6:28 No mention of the combo with Dragon Buster Destruction Sword, which Union Carrier can equip to a Dark or Dragon monster to lock your opponent out of the Extra deck? Outside of Drytron that must have been the most busted use of Union Carrier before it was banned (at least in Master Duel). Fun fact: monsters equipped by Union Carrier count as being on the field, so Union Carrier can also allow you to activate Primal Seed. Yet another case of off-meta strategies suffering for the sins of the meta decks.
I crafted Buster and Carrier explicitly for that! Weird that the monster called Union Carrier is not limited to equip Union monsters, that would have been a good moment to update monsters with that label. Imagine if Super Heavy Samurai was a union monster archetype.
When I first saw Union Carrier being played, it was used to equip Dawn Knight to itself. Then when used for a Ritual Summon, Dawn Knight sent Eva directly from the Deck to the Graveyard. This wasn't mentioned either.
It is still ridiculous how many cards Konami hit to allow Halq to stay legal as long as it was. Halq should have been a "test for a format then instantly ban" type of card, but instead so many Tuners were hit. I remember the Jet Synchron limit and I was just sitting there thinking "Seriously? We're going this far?"
As shown by that graph in the video, Halq can be used for a lot of stuff that isn't as bad as Deskbot 001 into Auroradon into half a dozen Synchros. It might not be the most reasonable thing to do but I can see them keeping Halq instead of a dozen one-of cards in exchange for the sheer variety of plays Halq enables (and in the end, they did concede that Halq just is not future-proof enough).
@@xCorvus7x bro, what you just said kind of explains why Halq needs to be banned. Those tuners are already fine before Halq came into picture, but they were punished all because Halq is extremely generic with powerful effects. Like seriously, there's no reason to ban nearly a dozen cards just because 1 FUCKING CARD makes them broken. Hell, even Auroradon isn't that broken when Halq isn't present.
@@lordpaulphilippfernandez9904 Well, I don't mean that Halq isn't banworthy the way it is, that's undeniable, but have you seen the chart I mean? It's at 22:51. While it sketches a line into eight or nine Synchros and also one into fifteen or sixteen Link monsters, it also shows how various decks with little to no meta-relevance can make use of it. This does add some variety to the game that _could_ be worth banning ten other cards. I know that this argument isn't good but I can see Konami reasoning like this to keep Halqifibrax around for „just a bit longer“, „only a little while“. Then again, that would be moot anyway if Konami cared about the Traditional format.
@@giovannilawes9120 Isn't that only due to more broken stuff being around? Halq just not future-proof and limits card design. Is that you in your profile pic? Impressive physique.
My Needlefiber "nerf" would be something along the lines of restricting the use of that tuner for extra deck plays, except for Synchro monsters or locking the player from summoning non-Synchro monsters from the extra deck for the rest of the turn.
That would be great if Verte, Halq, Electrumite, and Bujinki Ahashima we’re archetype support and not Master Rule support to compensate for the Master Rule restrictions. They’re all products of their time more so than “bad card design”. Konami over corrected with Links after Pendulums and fail to slow the game down, annoyed people by essentially forcing them to run/buy Link monsters, among other things. People always look at the cards missing the context in which they were created.
It's funny how people were debating between whether Halq or Auroradon was the problem, and as soon as Halq was banned in MD, Auroradon combos dissappeared overnight.
Its the same with Verte with Dragoon and DPE, moment Verte got banned DPE lost all presence in the majority of decks and Dragoon became harder to justify when tehre are better targets for Branded Fusion
It didn't just disappear overnight, people are still running archetypal ways to cheat our auroradon, and even tho its usage has definitely decreased, it is still a pain in the ass every time it is summoned. That being said, I'm glad Halq is banned and I sure won't miss Auroradon if it will get banned someday.
But they still exist via Galaxy Tommahawk, just not as consistent as it was without Halq and thus not worth playing aside for shit and giggles. Besides it's not like halqdon combo was still popular around the time before it was banned, everybody and their mothers were playing Branded Despia and Halqdon has already been largely abandoned. Halq wasn't banned due to Halqdon combo, it was due to Spright is coming and thus all remaining Halqdon users died down and only leaving the stubborn memelord with galaxy tommahawk as enabler instead.
