diffucult to do list: "Top 10 god-like cards" (visually
ofcourse). The creator would probably be high on that list.
To make the Side Deck usable is to bring best of 3 duels to Master Duel. Most people don't want a longer match

I don't know why the big hate on eldlich and skill drain. Drytron and Tri-brigades can create worst board with more consistency and taking more of your time.

Why Phoenix does not activate sometimes in Master Duel? It is happening to me a lot of times and idk why? I don't see any restrictions other that it needs to be linked summoned but I always do and still doesn't let me pop a spell/trap

Could Jinzo then technically be destroyed by Sakuretsu armor or other similar trap cards? Kind of a paradox, right? Jinzo says, it's unaffected by trap cards, but when skill drain negates its effect... 🤔
