- in a Yu-Gi-Oh master dual, pretty much every deck is going to need an extra deck full of staple monsters, but a lot of the best extra deck staples are a very high rarity and kind of hard to craft. And while you're waiting to craft all of the highest rarity extra deck monsters, these are some good ones you can use to fill your extra deck which might actually be useful, and some of them might even be used after you get all of the higher rarity staples.

Just btw, if anyone reading this is planning to run Dragonmaids, a Cross-sheep is a pretty good extra deck choice because of the Archetype specific Fusion(s) is/are easy to bring out and Cross-sheep summons level 4 or lower, which all the humanoid forms of the Dragonmaids are. So, if you haven't already used their summon effects, was able to get a Cross-sheep out, and Fusion summon either Sheou or House, you'd be able to extend rather easily.

I already use it in my Dragonmaid deck and because of this found out that how he explained its effect was not totally correct. cause instead of "if a monster is special summoned to one of the zones this card points to (this is correct), you get to apply one of its four effects based on the type of monster that's summoned there (this is not totally correct)" should be "if a monster is special summoned to one of the zones this card points to, you get to apply the following effects based on the type of monster that this card points to". which makes it a little more versatile. like if you want to wait with special summoning a extra dragonmaid monster with its effect you can make it's effect trigger with any type of monster (if it is special summoned to one of the zones this card points to). or if you go into a lot of different type of extra deck monsters you can make use of multiple of its effects per turn.

I have the feeling that if Powercode gets printed in Duel Links, it surely will be an SR or UR card, in the best possibility he would be a level up or drop card(and this would still make it F2P, and i would love it)

Grinding any amount of Gate or PvP outside of events is available; it's just cumbersome.

I feel like Geonator Transverser is super slept on. Amazing way to deal with big boss monsters, slottable into most decks, and only a N.

Very true, however most of your more experienced players know how to play around Transverser. But I do agree that it is definitely good enough to have made this list.
Big help for newer players might be "most splashable/powerful UR cards" to give them some nice strong staples to get that they dont need to worry too much about making fit in whatever deck they might be aiming for, though that might be a bit subjective

All the hand traps and Accesscode Talker. Those cards can go into anything.
I'd say Instant Fusion as well could be a spot, as it's limited to one you only need to craft that one and the one UR you can bring out with it is not usually one of the targets you'd pick, so you only need SR's and below for the toolbox. Obviously not splashable into every deck, but as it's just one UR it's kinda cheap in that way. But obviously handtraps are more important.

You should do a top 10 "Best Practices" in Yugioh. Things that are good ideas generally like summoning boss monsters into defense position to play around lightning storm, not putting boss monsters in the Extra monster zone in case the enemy plays cyber dragons, stuff like that all the way down to basic stuff like setting backrow in main phase 2.
Well, you should pretty close to never summon a monster to the extra monster zone if it needn't be summoned there. Sure, there are some cards and play lines where you want/need to summon a non-link monster to the EMZ, but that's prime real estate to get your links going.
And for sure about setting things main 2. In regard to any card game in general, you always do things as late as you possibly can so your plans are the least interrupt able as possible. The smaller the window for your opponent to mess with your play, the safer your play is.
But what if putting something in the extra zone plays around Cerberus? That conundrum aside, setting in MP2 is pretty much 100% correct tho. I mostly play slow-moving builds that happen to work well with 3x Evenly Matched such as no field spells Ghostricks, and people give away free traps to it all the time when I defend in a way that allows it to be dropped from hand at the end of their battle phase. And here's one of my own: I've won games where the only way I could have was with a move that didn't need to have been available to me, Geonator Transverser. So whenever you put something strong in zone 3 just because that's aesthetically the natural thing to do, that could happen to you to.
I routinely put my Construct in the EMZ, just for kicks and giggles.

Considering how many decks I see lately that run something that "cannot be targeted", "cannot be destroyed by card effects" or both, one top 10 idea might be "top 10 cards that can bypass targeting/destruction/removal immunity", or top 10 worst or something. Could maybe split that over a few videos too, depending on how many you can find for each.

Kinda surprised Geonator Transverser wasn't on the list. It's normal rarity, has fairly generic cost for a link 2, and can extremely punish careless positioning.
Love playing it with Nibiru so you can place the rock in the middle slot :)

I'd really love to see a video where you take a look at the 10 cards that got way better in Master Duel instead of the TCG. The unique banlist could make some decks, cards, and archetypes way better.

Puzzlomino is actually really really good in decks that play monsters that cannot be destroyed by card effects. It basically becomes pop a monster for free and potentially also level manipulate your monster. For instance in Thunder Dragon it can be crazy with Titan if your opponent has like a level 8 you want to destroy

Link evolution is probably number 1 just for the versatility it has. Even though objectively its lacking.
I think Reprodocus at “rare” is such a powerful card in this format. I use it in my Scrap Dino deck to change one of my monsters (usually Scrap Chimera) to a Winged Best to go into Simorgh and summon Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds in the end phase.