Not a very interesting argument, of course if you ban halq you can't use it to easily go into auroradon, but then you kill a lot of rogue strategies that used halq, like zombies, or crystron themselves. If people really want they can still summon Auroradon, it just takes more effort.
Not really though. Duel Links is a different game. Sure they have the same cards, but with the board being smaller & having abilities, you aren't playing the same game. The only difference between Master Duel and the TCG/OCG is the Bo1 format vs Bo3, and the vastly wider audience of Master Duel rather than primarily hardcore players that play it in-person.
@@randumo24 not just different format. It have different banlist, instant fusion ban is alot bigger than you think considered it make predaplant and any deck that use it worse beside Tear which is the main reason why it's banned and verte still legal till this day but doesn't have any impact rn bc dpe is kinda terrible against tear
@@13thKingMu Why are you trying to act like taking out Instant Fusion doesn't hurt Tear? It was an absolutely amazing card for Tear that was virtually unstoppable. It was literally the best card in the deck for Tear to draw. Normally you can at least do something like activating an Imperm to stop her, but with Instant Fusion she would always go to the GY. Sure Tear is still the best deck, but don't pretend like that wasn't a hit to the deck. It was literally being played in 100% of decks.
@@randumo24 instant fusion ban hurts tear but unlike predaplant, they still can do their combo no problem so i don't see your point Kitkallos is very easy to make with -1 at worst to summon her and instant fusion make it card neutral which is better but not game changing
Union carrier was also used in drytron to equip a copy of B-Buster Drake to Herald of Ultimateness from the deck, giving it protection from spell effects (its greatest weakness)
Also surprised there was no mention of its interactions with Dragon Buster Destruction Sword to scythe lock and with photon orbital to make an ABC Dragon Buster and Cyber Dragon Infinity with a single copy of Union Hangar. The card was truly insane and deserved to get banned (I miss it tho 😢)
@@ChaosMemeLord also it could be used to proc floating effects like aslla piscu and chacu challua without having to summon them properly. So yeah there were some combos logs missed and the card was busted.

@@amamiyaharuto8407 sheep is very good But only for fusion o deck that doesn't lock to fusion bc ritual couldn't use it bc they're well known to be not wanted their monster in gy majority of the time and i don't need to tell synchro and xyz
@@amamiyaharuto8407 Sheep is GOOD but best case scenario it gives specific fusion decks a little toy to play with. It's only ever really seen play in Invoked, Shaddoll, and a handful of really rogue ritual and fusion decks. Lots of shaddoll and Invoked builds even cut sheep nowadays. Sheep is also a pretty standard targeted link-2 for rituals and fusions that I think helps weaker decks do extension plays. It's basically spright elf at home for fusion decks but much more fair.
idk about 2 of them, cross sheep is only viable if you can actually have enough material on field to summon and you still have to have materials for fusion (modern fusion deck just cheats by sending from deck or banish from gy or the mats are just more useful to be used as fusion material, and old fusion decks barely have enough mats) while zeke is specifically used in sky strikers, that deck itself have already fallen from grace
With Union Carrier, you forgot that another reason it was banned was because it was the main tool for a lot of decks being able to use the Buster Lock to completely shut off their opponents Extra Deck turn 1.
I have no problem with the Buster Lock in dedicated decks, but being able to generically give the option to the most common attribute and the most common type is problematic.
I've been so caught up on Master Duel's Tear Zero status that I had completely forgotten about Halq. I was sitting here questioning what link 2 could be more broken than Elf 🤣
Both Isolde and Marincess Coral Anemone are better than Knightmare Phoenix, but I guess Phoenix can be used more widely. I'd remove Sprind and Phoenix for Isolde and Anemone, sure they're more archetype specific but both generate so much more advantage, to the point where they're considered the best imperm/veiler targets in their respective decks, and it's not even close
@@ainevek I wouldnt imperm Anemone in a Marincess deck. Theyll prob just put out an extender thatll make you look foolish. The best target for your imperm is most likely Coral Triangle, since Marincess Wave is a busted trap for them; followed by Sea Angel because it can search out their field spell. Outside of Marincess, given the scarcity of water decks, its not widely used as much. Also, most water decks dont rely on it. Its nice utility, but they usually stick to their own gameplan instead of actively utilizing Anemone. Nice card for sure but not top 10 worthy. Isolde on the otherhand....its really great, prob #11, but Isolde strats werent too meta defining as they usually were weaker to the top meta; whereas any deck could really gain from Phoenix. On top of that, you had to run equip spells, which you generally didnt want to do. Marincess is one of the 3 decks I actively play ftr.
@@ainevek How are they getting statue in the grave and more importantly I said sea angel was 2nd priority, not 1st. If you see the statue play coming then yea obv Anemone but if not, Coral Triangle
So Crystron was made for the era when ED summons were limited to one zone or arrows? Did Konami anticipate they would remove those limitations to non-links? Knowing Konami likely no.
Funnily enough verte doesn't see much play in master duel for months now. Turns out banning celestial was enough to rein it in so that running the DPE package was no longer worth it. Which raises the question: is the problem verte, or is the problem the multitude of fusion spells that use materials from the deck instead
A mixture of both. Fusing from the deck is broken when the card they summon is good, or the card they send have good GY effects. What Verte does is just making them easily accessible, just like how the Foolish series of cards make GY effects easier to get to. This conundrum would be solved by not naming these cards "something fusion" and just keep the name for other kinds of more grounded fusion summons. Then Verte exclusively becomes Super Poly turbo, as god intended lol
@@TWLSpark that's what I mainly use it for lol, I love sending making verte to out my opponent's board. Occasionally I send shaddoll fusion instead to the fusion's HOPT. I love having an extra deck way to out big boards like that, and even unaffected monsters (SVFD attack gain effect). I wish the OCG/TCG learn from master duel, the card is fine if the payoff is just slightly less good, ban celestial is the big brain play
Actually DPE was just powercrept. Most of the newest decks are either at or above Swordsoul level who also didn't even play Verte or DPE in most variants even at the height of DPE. Anything Swordsoul or stronger (Spright, Tear, Runick, etc.) just doesn't care about DPE. Now with Ishtear you won't see hardly any at all cause Ishtear just mills your FD targets.
@@tcoren1 hell no to that tbh, verte just making all decks using it bottlenecked themselves on summoning it and can make konami hesitates to make legacy supports, 3 super poly's already make the community enraged everytime it resolves (it dont need more enabler, tbh i like super poly too. i just dont want to hear another complain), it just a shitty RnD blunder that make card design harder to create and a ticking time bomb just to be abused. its too generic for its own good. not being good in 1-2 format where its generic targets are easily counterable doesnt mean the card itself is good for the game's life
Honestly I like all the Hero links Diviser makes using any old school hero stupidly easy Cross is a great extender that turns FD into Plasma + DPE Finally Diviser allows you to add extra monsters to your board and DOESN'T hero lock you
I really think the difference between halq and the others cards on the list is massive. Halq basically singlehandedly defines every format it's legal in, literally every deck would summon it first chance they got. It's also really funny that halq alongside a few other things made infernobles a incredible powerfull deck for a while but without halq it's basically unplayable lol
Generic link-2 monsters are what I believe is what is wrong with the game's meta. Strong archetype specific link-2s or those that require one to be a certain type, say Dragon or whatever, can only be slotted in certain decks. Synchros and xyz need careful level manipulation. Strong generic link-3s are a bit harder to get out since... you need 3 materials. And if generic link-2s had positive but mediocre effects, they'd mainly be used for their arrows, or just as a stopping point before another monster. I liked it in the Snychro Era when special summoning in one turn out a bunch of effect monsters with wouldn't do much by itself. If they were the right level, you could make great plays. If they had great effects, you could use them. But without level manipulation (either changing the monster's level on the field, or being careful with levels when deck crafting) or drawing into a spell card, the extra deck was not an option here. I wish they didn't open the bottle on this extra deck power creep.