You might want to do a list for synchros as well since there's some really good choices that at normal and rare rarity.

would be really interested in seeing a list of master duel low rarity staples, or secret packs with the most value (eg multiple meta archetypes, staple cards, etc.)
Would like to mention Geonator Transverser at common. Any 2 effect monsters and can potentially steal something really strong if your opponent isn't mindful of their zones.
It can be really funny against Sky Striker (Kagari and Shizuku's arrows point to the *opponent's* field)
I was ready to mention her, considering how a lot of players trow monsters in the middle slot (duel link players?) is not that difficult to snatch something

Shoutout to my guy Number 64: Ronin Racoon Sandayu. It's a rank 2 and needs beast monsters to summon, which really holds it back, but it still just detaches 1 to summon a token whose atk matches the highest on field, meaning that in most situations you get to crash into your opponents beatsticks for free, like Dianond Crab King. Or, with the way it gets used in my deck, I pair it with shuraig to push for game with damage that only misses lethal by 1000.
One of the few cards, that actually might be better in duel links.
I use(d) him often with Ojamas or Fur Hire. With the skill "Ties that bind" that boosts the atk of all your monsters by a lil bit, but usable each turn. So it turns the "crash the token into any strong monster" into "beat over anything and keep your beefy token"
I love raccoons. An all beast variant with uniflora and kinka-byo was my pet deck for 2 years during xyz era YGO.

Really just want to see top 10 generic staples found in secret packs. Top 10 secret packs for staples would be prefered but i understand the channel's focus on cards.

I think Ningirsu deserves an honorable mention here. While he is SR, he’s obtained by playing the Solo mode, so he’s budget friendly.
Requiring two Link monsters to bring out might make him a bit less generic than some of the cards on this list, but the ability to remove any card on the field while bypassing targeting immunity and destruction immunity can definitely come in handy.

I’ve been using cross sheep in my predaplant deck and I have to say it’s very helpful as most of my decks monsters are level 4 or bellow, plus getting a second or third orphys Scorpio early on can really help snowball a game to victory!

The handtraps are all important but technically not necessary, I used to play with stuff like raigeki (can be optained in solo play for free), mystical space typhoon (included in one of the starter decks) and other low rarity staples before I was able to craft the hand traps

@@DanielLee-xj9bu not really. When you have to go first, you prepare your board to be able to summon boxer on your opponents turn. If you’re going second, just try to play against the board your opponent has established

Powercode Talker is in literally all of my MD decks Extras right now. I'm a big fan of Phantom Skyblaster as it's nearly always an instant +3k accesscode thanks to this card...and being able to negate a monster is useful at least 90% of the time it comes out. Skyblaster is another low rarity card that I don't see enough people talking about, probably because it is limited in the TCG, but at 3 in MD. It's just really cool to be able to get 4 materials instantly with just a junk forward or cockadoodledoo + a Phantom Skyblaster.

It'd be interesting to see say a top 10 low rarity type or attribute support cards video. I.e. cards that aren't archetype specific but generically support spellcasters .etc
Please keep doing more of these, I'm on a challenge to only use Rare and below and hit plat 1 with a 10 win streak, It's not going well

Just last night, my friends and I streamed a little round robin using only Normal rarity cards. Berserker of the Tenyi backed by the Tenyi field spell was pretty powerful, so that was fun.
Nice I actually got really lucky and pulled a lot of ur cards for the decks I was interested in (madolche, dragonmaids, frightfur) and as a new nada f2p player this can come in really handy if I try new decks I would also recommend top 10 f2p decks or even decks to start with

Works like fine wine in my ,,Drytron " deck before going into herald. Draw 2 pitch 2 ,1 being Eva - add 2 fairies and then use it to go into Decode Talker on top of the herald .

As an Odd-eyes player i can confirm that steel star regulator comes in handy
Steel star regulator just got introduced to duel links and not gonna lie, matched with right skill, with generic material, and crackdown may be able to cause a problem

I use Puzzlomino to go into XYZ plays in my Lair of Darkness Witchcrafter deck. It's possible to simply summon another witch of the same level, but Puzzlomino generally just makes it easier since I can crap out a Genni or something and then go into Rank 7 or 8 monsters on the spot

Cross Sheep is so good with thunder Dragons specially when you use its summon effect for going to Apolousa
In case you don't know the Ningirsu Link-3 is amazing and very generic, non targeting non destruction removal of any card on the field, it's insane. But wait, its a UR you said. Doesn't matter cause you get them for FREE if you clear the World Legacy storyline. Another very good card in that story line is World Legacy Succession.
I want to suggest that more things to be included in top 10s that actually has a benefit to know, maybe just as very quick list of honorable mentions, maybe just a screenshot of cards that didn’t quite make the list but still good to know. For example, you can have just a screen shot or a list of names of good budget ed monsters at the end of the vid just so people that are looking for something to play doesn’t have to be limited by the format of the video (top 10).

one you missed in my opinion: geonator transverser. its effect to creature swap monster it points to is pretty strong given people often put main boss monsters in the center zone, and has served me pretty well at times. only a common too
geonator transverse is also a spicy link 2 card that switch your weak monster with powerful monster your opponent control, and it doesn't target

For master duel I'd like to see a top 10 easiest decks to craft. Or just build in general
I'd also add a mention to Number 82 Heartlandraco which is normal rarity. 2 lv 4s to summon, can't be targeted for attacks while you have a spell face up and can detach to attack directly for 2k at the cost of the rest of your monsters not attacking. Really nice to break though someone's stall or last 2-4k LP if they drop something big you can't get over.
I totally forgot about Puzzlomino but it's such a good card for easy synchro summons
I was surprised not to see gossip shadow since it can be a negate and 2600 wall not major but for such a low ratty nice temporary card despite being able to give the opponent a card

recently I discovered my new favourite XYZ monster, which is Aegaion The Sea Castrum.
it is extremely funny to use, a generic rank 8 and also R rarity.