Other honorable mentions: - Dharc, The Dark Charmer Gloomy (and all of link 2 Charmer monsters such as Lumina) - after Halq was banned in the game, link 2 charmers such as this became one of new substitute to Halquifibrax. With effect that can use dark monsters from your opponent’s graveyard to be used against them, a floating effect that can search 1500 ATK monster from your deck and a decent ATK power perfect as a good beatstick, its good to say the likes of this card is kind of a complete package on their own.
Dealing with I:P is such a pain. you hafta predict the possibilities of her quick summoning (surprise white woman or avrakadavramax), but then you would forgot her lingering protection. Worse part? The latter comes when raigeki doesnt break through 😅
You can stop them if you play right with certain negates or cards. I.E. if you have a set Dimensional Barrier and bait out the I:P activation to Link you can activate Dimensional Barrier after the activation to stop Link summons from that point onward. Forbidden Droplet or Ultimate Slayer can also put a stop to I:P. Or any other generic omni negate
@@francisharkins D-Barrier doesn't work on links, links didn't exist when they made it so it's the one type of summoning that it isn't listed on the card.
I often start my combo and summon a monster that can beat over her and start the battle phase. This forces IP to use its effect or get beat over. It almost always uses its effect which let's you continue your main phase instead of entering the battle phase. That way you're usually facing Avramax, underworld goddess, or maybe Apollousa so you can figure out how to get over their board.
14:42 in addition to those two monsters. There were also other budget options like Hope Harbinger if your going first and need a negate for spell cards and block a monster attack, if your going second and need to pop some cards of the field then summon some random Galaxy Eyes Xyz monster to go full armor and Cipher to destroy 2 cards, or just summon something like void ogre dragon or clear wing. Not hte best choice but if needed other options, i would go for it.
Just hear me out: if you banned Phoenix, we'd have justification for banning so many floodgates while allowing weaker floodgates to finally see play again. It would do a lot to curb powercreep and make the metagame much easier for Konami to manage.
Not every card Phoenix might pop is a floodgate, though. Field spells, continuous cards, set traps (or quick spells to force their effects early). While I do get the point that not having consistent access to a backrow pop might make them more susceptible to a ban by virtue of them being effectively harder to out... I think that would ultimately do more harm than good in the long run.
But pheonix doesn't even out most floodgates... skill drain is the big one, but unless you're player fire/fiends it's not summonable under gozen and rivalry
@@unpopularweeb8535 I mean "now that pheonix is gone, we must ban gozen since it's harder to out" is the logic used by the OP, which doesn't really hold up. But yeah I would be all in for removing a lot of extra deck removal, banning the broken floodgates, and encouraging people to run ST removal in main
@@tcoren1 As long as we don't get rid of everything extra deck removal lol The game would suck balls if STs cards other than floodgates became harder to out because your removal is not searchable. I really, *really* don't want to go back to battle trap hell, even if I like some of them.
The Knightmare monsters are fair since they're -1's for generic removal (which is more investment than 101 or Castel or Tornado Dragon). The floodgate you're destroying is FAR more unfair than a generic way to pop it. Union Carrier would have been perfectly fine if it required a UNION monster, and Electrumite can easily come back to 1.
4:12 is union carrier got some sort of errata or just a video mistake that you mention that union carrier equips a monster from hand or GY but the card text says from hand or deck?
Hey @TheDuelLogs, in the next "Explaining XXX Quickly and Easily" world be cool if you talked about Vernusylph, it's all the buzz at Master Duel right now and it's a somewhat complicated engine as well
Halq was crazy, I got to use it on Master Duel. Cards like this is why konami needs to lock archetypes behinds their own support. I get the idea of creativity but we’re not in a “let’s all make creative decks” era. Most of the players will hard net deck if it better chances of topping
i think what killed halq ultimately is the same thing that killed the dragon rulers, with all of them except wind still being banned for now in the tcg. when the dragon rulers were at their most terrifying, what made them really bad is literally everyone had easy access to them via their tins. with halq, anyone that really wanted one just needed to pick up like 3 boxes of ghosts from the past 2 or buy it for like a buck on tcgplayer. like the dragon rulers halq was always really strong but konami finally saw just how good it is by giving literally any old player that wanted one really easy and cheap ways to get it so basically everyone had them.
Theres a mistake with union carrier. The text and what you say doesnt match the card. The card sayd from the deck. I was really confused by the description you were giving it until i realized that mistake.
Generic Extra Deck monsters are some of modern Yu-Gi-Oh!'s biggest mistakes in card design. No surprise that most if not all of the Top 10 here have awfully generic requirements to summon and the very reason why they are there in the first place. Which also includes cards like Accesscode Talker, Baronne, and Zeus. I hope that with some of them staying in the banlist (especially Halq) is a sign that Konami has in mind to errata their requirements to their Types or Archetypes only.
That, and certainly, these cards mostly doesnt even have summoning restrictions, which what i am salty about since Konami used to be generic for this in archetypes (remember Quinton support of LVL 9's hard lock you into machines only so no VFD turbo?)
If a card is no generic, no one will play them. No one likes overbalanced and overly restricted cards. You people want to head back to GX era we're all cards were unplayable and nothing stopped Monarchs or Chaos until we finally started getting good generic cards
@@soukenmarufwt5224 the inverse is as ugly as you portray the GX era to be. Every deck is robbed of its identity and is the same generic endboard of any combination from Accesscode Talker/Baronne/Zeus/Appolousa, and is a disrespect to even call it the archetype you happen to attach these generic ED monsters into. It's depressing to encounter a unique match featuring a bunch of cards you've never seen before, only for it to end on an Accesscode because it needs that card for the deck to work. I'm not saying all generics have to be errata'd, it's more that the popular generic EDs are overused and are lazily over-relied upon by so many decks for a reason.
@@TaikunZ Every deck robbed of it's identity? HERO's? Kashtira? Tearlaments? RDA? Swordsoul? Spright? I could very well go on btw the reason people would even run generic extra deck monsters is because they're playing competitively or their deck's in archetype boss monsters suck (looking at you fabled leviathan)
Seeing some of the most broken monsters on here and Knightmare Goblin barely making it into the top 5 just shows how insanely different the game has gotten since link monsters were introduced
Just to let you know, when you were reading the effect of Union Carrier; not only did you say "from the hand or GY" the yellow text read the same way as well; which kind of makes things very confusing if new players are just listening to the audio in the background or if they just didnt actually know the card; since you then go on to describe how targets were equipped from the deck (which is what actually happened)
Link 2s can be pretty busted on their effects, Masquerena is one of my main go to Link 2s in Code Talker and Mathmech decks alongside Splash Mage, Cyberse Wicckid and Update Jammer.
Wait, Spright Elf has targeting protection!? I've been using it for ages and only now did I learn this! Holy shit, that's another level of power creep, the ability is good, and it was still able to use it without knowing the effect ever existed.
I only use Predaplant Verte Anaconda of those, but not for regular Fusions. I copy Super Polymerisation with it and con Use Verte + the Monster i just gave the Dark Attribute to, to Break oponents boards and get rid of very annoying Monsters.

It's disappointing that Konami does such a good job designing cards to fix real mistakes in a given rule set but never pushing them into the tcg when appropriate that they make it even worse. I also hate that a lot of tcgs I've played over the years have a major block against unbanning older cards that aren't problems anymore
Idk why verte was banned, they could have just made an errata so that your opponent takes no damage that turn unless the effects used to summon a predaplant monster. When all these ppl where running dragoons, that was back when I was playing a monster mash fun deck and I was running kaiju's, dangers, and super poly so when I was against someone relying on dragoon id just tribute theirs, and make my own along with avramax or super poly and spam summon a bunch of other beat sticks :)
I’m a bit disappointed that SPYral double helix didn’t get at least an honorable mention. It was a card that helped SPYral be a tier 0 deck, though it wasn’t the only card that made SPYral great.
I don't know why, but I still have great difficulty understanding why Halqifibrax was so powerful, though that might be do to me not being able to see how it's useful beyond Link climbing.
Look up Duelogs "Why this card is banned" series. Or just Halquifibrax combos. Main issue is that it has generic materials and can sp summon a tuner from the deck for no cost or restrictions

RIP Lib the World Key Blademaster, my favorite card. Her effects are good but not enough to make the list probably because of World Legacy restriction Every turn you can get 1 WL spell/trap on the field and use them that turn if you have WL monster in GY If she is linked away she can return 1 card to the deck She can be used with Secure Gradna (link 1) for instant removal effect. It is so strong when paired with I:P to make either Avram or Unicorn. If you make unicorn you can return 2 cards of the opponent to their hand which are too good of the interruption. If you make avram you canr return 1 card to the hand now, get a big boss monster with protection that also return 1 cards when it gets send to the GY later.
I do miss using Halq in my dinosaur deck, but it getting banned in Master Duel made perfect sense. If it didn't get Ash'd, Imperm'd, or Nibiru'd, one Scrap Raptor became three omni-negates because of Halq. Since every deck runs at least two hand traps that also happen to be level three or Tuners, every deck had the potential to make Halq and have something to summon from the deck with it. Halq was *waaaaay* to generic for the payoff it could get.

What about HOPT on ed summoning?
That's not enough
Nerf = Balanced.
I honestly hate how "archetypal support" being exclusive to its archetype is considered a downside
Decks that are able to make Auroradon combos are degenerate as hell tho
"In master duel..." is the new "But in duel links..."
@@randumo24 instant fusion ban hurts tear but unlike predaplant, they still can do their combo no problem so i don't see your point

- Sky Striker Ace - Zeke
- Donner, Dagger Fur Hire
- Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss
- Splash Mage
- Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy
- Tri-Brigade Ferrijit the Barren Blossom
Cross sheep does some insane stuff in decks like Shaddoll. Fusion decks abuse the hell out of the sheep.
Sheep is insane should've been on the list ngl.
I don't see any reason why zeke can be compared to anything on the list or the one you mention.
@@amamiyaharuto8407 sheep is very good
But only for fusion o deck that doesn't lock to fusion bc ritual couldn't use it bc they're well known to be not wanted their monster in gy majority of the time and i don't need to tell synchro and xyz
Link 2s have a stacked line-up, that top 5 is nuts
With Union Carrier, you forgot that another reason it was banned was because it was the main tool for a lot of decks being able to use the Buster Lock to completely shut off their opponents Extra Deck turn 1.
I have no problem with the Buster Lock in dedicated decks, but being able to generically give the option to the most common attribute and the most common type is problematic.

Love I:P & Isolde. Those two have been clutch for me over the years
Both Isolde and Marincess Coral Anemone are better than Knightmare Phoenix, but I guess Phoenix can be used more widely.

@@JudojugsVtuber Dpe is just too countered by Ishizu and anti tear cards, not worth running bricks for
@@tcoren1 hell no to that tbh, verte just making all decks using it bottlenecked themselves on summoning it and can make konami hesitates to make legacy supports, 3 super poly's already make the community enraged everytime it resolves (it dont need more enabler, tbh i like super poly too. i just dont want to hear another complain), it just a shitty RnD blunder that make card design harder to create and a ticking time bomb just to be abused. its too generic for its own good. not being good in 1-2 format where its generic targets are easily counterable doesnt mean the card itself is good for the game's life
I've been waiting for thos video, needed extra link 2 monsters to tech into my Sprights deck 😊
Honestly I like all the Hero links
Diviser makes using any old school hero stupidly easy
Cross is a great extender that turns FD into Plasma + DPE
Finally Diviser allows you to add extra monsters to your board and DOESN'T hero lock you
I really think the difference between halq and the others cards on the list is massive. Halq basically singlehandedly defines every format it's legal in, literally every deck would summon it first chance they got. It's also really funny that halq alongside a few other things made infernobles a incredible powerfull deck for a while but without halq it's basically unplayable lol
I:P to Goddes of Underworld with one of your cards as material is certainly a "imma call my mommy" moment in YGO
There's such a thing as too much consistency it turns out...
Other honorable mentions:
- Dharc, The Dark Charmer Gloomy (and all of link 2 Charmer monsters such as Lumina) - after Halq was banned in the game, link 2 charmers such as this became one of new substitute to Halquifibrax. With effect that can use dark monsters from your opponent’s graveyard to be used against them, a floating effect that can search 1500 ATK monster from your deck and a decent ATK power perfect as a good beatstick, its good to say the likes of this card is kind of a complete package on their own.
I've been waiting on this topic!
Could you do a top 10 list of cards that get other cards banned or limited but not itself?
4:11 you said that you can equip a monster from your hand or gy but it is from your hand or Deck which makes union carrier hit the ban list

I personnaly prefer softer locks, like restricting to a type/attribute.
I was also thinking about Dharc, Dagda and Cherubini to be on this list but not sure if they would be higher that any card already on it.
i think what killed halq ultimately is the same thing that killed the dragon rulers, with all of them except wind still being banned for now in the tcg. when the dragon rulers were at their most terrifying, what made them really bad is literally everyone had easy access to them via their tins. with halq, anyone that really wanted one just needed to pick up like 3 boxes of ghosts from the past 2 or buy it for like a buck on tcgplayer. like the dragon rulers halq was always really strong but konami finally saw just how good it is by giving literally any old player that wanted one really easy and cheap ways to get it so basically everyone had them.
By that logic Stardust dragon is a mistake and if you say it is you're insanely wrong.
@@TaikunZ Every deck robbed of it's identity? HERO's? Kashtira? Tearlaments? RDA? Swordsoul? Spright? Super surprised you brought up union carrier without talking about the buster lock
Having duel logs talk about crystron again is sure a pleasure.
Link 2s can be pretty busted on their effects, Masquerena is one of my main go to Link 2s in Code Talker and Mathmech decks alongside Splash Mage, Cyberse Wicckid and Update Jammer.
With the debut of S:P Little Knight and Moon of The Closed Heaven, clearly we need a prequel for this list.
I'd say only very recently has the Master Duel banlist even taken into account the fact that it's supposed to be for a BO1 format
The 10 Segments of "How is that this low!?" Followed by "Nah you right" made me realize just how insane link 2s are

Union Carrier keeps being the epitome of unecessary bans. It only needs an errata to restrict it to Union monters. And ban, solved.
I'm surprised how fast Konami caught on that Elf was so powerful and banned it before banning a bunch of generic level 2's like with Halq.
Knightmare Cerberus might be better if it allowed you to target the EMZ as well and maybe even could destroy any monster.
Yeah if it were just a targeted pop of any monster your opponent controls, it might've seen use on par with phoenix
What program do you use for your presentation style
Gotta love the captions on this video. Apparently the greatest link card is Christian Hockey Firebacks😂
Using Halq to draw out Geomathmech Magma would be nice. You get to pop two with it.
You use it to go into auroradon which leads into bigger boards
Now we need a link 2 that make our monster non banishable xD
I like how MD is finally considered as new format and not OCG lite anymore.
Guys I can’t believe they banned Christian Hockey Firebacks!
Top 10 special summon only monsters that interact with other kinds special summon only monsters (Like a LINK that supports fusions, or an Xyz that that supports rituals, and etc etc…)
RIP Lib the World Key Blademaster, my favorite card. Her effects are good but not enough to make the list probably because of World Legacy restriction
Every turn you can get 1 WL spell/trap on the field and use them that turn if you have WL monster in GY
If she is linked away she can return 1 card to the deck
She can be used with Secure Gradna (link 1) for instant removal effect.
Very surprising that Predaplant Verte Anaconda didn't make it to the list considering how horrifying it was.
Huh, the description has the proper names for all these monsters but for me the chapter names show some incorrect names such as IP Mask Arena and (my favorite) Christian Hockey Firebacks.
You should do another top 10 cards that aren’t broken bc of their archetype. So like more cards liek crystal bond or the subterror link monster
